Summary
➡ This text discusses the importance of maintaining a balanced immune system and offers strategies to support it. These include avoiding immunosuppressant drugs, managing stress, and avoiding hypersensitivity reactions. It also suggests lifestyle changes such as maintaining a positive mindset, getting good sleep, avoiding sugar and processed foods, practicing intermittent fasting, and consuming immune-supporting foods. The text emphasizes that these strategies are not supported by the FDA, but they can help improve your immune system and overall health.
➡ To boost your immune system, spend time outdoors for fresh air, sunshine, and grounding. Regular movement and exercise are crucial for health, improving lung function, mood, and energy levels. Stay hydrated and maintain optimal vitamin D levels, either through sun exposure or supplements. Lastly, take probiotics and digestive enzymes, consume vitamin C and zinc-rich foods, and consider using an infrared sauna for detoxification.
➡ Autoimmune diseases, which affect over 250 million people globally, are triggered by factors like genetic susceptibility, leaky gut syndrome, and various environmental triggers. To reduce the risk of these diseases, it’s recommended to avoid processed foods, drink filtered water, chew food well, consume certain fats, use antimicrobial herbs, practice intermittent fasting, optimize vitamin D levels, improve stomach acid levels, drink herbal tea, improve sleep, and consume magnesium and B vitamin-rich foods.
➡ To maintain good health, it’s important to consume magnesium-rich foods, probiotics, and prebiotics, and ensure regular bowel movements. Magnesium, found in foods like leafy vegetables and pumpkin seeds, is crucial for over 1500 bodily functions. Probiotics and prebiotics, found in foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, and various vegetables, help improve digestion and energy levels. Regular bowel movements, which can be aided by magnesium intake and drinking plenty of water, are essential for removing waste and toxins from the body.
➡ The article discusses the importance of understanding food allergies and sensitivities, and how they can cause inflammation and health issues. It suggests an elimination diet to identify problematic foods and recommends a food allergy test. It also highlights the role of mitochondria in our cells and suggests supporting them with certain supplements. Lastly, it emphasizes the importance of personal empowerment in managing chronic illnesses, challenging negative beliefs about health, and adopting an individualized treatment plan.
➡ Dr. Bryan Ardis suggests that Crohn’s disease may be caused by a common parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, rather than being a genetic condition. He believes that treating these parasites can alleviate the symptoms of Crohn’s. He also emphasizes the importance of listening to your body and not blindly following conventional medical advice. His approach to health involves a shift in perspective and a focus on natural treatments.

I want to be labeled some disease. I’ve got to have something. All right, Well, I have figured out in my lifetime, and being in clinical practice for almost two decades, that there are people who literally go around the world looking for a medical professional to give them an official medical diagnosis that can literally be the label and the narrative of their entire life. Just about and almost every aspect of their life circumvents around this new diagnosis. So, unbeknownst to you, there’s hundreds of millions of people every year, I guess, celebrate Undiagnosis Day, not being diagnosed with a medical condition.
So we’re going to talk about living without a diagnosis. And then what are the most basic things you can do to start trying to resolve your symptoms you’re struggling with so that you don’t seek a diagnosis of that symptom? So just real quickly, a medical diagnosis is just a name given to a collection of symptoms you’re suffering from. You don’t actually have the name of the disease. You have symptoms, like literal physical symptoms. So for some people, they have diarrhea intermittently with constipation, and you’ll be told that you have a disease called irritable bowel syndrome. You don’t have irritable syndrome.
You have constipation, diarrhea, intermixed. So what’s causing that would be the number one question. And it is not a drug deficiency. It’s also not, not been given a name. That’s not why you have the symptoms. So let’s dive into undiagnosed day, 2026. All right, so I have a PowerPoint here. I’m going to be relaying to you a lot of principles to begin the process of healing for anything that might be causing your symptoms. You are running around the world looking for a diagnosis of to be named all right, so here we go. Let’s dive in. Welcome to the show.
I hope you enjoy this one. Share it far and wide with anybody you know seeking a diagnosis. This is how to live life without a medical diagnosis is what we’re calling this. All right, so let’s blow this up for my pleasure. On the screen, scan the QR code. If you’re new here to the Dr. Ardis show, you will get notified if you put in your email when you scan this QR code. We’re going to notify of our once a week health podcast. Well, I do one a week if you want to be notified of what we’re doing, because we’re trying to do a lot here.
All right, here is undiagnosedday.org’s homepage. Undiagnosed Day 2026. Just read the caption on the right. 350 million people live with an undiagnosed disease. No, you live with symptoms that just haven’t been given a name yet. All right, undiagnosed day 2026. On April 29, 2026, we mark undiagnosed Day. This isn’t just a day. It’s a movement a day, not about the disease. This day is dedicated to the 350 million people living with undiagnosed diseases. They even have an acronym for that plwuddle and their families. People living with undiagnosed diseases. I am not okay with people suffering needlessly.
I just find these terms and terminologies silly sometimes. So let’s dive into how do you live a life when you’ve been diagnosed, not diagnosed yet with any specific disease. So if you have symptoms, if you have rectal bleeding, you have a belly button, seeping mucus or pus that smells up the whole room, that is a symptom that some people live with. If you have toenail fungus, if you have excess earwax, if you have joint pain, if you have fevers, if you have seizures, these are symptoms. Okay? And if nobody’s given you a name yet of what your condition is, so you can’t join that support group yet you so desperately need, we’re going to walk you through what are some top 12 immune support strategies to thrive in life.
While you’re looking for your diagnosis, by the time you get to a person that can give you a diagnosis, your symptoms could be gone. If you apply the information we’re about to give you. This is from DrJockers.com your immune system in order to understand your symptoms that you’re looking for a Diagnosis for you need to understand your immune system’s driving all of your symptoms. Only a fever is created by symptoms created by your immune system. Only joint pain is created by your immune system. Only diarrhea is created by your immune system. Only headaches are created by your immune system.
All right, so let’s dive into your immune system. You might want to try to understand that one system if you want to try to resolve your symptoms. Your immune system is a complex system that protects you from viruses, bacteria, parasites and other pathogens. It’s a complex system that’s essential for your health and survival. Optimum immune support is important for your health at all times, regardless if you have a diagnosis or not. As we face more stressful experiences, it is even more important to strengthen your body with good immune system strategies. Here’s a summary graphic of your body’s immune systems defense services.
It includes lymph nodes like your tonsils, your spleen, lymph nodes in your groin, breast, armpits, adenoids in your sinus, cavities, respiratory system, lungs and heart. Skin is the largest detoxing organ of your body. White blood cells are your immune cells. Thymus gland is what tells your white blood cells to kill which infections or cancer cells are in your body. Those are called T. C.E. t stands for thymus. The thymus gland sits right behind your sternum, by the way. And then the spleen, which I already mentioned, is the largest lymph node in the human body. Stomach and intestines produce 90% of your immune system.
Now let’s discuss what types of immunity there are. Once your body creates an antibody, it stays in your body forever. There are several types of immunity. What’s called innate immunity. This is the immune system’s that you were born with that allows your body to fight pathogens like bacteria, fungus, viruses, parasites, until you develop what’s called an adaptive immunity. So innate means it’s already there when you’re born. Adaptive immunity, this is the form of immunity, is also called acquired immunity. It’s a library of antibodies that your body develops through being exposed to and fighting off pathogens throughout your life.
So things you’re exposed to after you’re born. Passive immunity. This is a form of immunity that includes a baby’s protection through the placenta or from the breast milk of its mama and that immune system supplied through breast milk. And the placenta lasts for a certain period to protect the baby, usually for three years after birth until it can defend itself. The majority of a baby’s immune system, by the way, everybody doesn’t fully develop on its own to defend itself against bacteria, virus, fungus and parasites until after you’re three years old. The this is why breast milk and breastfeeding are so important.
You do not get antibodies in formula. So if you want to know why these kids are so sickly around the world, you’re not getting breast milk that has antibodies in it that provides passive immunity. Soybean formula that don’t provide any immunity. No formula has it in there. Immunization. Immunization exposes your body. These are vaccines. Expose your body to antigens and weakened pathogens, virus, fungus, parasites and bacteria to protect your body from specific infections and illnesses in the future. Here’s just a graphic summarizing the different types of immunity. You see innate immunity on the left. That is what you’re born with.
Acquired immunity. This is what is afterbirth. You have your active immunity. Passive immunity. Passive immunity is breast milk. Placenta. Active immunity. Natural and artificial. You’re exposed to the bugs naturally. Artificial is vaccines artificial. Artificial immunity. That’s what AI should stand for. Artificial immunity. AI Immune system problems. They have what are termed immunodeficiency. For example, prednisone, a steroid, shuts off the immune system. Asthma inhalers are steroids. They shut off the immune system. Your symptoms of an asthma attack are caused by your immune system reacting to something. You puff an asthma inhaler to shut off your immune system, creating the asthma attack.
Wouldn’t it be better to know what the immune system is trying to attack that’s affecting your breathing? Yes. Can asthma be reversed? Yes. We’ve already done it with my daughter years ago. Immunodeficiency. You may develop an immune deficiency, which means that one or several parts of your immune system cannot function optimally. Immunodeficiencies may develop for a variety of reasons, including drugs including genetic defects from birth, age, obesity, malnutrition, infections and alcoholism. Notice they did not mention drugs. Did you know prednisone alone is in a category of drugs called immunosuppressant? It literally shuts off the immune system, making you immunodeficient by definition.
Never be afraid, Dr. Jockers, to mention the drugs. Pharmaceutical drugs suppress the immune system. Autoimmunity. You may develop autoimmunity or an autoimmune condition. This means that your immune system attacks and destroys cells in your body, mistaking them for pathogens or compromised cells. Autoimmune conditions include Celiac’s disease, Hashimoto’s, which is an under functioning thyroid with autoimmune antibodies, rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes and lupus. Hypersensitivity reactions. Stress the immune system. Hypersensitivity means that your immune system overreacts to something and damages healthy cells. Anaphylactic shock due to an allergen is one example of this Picture a kid that’s allergic to peanuts.
Actually, do you remember the Miss Doubtfire movie when Robin Williams being dressed up like a woman named Miss Doubtfire when she finds out that the actor Pierce Brosnan is allergic to spice. She goes into the kitchen and hits cayenne pepper onto the shrimp he’s going to eat. And then he has an anaphylactic reaction, almost dies. Then he has to end up Robin Williams saving his life on the floor because he almost killed the guy who’s dating his ex wife. All right, so that’s an anaphylactic reaction. Overreaction, unhealthy lifestyle and dietary choices, toxins and stress can weaken your immune system.
Here’s a balanced immune system. An internal threat is an autoimmune problem. An external threat is like the spice on the shrimp and missed out fire for example, and peanuts and whatever right in the middle. You’ve seen green is a balanced immune system equals optimal effectiveness. It’s not reacting to anything, overreacting to anything. There’s no external threats causing it to overreact. It’s just normal. An immune that is an immune system that’s under reactive would be those experienced during cancer treatment. Hepatitis, hiv, shingles and TB suppress the immune system and then infections, bacteria, mold, fungus, parasites, viruses. All right, so here’s your top 12 immune support strategies.
Supporting your immune system is important no matter what. If you are going to try to address your undiagnosed problems, you need to address the immune system. And none, I want to highlight here, none of these strategies strategies to support the immune system are supported by the fda. No, they don’t want to support your immune system. They want to drug your immune system. All right, number one, to improve your immune system. A strategy to improve your immune system is to be grateful and positive. Just a few months ago I did a whole show called the Law of Gratitude.
Go back and watch it if you missed it. Chronic stress and its impact gratitude on your physical health. And I give you case studies. Actually medical research studies confirming positive thoughts elevates the immune system, helps you reverse cancer, helps improve infections and fighting them off and improving your health overall and reducing heart disease. Just being grateful. Chronic stress can be detrimental to your immune system. It can increase inflammation and make you more vulnerable to infections and illness. Being grateful and keeping a positive mindset is more important than ever before to lower your stress level and protect your immune system.
Have you ever heard laughter is the best medicine? If you haven’t, go watch Patch Adams the movie and you’ll learn it. Stop several times a day to be thankful for the good things. Engage in uplifting activities such as dancing in your living room, playing with your kids or pets, Watching a comedy. I just said laughter is the best medicine. Listening to music? I would say elevating the mood music or reading your favorite book. Say a prayer or practice any spiritual activities that feel right for you. Here’s examples of giving thanks Grateful people typically have more energy and optimism, are less bothered by life’s hassles, are more resilient in the face of stress, are typically healthier, have a positive mood, are more compassionate, are more likely to help others, are less materialistic and are more satisfied with life.
Prioritize good sleep for immune support. Getting poor sleep on a regular basis can lead to increased stress, high inflammation and lower immunity. Make sleep a priority. Avoid electronics and instead try board games, reading, relaxing, music, crossword puzzles, crafts, coloring, meditation and journaling. Make sure your bedroom is a safe sanctuary with a comfortable bed, bedding and pillows. We have gone linked to this with Healing for the Ages. If you have not been subscribed to Healing for the Ages, you need to go download each of our previous three years annual conferences. We dive into the significance of sleep how to create a sanctuary in your bedroom how to reduce EMF exposure get the TVs out of your room what temperatures to make your room how dark to make your room what you should be sleeping on.
Yeah, we go through all of that with you. Tips for a great night’s sleep have it listed there. Have your room cool. Keep your room in dark as possible. Use a sleeping mask if you’re comfortable with that. Avoid caffeine within eight hours of sleeping. Don’t eat within three hours of sleeping. Get sun exposure during the day. Wind down at 8pm or no wind down at 9pm, it says. Avoid bright light after sunset. Exercise regularly but not late at night. Number three way strategy to improve your immune system is to avoid sugar and processed food. If you have an undiagnosed disease or you have symptoms, get off the flippin Sugar and processed foods Unless you just like suffering.
Sugar and processed foods are extremely inflammatory to your body. Chronic inflammation can lead to poor immune function, which increases your risk of infection and disease. Sugar suppresses the immune system of a human and the Only thing that can heal somebody from any symptoms, any infection, any cancer, any disease is your immune system. Why would you put crap in your mouth that turns off the immune system if you’re wanting to heal? If you want to stay sick and you want to stay in pain, you want your disease, please, please, please keep eating as much processed food and sugar as you can.
Avoid processed foods and foods that are high in refined sugar, refined oils, gluten, conventional dairy, artificial ingredients, coloring and additives. Choose an anti inflammatory diet rich in greens, vegetables, fruits, clean protein and healthy fats. There’s a Great book by Dr. C Man Se A M A n. It’s called the Deflamed Diet book. Go buy it. If you live with chronic inflammation and pain, buy the book. These are the top foods and food ingredients that turn on more pain and inflammation and disease and you see the list. Gluten, sugar, refined carbs, red meat and dairy. Conventional red meat by the way, not pasture raised, grass fed, farm raised fish and seafood is inflammatory, not wild caught, farm raised artificial sweeteners, highly processed vegetables, food additives, trans fats, processed meats.
Number four strategy for boosting your immune system. While you’re looking for a diagnosis, practice intermittent fasting or immune support. Mega important. We have gone over this in nauseam with Healing for the ages and the Dr. Dr. Ardis Show. So listen to this. It’s very simple. If you don’t want to avoid processed foods and sugar, stop eating as much of them then. Alright. Intermittent fasting is a strategy that involves fasting not eating for a period of time followed by a period of feasting or eating. Intermittent fasting increases autophagy, killing of cells that are diseases or bugs, cellular regeneration, immune system function and genetic repair.
It reduces inflammation and the risk of disease. I Recommend this is Dr. Jockers that you start out with a simple fast that involves 12 hours of fasting including your overnight sleep. So you’re sleeping for a lot of it. If you’re sleeping for eight hours and he’s saying avoid food for 12 hours, that’s just four hours after you wake up or before you go to bed. How fasting impacts the immune system. I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss something. I did. At the bottom, a sweet spot is a 16 to 18 hour fast. Four to five days a week and one day where you do a 20 to 24 hour fast.
Amen. I agree 100%. So look at how fasting impacts the immune system. Just a summary of what we just went over. It improves your microbiome, rejuvenates immune cells, reduces inflammation and kills cancer cells disease cells called autophagy Number five strategy for boosting the immune system is consuming immune supporting enhancing foods. We highlighted them on the screen. I don’t need to read them all. Most of them are green leafy veggies. Start eating more Charred kale, spinach, vegetables including cucumber, celery, broccoli, herbs and spices including turmeric, ginger, basil, mint, Low glycemic fruits including lemons and berries Healthy fats including avocado, coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, grass fed butter and ghee Clean protein including grass fed beef, poultry and eggs Wild caught seafood.
We’ve already gone to that ad nauseam. Choose home cooked meals whenever possible. I would highly encourage you, Dr. Jockers and I both and your family start cooking more and to try new recipes that support the immune system. These are the top eight foods that impact your health. Improving your immune system Apple cider vinegar, Lemons and limes, Mushrooms, bone broth, onions, olive oil, ginger and garlic Number six Strategy for improving your immune system Fresh air, sunshine and grounding have we not already gone over that with our Healing for the Ages conference? Being outdoors has endless benefits. Being in the sunshine can increase your vitamin D levels, which are important for optimal immune function.
Sunshine can also improve your mood, reduce stress and elevate depression and anxiety. Breathing the fresh air helps to clear your lungs. Grounding, standing or walking on dirt, grass or sand can help you connect to the earth and improve your physical mental health. Be sure to step outside and spend time in your garden, yard, balcony or street. In front of your house or apartment as much as you can, open the windows to let the fresh air in. And this is just a summary of some of the impact of sunlight on your body. Happiness Awakening Sleep Studies have found that sunlight could help your nerve cells grow in the hippocampus, which is the part of the brain responsible for forming, organizing and storing of memories.
Number seven Strategy for improving your immune system Regular movement and exercise as Dr. Henry Ely always says, it’s your duty to move your booty. I’ve actually said in practice for 20 years, motion is life. You need to be moving your body. The more sedentary we become as a society, the more unhealthy we become. And if you don’t know that, they don’t know this. The world doesn’t know this. Hollywood knows it. Have you seen the Disney Disney Pixar film Wall E? Go watch that little robot movie and tell me they don’t know what happens when you become sedentary Regular movement, exercise are particularly important.
Important for a healthy immune system. It improves your lung function, cardiovascular health, mood and energy levels while reducing inflammation and building strength and muscle. Make sure to exercise 20 to 30 minutes a day. Now I have to speak to this your lymph system, including your lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen are connected to thousands of lymph nodes in your body by lymph vessels, lymphatic drainage, lymphatic massage are terms you may have heard you don’t have a pump for your lymph system. They are your joints and your lymph system is what removes all toxins and infections from your body to keep you healthy and to reverse your undiagnosed diagnosis.
So move your joints, swim, walk, I don’t care. Speed, walk, get your arms pumping, use a rebounder, I don’t care. Regular movement and exercise. You may also mix up your cardiovascular exercises such as walking, running, biking or dancing as well as body training exercise routines, yoga, Pilates, kettlebell, etc Even if you’re at home, make sure to take time throughout the day to stretch. Do a yoga sequence, walk around the room, dance to your favorite songs or if possible, go outside for a short walk or try gardening. Here’s some summarized benefits of Movement Reduces stress and tension in the body Improves mood and happiness Enhances mental clarity and memory about the only time I can think you don’t want to move or improve your memory is maybe you don’t like who you’re married to and you want to forget who they are.
You ever watch the Notebook movie? If you want to know what it’s like to not remember the person you’re living with, you should stop moving, eat all the processed food and sugar you want, get as many vaccines as you can to get as many metals in your brain as possible. So you develop dementia and then you too can forget who you’re married to or who’s important in your life. Otherwise, move. Improve circulation stimulates lymphatic drainage, balances key brain neurotransmitters, enhances tissue oxygenation, good hydration and drink herbal teas. Wow. Is there more appropriate time to talk about our hydrate complete? Not doing that right now.
Just know good hydration is important. Dr. Jockers is not going to mention my hydrate complete. He’s going to talk about water. Good hydration is essential for healthy immune function. You are made up of 70 to 80% water, by the way. He recommends that you drink eight to 10 glasses of clean water a minimum a day. If you’re exercising, spend time outside in the sun. If you’re recovering from an illness or infection or otherwise feeling dehydrated, drink more. Listen to your body. Add a slice of lime for some extra flavor. Additionally, I recommend drinking herbal tea as well as echinacea.
Ginger and peppermint are fantastic options for immune support. Here are some key tips for optimal hydration. Not going to review it, but you have it now. You can screenshot it, take it with you, you name it. Optimize your vitamin D levels is the next strategy for improving your immune system while you are suffering with your undiagnosis. Diagnosis number nine Vitamin D is essential for healthy immune function. While the sun is your best friend for boosting vitamin D, chances are you don’t spend enough time outside in the sun to meet your needs. Vitamin D rich foods including fatty fish, beef liver and egg yolks offer some support, but not enough to optimize your vitamin D levels.
Pairing vitamin D3 with vitamin K2 helps improve calcium absorption inflammatory control. Taking a vitamin D supplement with at least 3,000 to 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3 and at least 90 micrograms of vitamin K2 support your immune, skin, cardiovascular and bone health, which is exactly the doses 5000ius of vitamin D3 and and the 990 micrograms of vitamin K2 and our organic MCT oil based vitamin D3 K2 supplement. Typically taking 1000ius per 25 pounds of body weight will help you get your levels into a healthy range. Also, I just need to say this. Vanderbilt did a recent research study and found that if you just feed the body magnesium, there’s bacteria lives in the gut, lactobacillus and bifidobacteria that draw in magnesium and produce enough vitamin D from magnesium that it fills the vitamin D into the bloodstream and raises vitamin D without the sun and without the vitamin D.
Three years ago I was called the Magnesium Doctor on TikTok famous all around the world for all my viral videos about magnesium. I love magnesium. Here are 10 signs that you may need more vitamin D per Dr. Jocker’s website. Greater brain sensitivity, Mood issues, depression, sleepiness, stress fractures, decreased endurance, high blood pressure, muscle weakness, frequent illnesses and learning disorders just to name a few. 10 Strategy for Improving your immune system Take probiotics and digestive enzymes. Your gut health and immune health are interconnected just like I just mentioned, with magnesium and lactobacillus and bifidobacteria. Keeping your gut microbiome balanced is absolutely critical for a healthy immune system.
Here’s benefits of using probiotics summarized by Dr. Jocker’s team. Immunomodulation protects against infections, improves digestive health, increased nutrient absorption improve brain health, aid in weight loss and metabolic byproduct formation. Who doesn’t want to be less bloated? Number 11 strategies for increasing your immune system Use vitamin C and zinc for immune support Vitamin C and zinc are both essential for immune health. Vitamin C rich foods include lemons, limes, oranges, mandarins, grapefruits, guava, strawberries, papaya, pineapples, kiwi, sweet green peppers, broccoli and brussels sprouts. You’ll see our immune C there on the on the slide also. And then zinc.
Foods that are rich in zinc include spinach, pumpkin seed, salmon and grass fed dairy. We also have zinc plus at the doctor already show the benefits of vitamin C are summarized on this graphic Supports immune health improves energy and adrenal health Supports healthy joints and skin improves blood flow and heart health Improves histamine responses so you’re not having anaphylactic shock Asthma, allergies is often and supports healthy aging the 12th way to boost the immune system Strategy for increasing your immune system’s ability to heal you from your suffering from your undiagnosed diagnosis Use an infrared sauna. We talk about saunaspace.com, reflex Sauna.
They’re both trusted partners of the Doctor Artist Show. Whatever one fits your budget, make sure you’re doing it all the time. Infrared saunas have countless health benefits. They support detox, improve immune health, reduce stress and improve energy and then explain to you on this infographic how sauna therapy improves your health. Increases growth hormone, reduces inflammation improves physical endurance improves insulin sensitivity for all you diabetics or pre diabetics, it helps with detoxification. The skin’s the largest detoxing organ in the whole body. You will sweat out all the toxins Stimulates cell death of bacteria, fungi, parasites and cancer cells Activates heat shock proteins that help prevent diseases in The Body Top 12 Immune Support Strategies summarized on the screen Be grateful and positive.
Prioritize good sleep Avoid sugar and processed foods Practice intermittent fasting Consume immune supportive foods fresh air, sunshine and grounding regular movement, exercise good hydration and drink herbal teas Optimize vitamin D levels Take probiotics and digestive enzymes, you vitamin C and zinc and use an infrared sauna. 12 simple steps. And now we’re going to dive into 25 ways you can reduce your immune system, which is what people are struggling with anyway. If you have a undiagnosed diagnosis. All right, so let’s dive into this specific article also 25 Ways to Reduce it. If you have a condition, you’re going to make sure you avoid these things.
All right? Conditions of autoimmunity how to reduce your chances of autoimmunity. So let’s see if we can reduce developing autoimmunity, which is one of the primary triggers for all diseases. Conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and Ms. Affect over 250 million people worldwide and in the United States. They are the third leading chronic disease behind heart disease and cancer. Autoimmunity is classically known to have a three legged stool. One is genetic susceptibility. I am not going to dive into that. But that is their favorite thing to blame and read. Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton. You are not a product of your genetics.
Number two, leaky gut syndrome. Yes, there are problems with the gut that leads to many autoimmune diseases, including lupus. Damage to the gut causes large proteins to get into the bloodstream and the body reacts with inflammation and autoimmunity. In those who are susceptible, there is always a trigger. A trigger for leaky gut. A trigger for your autoimmune disease. This could be a serious emotional or physical trauma of some type. It could also be parasites, bacteria, fungi, parasites, heavy metal poisonings, vaccine injuries, you name it. Any situation like this can overwhelm the body and cause it to adapt poorly and fail to modulate or balance the immune system and trigger autoimmunity.
There’s a stool, the three legs I just mentioned. But here are some of the triggers. Mold exposure, environmental chemicals like I just mentioned. Heavy metals, high blood sugar, nutrient deficiencies, many of those. Emotional stress, GMOs, dehydration, chronic infection, sedentary lifestyle and trauma. Let’s stick with nutritional deficiencies. Vitamin C and selenium, two of the most basic. Vitamin D. Also three of the most basic nutritional deficiencies that lead to all autoimmune diseases. Selenium being most important in my opinion. Alright, so ways to reduce autoimmunity. Avoid processed foods. If you have an undiagnosed diagnosis, avoid processed foods. They contain dangerous environmental chemicals that alter your microbiome in your gut in favor of the development of bad bacteria and yeast that cause autoimmune diseases.
These foods will cause a vicious cycle of inflammation that will damage your gut lining and promote autoimmune activity. These are the top anti inflammatory foods on the list. Just look at them. I’m not going to read them. These are your pro inflammatory foods. Now remember, anybody watching this, if you have an undiagnosed diagnosis, please download this PowerPoint at the resources tab of the Dr. Auto Show. And make sure you read these graphics. You Download the free PowerPoint. This whole PowerPoint is free at the resources tab at the Dr. Auto Show. Here are pro inflammatory foods. You’ll see your dairies on the right.
You’ll see your hamburgers and processed foods, fried foods and carbs. Number two Drink filtered water. Watch the Waters, the documentary I created 2021, 2022. Only drink water that has been filtered. I cannot discuss this. I actually think distilled water, even over ro you’re about to learn, is the most powerful way to detox water. Here, though Dr. Jockers mentions a highly quality carbon filter. Even better, a reverse osmosis system, which I do have in my home. And our system takes out the chlorine, fluoride, disinfectant products and more in your water. One challenge though is that reverse osmosis filters can remove minerals and he recommends adding a quarter teaspoon of pink salt, which has multiple nutrients in it and trace minerals.
A quarter teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt for every gallon of RO water to make up for the minerals lost in RO systems. You using several drops of a good essential oil like peppermint or lemon or lime will also add antioxidant compounds. Here are some benefits to water. Brain health, kidney health, gut health, joint health, blood health and heart health. Number three Chew your food well. It’s really funny. My kids. I have five kids myself. My wife and I together have eight. But they always make fun that I’m the fun of me, that I’m the slowest eater in the family.
Everyone clears the table. I’m still sitting there eating. The more you chew your food, the less stress you will place on your digestive system and the more nutrients you will extract from them. Aim to chew each bite 30 to 40 times. This will be tough at first, but the more aware you are and you become of the art of chewing, the natural it will become. Chew your food more. It helps your gut absorb nutrients better. 4. Consume small and medium chain fats. Small chain fats such as butyric acid and butter. That’s why it’s called butter and medium chain fats.

Number 7 Optimize your vitamin D. Be sure to increase your vitamin D through good amounts of regular sun exposure and or taking high quality vitamin D3 supplements. Vitamin D is one of the most important immune system balancers. There’s our vitamin D3K2 and I need to reemphasize Vanderbilt University confirmed just a few years ago when you supplement with magnesium.
We have magnesium complex. Lactobacillus and bifidobacteria. Draw in magnesium and then produce vitamin D in the body even without sunlight or supplemented. Here are the benefits of vitamin D for those concerned about autoimmunity. Undiagnosed diagnosis it reduces inflammation. Vitamin D does reduces autoimmunity, improves brain function, reduces cancer cell growth, improves immunity, enhances mood and sleep and reduces your risk of heart disease. Stop taking in acids. Here are all the benefits and ways to improve stomach acid production. Use ginger super hydrate Outside of meal times, drink very little. Use lemon and apple cider vinegar. Sorry, these are kind of hard to read. They’re a little bit small on my screen. Eat protein foods the beginning of the meal. Use fermented veggies. Use fermented drinks. Drink your kombucha. Eat your largest meal when you are most relaxed. That’s ways to improve naturally your stomach acid. Number nine Drink herbal tea with good fats. Herbal teas contain powerful antioxidants that favor the development of a healthy microbe.
Be sure to get organic varieties. Number 10 Ways to Reduce your risk of autoimmunity Improve your sleep. Sleeping a high quality eight to nine hours each night, which I do every single night, is key to stabilizing the immune system and enhancing whole body healing. This is absolutely critical to improving any form of autoimmunity. Be sure to develop an evening wind down strategy. Be in bed by 10. Keep your room as dark as possible. Under 70 degrees can also improve sleep quality. Yes it can. 68 to 69 and using an overhead fan for circulating air can make a big difference.
I love ceiling fans. 7 strategies for better sleep. You see them on the screen. 11. Magnesium and B vitamin rich foods. We just talked about magnesium producing vitamin D in the body to help reduce your risk of autoimmunity. Magnesium is super important for blood sugar sensitivity, methylation and protecting the blood brain barrier. The best magnesium and B vitamin rich foods include dark leafy veggies, pumpkin seeds, grass fed dairy and raw cacao. I just want to highlight here that magnesium and B vitamins are in our magnesium complex and magnesium and B complexes are in our multivitamin gummies.
For adults and kids, magnesium is the Master Mineral. It’s responsible for over 1500 functions in your body. If you aren’t supplementing magnesium and you have an undiagnosed diagnosis, I’m sorry, you obviously don’t care about your health or you just haven’t got the message. You all need to be on magnesium, blood sugar balance, improved circulation, cellular energy, a calm nervous system, stress impacts immunity, pain relief, bone density improvement, joints and ligament flexibility and deep sleep patterns improved and bowel movements improved which is your big time detoxing pathway. 12. Use a high quality probiotic supplement. It’s also a good idea to consume prebiotic foods such as radishes, artichokes, onions, garlics, leeks, cruciferous veggies, carrots, dandelion, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds and other veggies.
13. Consume healthy prebiotic foods that help reduce inflammation and improve bowel health. They’re fuel for your healthy biome and this includes dark green leafy veggies. You’ll learn about these in the deflamed Diet book. Asparagus, leeks, carrots, onions, garlic, radishes, artichokes and jicama. Here are examples of probiotics and prebiotics and the difference Probiotics are your live organisms. Prebiotics are non living, non digestible by human regular probiotics or bacteria. Yeast prebiotics are they serve as food for bacteria and yeast already in your gut and you can see the differences of where this come from. 14. Consume probiotic rich foods which are the bacteria and yeast.
Living organisms such as sauerkraut, kimchi, beet kvass, coconut water kefir and coconut yogurt can add more live enzymes, acid metabolites and probiotic microbes to enhance digestion and improve energy levels. If you’re new to fermented food, start small with a teaspoon of coconut water kefir. Dr. Jockers recommends number 15 move your bowels. I just mentioned that earlier. You’ve got to move your bowels. Magnesium helps with that. You should be having at least two to three solid bowel movements daily. I repeat, all of you should be having two to three bowel movements daily. And if you’re listening to me and you’re like but I am undiagnosed diagnosis and I only poop one a day.
That’s why you’re sick. Your bowels literally are gathering all the garbage from what you have been consuming in the air, water and food, packaging it into sewer sludge. That’s called your stool. And the longer that stool sits in your bowels, the Bowels are sponges and they’re just absorbing all the crap that your body doesn’t want from the sewer sludge called your fecal matter. You should be pooping two to three times every day. And if you’re not, I’m sorry. This is one of the main reasons you’re sick. You want to eliminate food waste with a 12 to 24 hour period, or the material becomes a breeding ground for bad microbes toxins.
This will trigger immune reactions and inflammation. Begin by drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily, and more if you’re constipated. For those of you who are constipated, your magnesium dose is this specific. Take your weight in pounds. If you don’t have two to three bowel movements a day and you have an undiagnosed diagnosis, you need to take your weight in pounds divided by 2.2 pounds. That gives you your kilogram amount. Multiply that times 10.6 milligrams. You now have the amount of magnesium every single day you need to be consuming until the day you die.
Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 pounds, which is a kilogram. Take that kilogram total times 10.6 milligrams. That is how much magnesium you need to be taking every single day the rest of your life. Along with drinking this much water. Using high doses of magnesium and vitamin C also work. Try taking 500 milligrams or 1 gram of magnesium citrate or oxide. You can take vitamin C up until bowel tolerance. Yes, you can begin with 5 grams, which is 5,000 milligrams, and go up until it induces a stool and it might even be diarrhea. And these are our magnesium complex and our immune C supplements, which is vitamin C loaded carminative herbs.
Carminatives are herbs that stimulate the digestive system to work better. In fact, very soon, Dr. Ardis show. Maybe by the time you watch this, there’s going to be a supplement we have which is all herbs. These carminative herbs. The product will be called Doc’s Poop Assist to ensure you have your two to three bowel movements every single day, which the majority of Americans do not. These herbs contain a high content of volatile oils that are effective at expelling gas and easing gripping pains from the stomach and intestines. These herbs also tone the mucous surfaces and increase peristaltic activity.
Peristalsis is the action to move poop through your intestines to your anus to empty. Something is moving the stool sample all the way through your small intestine and large and large intestine all the way to your anus. That’s called peristaltic action within the esophagus and stomach, this peristaltic action propels food and waste through the systems. Herbs include coriander, cinnamon, ginger, juniper, anise oil, fennel, cloves, caraway, dill, peppermint, thyme and licorice of which some of those are in my doc’s Poop assist. Also for the time being, foreign protein cleanse has cinnamon in it, has licorice and it’s the second ingredient in there by volume.

Number 20 practice oil pulling using essential oils, oil pulling reduces the microbial load by binding to bacteria and bacterial waste products in the mouth. This takes stress off the immune system and reduces inflammation levels throughout the body Practice this two times daily for optimal results.
You can even use our biodefense that has peppermint and spearmint oil as an oil pooler. Here’s an example. Instructions how to do Oil pulling with coconut oil Put 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth. 2. Swish the oil in your mouth for about 10 to 20 minutes. 3. Spit the oil out and brush your teeth. Bile’s main digestive responsibility is to break down fats and create fatty acids that can be readily absorbed and used by your body.
When the body has metabolic problems that lead to poor bile production and utilization, it can cause serious health disturbances. Here’s four major benefits of Bile Breaks down fats Kill off bad bugs Excretes Waste products blood sugar metabolism increase 22 way to reduce autoimmunity the antioxidant found in essential oils and aromatherapy therapy. Benefits of essential oils help to improve oxygenation and reduce the harmful effects of oxidative stress throughout the body. Dr. Jockers favorites for reducing autoimmunity include lavender, frankincense and peppermint. Peppermint is inside of our biodefense. It’s one of the top four by volume ingredients in there along with spearmint.
Just wanted to highlight that Dr. Jockers recommends diffusing these in your house so you breathe in the antioxidant compounds. You can also apply them to the body with the help of a carrier oil such as coconut oil. You don’t need much, just two drops of each with a half of a teaspoon of coconut oil. Rub that on your thyroid and bottom of your throat, sore joints and other regions to reduce inflammation and improve healing. These are food sensitivities versus Food allergies. There are specifically foods that trigger allergies and inflammation and we just threw this in here so you know.
If you read the book by Dr. Seaman S E A M A M the Deflame Diet, you’ll learn about these foods that create inflammation. There are foods that create allergies reactions and there’s food sensitivities and this slide helps educate you on which is which. If you need help knowing which food you might have allergies to and you can’t really define on your own through just looking and feeling and observing your own life, go to energetic health institute.org, go to health screenings and click the first one and pay to have Dr. Ely and his team walk through with you.
Your food allergy results how to reduce autoimmunity number 23 improve your mitochondria the mitochondria are little battery cells in your organs, cells of all the trillions of cells in your body. They are the energy powerhouses of your cells. When someone has an autoimmune disorder, it’s a clinical sign they have a dysfunctional activity going on in your mitochondria. Very true. Then Dr. Jockers writes this Support your mitochondria with clinical doses of CoQ10L carnitine and N acetylcysteine and lipoic acid. Well, I want to show you this. This is our N acetylcysteine at the Dr. Dr. Ardis show one of those four he recommends.
Number 24 way eliminate your food sensitivities this is where I’m diving into the food allergies and sensitivities slide. Just a few prior it’s actually in the wrong place, but that’s okay. Follow an elimination diet and use biofeedback testing in order to determine what foods are causing inflammation and dysfunction in your system and make it a goal to discover the foods you tolerate the best. The four most common food allergy foods are corn, wheat, soy and dairy. So an elimination diet is for seven days. You cut out one of those completely. So let’s just pick dairy. You just cut out ice cream, yogurt, cheese, milk out of your diet 100% for seven days.
And you want to know, are my symptoms of pain, discomfort in my body? My undiagnosed diagnosis? Could milk be a cause? Cut it out for seven days, then reintroduce it on day eight. You will know immediately if dairy is creating problems. If it doesn’t eat it, continue eating it. And now pick a different food to eliminate. Eliminate corn from your diet, soy from your diet, wheat from your diet. That’s the elimination diet. Understanding what foods are causing inflammation and unwanted health issues is extremely important, which is why I recommended the food allergy test at Energetic Health Institute.
Here’s that slide again. It was just in the wrong place. Duplicated previously. We’ll make sure it’s deleted at the Resources tab of the doctor Show. Number five ways to reduce risk of autoimmunity Use activated charcoal or bentonite clay. I love bentonite clay. I’ve used it for over 25 years as a dad, parent of children and myself. If you consume anything food poisoning wise that your body is sensitive to if you’ve got stung by an insect, horse, hornets, scorpions, doesn’t matter. You should take 1 to 2 grams of activated charcoal or bentonite, clay and water. These substances will bind with the inflammatory agents and help neutralize it.
This can be life saving. I could attest to this if you have severe food intolerances and can be a great performance aid if you had mild sensitivities. Key benefits of activated charcoal Bentonite clay detoxes the gut, absorbs toxins, supports relief of gas and bloating made from pure coconut shells. Ultra fine grain for maximum absorptions removes heavy metals the only one of its kind on the market now another chiropractor named Dr. X more than a Diagnosis using Integrative Approaches for Living with Chronic Illnesses. Now this is his website so I want to highlight some statements here that I really enjoyed.
As I sat among my peers during a college study group, I secretly tucked my hand inside my zippered UC Davis sweatshirt and gently massaged my stomach ache. Throughout college I was a straight A student. I enjoyed school. My studies not only made me feel purposeful and accomplished, but they distracted me from my uncomfortable body sensations. When my mind was busy memorizing and critically thinking, I disconnected from my chronic pains in my stomach and traumatic home life and found a way to survive living with myself inside my body. School was a distraction. However, my escapes from the stress gurgles, gas bloating, painful memories and stinging bowel movements were short lived.
Reoccurring worries swarmed my mind constantly. As soon as my distraction ceased, I went right back to asking quote, what is wrong with me? Am I going to die? Why can’t my doctors help me? My college years were full of health crisis and doctors visits. By the time I was 20, I had seen specials for each of my body parts. Worse yet, every expert labeled me with a harmful diagnosis that negatively shaped my self worth and identity. When medical experts finally found a diagnostic category, they felt autoimmune disease best describe my symptoms. I felt vindicated. Finally, I released myself from the crazy category and joined the thousands of people online around the world with gut based disorders and in my case specifically Crohn’s disease.
Now I believe I did not have to exhaust myself by exploring solutions from within my entire body. Instead, I had one body part, the GI tract, to focus my attention and guide my treatment. Looking back, I did not realize that this one dimensional view of my body would cause me many problems when he just looked at his gut. Along with the way to healing, it took me many Years of painful trial and errors before I felt confident enough to understand and embrace holistic approaches to autoimmunity and Crohn’s disease. My old belief systems were deeply ingrained and reinforced by my family, community and mainstream society.
Amen. All of you undiagnosed looking for a diagnosis. You are conditioned by your family, community, mainstream society to seek a diagnosis and don’t stop until you get one. I should believe everything my doctors told me is what where he lived. Today, I’m on the road to true healing. I feel stronger every day of my life. Today I clearly recognize the biggest mistake that contributed to my downward health spiral. Quote, believing my doctors were better experts on my body than myself. All of you who are undiagnosed looking for a diagnosis, you forever, including in this moment watching the show, know more about yourself than any medical doctor will ever know about you, ever, ever, ever.
They do not know more about you than you do ever. This example here in this story. When I surrendered my body and my mind to medical institutions and statistics, I also embraced my physicians prophecies of doom. I accepted that my mysterious symptoms were incurable. In fact, all of you out there who are undiagnosed, I don’t care what you think you might have, go look up that diagnosis and look and see if it’s curable. Just look it up. Even without you having that diagnosis, I’m not really sure what the diagnosable incurable disease is, how that benefits you.
I believe my body hated me so badly that it intentionally produced symptoms in order to keep me from experiencing prime moments in my life. I got lost in negative thoughts as I obsessed over the potentially terrible things I must have done to deserve the misery of emergency room visits, antibiotic overload, medical debt and painful exploratory procedures. I lived feeling like a victim, entertaining the self, depreciating, questioning. Why me? 20 years have passed since I sat in the library worrying and massaging my abdomen. However, just like me, many college students suffer from chronic illnesses. Studies show chronic illnesses on the rise and disproportionately plaguing millennials born between 1981 and 1996.
Not only does this group have more stress, but they also have more autoimmune disorders and mental health conditions than prior generations. Amazing. Today this individual writes, even though I still live with Crohn’s disease, I feel entirely different about chronic illness. First and foremost, I have a plan for my healing. Second, I have hope. Finally, I feel empowered over illness because I know I’m not at the mercy of my body’s supposed diabolical plan or. Or my physician’s ultimatums. Your physician is not God. In fact, the situation is quite the opposite. Ultimately, I will encourage you to become an expert on your own body and to embrace integrative approaches for healing.
Once you accept your unique body and history, then you can develop an individualized treatment plan. I will not encourage you to take another pill or disconnect your mind from your body as I did in the library 20 years ago. Once you open your mind to the possibility that some of your beliefs about health are harmful, then you open your mind to the possibilities that lie ahead for your healing. I encourage you to rid yourself of the 10 following messages for all of you who have been undiagnosed diagnoses. 1. Your disease is incurable. Let that go. Number 2.
Your disease will get progressively worse over your lifespan. You gotta let that go. Number three. It isn’t a matter of if you will have surgery to move part of all your organs. It is a matter of when. Let that go. Your organs are there for a reason and they can heal. Number four. Let go of. The only answer is immunosuppressant drugs and pharmaceutical drugs. Gotta let that go. Number five. Eat whatever you want. Diet doesn’t matter if you have a. If you have symptoms in your life, it does matter what you eat. Number six. Let it go.
Trust your doctor, since they are the experts and know more than you. No, they don’t. No one knows more about you than you do. Except for God. And God is not wearing a white coat with a stethoscope around his neck. Number seven. Never challenge conventional medicine. Always challenge conventional medicine. After all, studies and statistics are the complete truth. That’s why we’re here at the Dr. Auto Show. Number eight. Follow the work. Follow what works for other people. Because these methods will work for you. No. Everybody’s different. Do not follow everybody else. Remember the old phrase, if your friends jumped off a bridge, would you? Number nine.
Disease is merely physical. Nope. Treat the symptom and you will feel better. Nope. Never works. Number 10. Your symptoms are all in your head. You are hysterical or crazy. Let that go. You really are suffering from something very physical, emotional or spiritual. I learned a new way of living, thinking, breathing and accepting that applies to all health problems and wellness in general. Healing for me, has incorporated a shift in my perspective and a willingness to listen to what my body needs and has been asking me to give it for a long time now. For perspective. Reading that article on Dr.
Axe when he says, I still live with Crohn’s disease. I was like, oh my God, I’ve got to throw in this research article from Cornell. Whoever supplied that article to Dr. X, I hope you watch this because you don’t have to live with Crohn’s disease forever. This is Cornell Chronicle Common parasite uncovers the key cause of Crohn’s disease. Similar symptoms arise to Crohn’s disease when some host first face the prevalent protozoan Toxoplasma gondii, the most prevalent parasite in America. Per the CDC.gov’s parasite article on their website reads. Protozoa parasites affect 90 million Americans and we get it from our tap water.
All you people with Crohn’s, including the person that wrote that article on Dr. X, you, you have protozoa parasites. And Cornell published the same symptoms as Crohn’s come from host of these parasites called protozoa. Quote. We noticed that the initial intestinal inflammation these parasites can cause looks very similar to what happens during Crohn’s disease. You’re welcome. All you gotta do is get rid of the parasites. Crohn’s disease will disappear. Dr. Dinkers writes, Our lab has started using toxoplasma to model Crohn’s disease in humans and helps us find the pivotal perpetrator which has turned out to be a cell from our own immune forces fighting the parasites.
Quote. For the first time, we’ve discovered how infection can turn these immune cells disease causing called pathogenic, stimulating them to cause disease, inflammation and death in the small intestine. You know, they say in Crohn’s parts of your intestines will die. You got to cut out sections of it. No, no, no, no, no. Just kill the parasites. All of it stops. Dinkers writes this marks a major leap toward understanding human Crohn’s disease. Unveiling the kind of immunological interplay may lead to improved prevention and care in a in an array of autoimmune diseases. I am Dr. Bryan Ardis.
