Hey, it’s Dan. Welcome back. You’re watching I allegedly, and I’ve got a good one for you today because now you can’t pay our bills with a check. Can’t pay with a check. So please don’t forget to like the video. Please don’t forget to subscribe to the channel today. We have a sponsor, Patriot Gold, which I will talk about a little bit later. But let’s get right into it.

First things first. I got sent this to me and it was a story about California and Idaho. And then it was a story sent to me about Illinois had this problem. Now it’s Florida has this problem. And that is that mail is getting intercepted. And I had something happen about two weeks ago where I paid a bill, mailed the check. Then I realized the check didn’t clear and it was for the power company.

Didn’t think much about it. And I called the power company. Hey, did you guys get that check? You know, I mailed it on this date and for this amount, overpaid, blah, blah, blah. You know, so you know what you should do? You should close your bank account immediately. And I’m like, what? What are you talking about? I said, no, no, no, the check wasn’t stolen. Just. Did you receive it? Well, don’t think it was lost, sir, because we.

What’s probably happened is somebody took the check. Do you have, you know, so I’m looking at the way I wrote the check because I always take up every square inch of the check and made it so that somebody couldn’t change the figure. But what they do is a thing called check washing. And what they do is they take an existing check and they intercept it going to the power company.

And let’s say it’s for $250. Like this one was, they take it and they change the, you know, the, the pay to person pay to the order of. They change it to John Smith and he takes it to a check cashing place. Now the problem with this is that, yeah, it’s awful, okay? And yeah, it’s a felony. And all this stuff that these people do, but they don’t care about this right now.

And they also steal the bank account information. And then they do direct debits from the account. And that’s the one thing that you have to look at because male theft is on the rise like we’ve never seen in decades. And again, as things get worse right now in the economy, the scams get bigger and bigger and bigger and they happen more and more. And people are just blown away by this.

But when was the last time you went online and checked your bank account, looked at everything for the last 60 days? Do it. Check it. Because what these people do that’s bad is they go through your account, they do a little tiny charge, $5, $12, $16, something like that. So they can see if, okay, the account’s active. And then they start hitting it. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.

And you always hear these people wake up and it’s $3,200 later that this money is gone. Now, so many people were stealing mail that was coming to the houses. Now they’re stealing outgoing mail. So every letter carrier, have your outgoing mail, drop it off someplace, try not to leave it out for the postman because that’s what these people are looking for. And, you know, don’t leave it in a public place.

So when you look at these post office boxes, that’s the other thing is thieves set up in one state in Illinois, they set up fake post office boxes for people to drop their mail off and just, oh, thank you. Okay. People paying bills, people even, you know, you know, gift cards, things like that, that they’re sending out as gifts and they never make it because the thieves run the post office box.

So it’s awful, absolutely awful. But check washing is a huge crime. Read the stories below and check it out. Now, here’s the thing. They’re also trying to scare us in this. Oh, you can’t have a checking account. You’ve got to pay everything digitally. Don’t write checks wrong, guys. Okay, I’m going to come by and pick up my check. Okay? You’re going to pay me today, Doug. I’m going to get my money today.

Do you understand? Oh, good. Have a check ready for me. Okay. So, you know, oh, well, you want to do a digital payment? Okay. We’ll get it in a few days. Sure thing. Pass, guys, pass. So the most wild thing that was sent to me in regards to all of this was Charles. Charles is a gold broker and gold dealer and sells coins and collectibles and things like that.

And what he’s had happen lately is he’s had gold packages, you know, that he’s ordered from Maine suppliers where he’s buying lots of gold to then resell. Okay? Isn’t that cool? He just had a shipment. You know, he’s had smaller shipments, but he had a big one coming in, which this leads me to believe that somebody knew that Charles was going to have a huge shipment, had $40,000 worth of gold being shipped to him via ups and because of the previous crimes and because of the previous thefts that he’d had, where people intercept this, and then he has to file an insurance claim.

And again, they know what the boxes look like. And you can say, well, wouldn’t you ship gold or something like that in a nondescript brown box or white box? Yes. That’s how they do it. It doesn’t say, you know, hey, Dan, here’s your gold. You know, they don’t advertise on the outside of that. None of the companies do that. And they all have secure shipping. They’re supposed to.

Okay, Patriot has secured shipping because I’ve had them ship me stuff before, and there’s no nonsense in it. You know when it’s coming. You get text messages, everything. Well, with Ups and regular shipping, this guy Charles got ripped off more than once. Okay, so flash forward to this big shipment of $40,000 worth of gold. And Ups contacts him. The UpS driver shows up with regular packages and says, listen, the big shipments being held at the distribution center, you need to drive over there and get it.

Okay? So they drive over there and they say, well, the Uber driver just picked it up. What are you talking about? Yeah, a man wanted to know when the gold was going to be here. He had a, you know, a chinese accent, and he picked up the gold via Uber. Now think about this. They gave a guy $40,000 worth of gold via Uber, okay? Shows up in an Uber and picked up the gold and then had the uber wait for him.

And then, well, where’d the uber go? And, you know, so isn’t that crazy? So we’re trying to see if it’s an inside job or not to work on the insurance claim or not paying the insurance claim. And Charles gets to deal with that. But the problem with this, guys, is this is how bad it’s gotten. They’re stealing mail and letter carriers. If you look at the comments, every time I talk about postal workers, postal worker safety, crime, the fact that they, you know, postal workers around the country, they did something really crappy to these people where they said, hey, we’re adding you have two more days a month.

You have to work. Every other Saturday is now part of your salary. What do you mean every other Saturday? My kids in baseball. No, no, no. You’re gonna work. And some of these people work in the office, and now they’re delivering mail on every other Saturday. So no more pay, not no more overtime, nothing like that. It’s part of your salary that you get. So as I was driving to shoot this video.

I was just telling a friend of mine about this and how ridiculous this is. California wants to pass a new law where you hire anybody. Think about this. Anybody to work for you, whether you’re a barista or you’re in the corporate environment, you have to define the job requirements and what’s expected of the person and what the job hours and what is work hours for you. Now if you’re an hourly employee and you get hired for 3 hours here, 4 hours there, you still have to define this because if an employer or a boss contacts an employee on off hours for any reason, the employee can file a violation with the state and the company can be fined and it could be money in the pocket for the employee.

Isn’t that ridiculous, guys? Now again, you know, everybody violates everything. You have bad people that go out of their way and they know call employees at 1030 at night and do things like that. You know, of course that needs to stop, but I’m telling you, you know, Charles gets his gold stolen. Hey dude, where is the UPS manifest for that one shipment? Can you get that to me because I’m missing $40,000.

I’m sorry, Charles, you’re in violation of California law and I’m going to file a grievance with the state and make sure you get fined for this. It gets kind of ridiculous. Okay, so let me know what you think about this so far and share your thoughts on that. Let’s talk about our sponsor, Patriot Gold group. Now we’re getting warnings from Blackrock, we’re getting warnings from JP Morgan, and now Morgan Stanley saying that the debt problem in the United States is very serious.

From consumer affairs, contact Patriot Gold today. Do it now before it’s too late. Now here are some disturbing numbers that you have to look at, and that is routinely we see job numbers, inflation numbers, manufacturing numbers that get revised. And lately they’ve never been revised upward. They’ve been revised downward. And I get people that write me and say this is the best economy ever, Dan, everything is good.

You’re crazy to think that it’s not. Okay. Okay. So we just got a new revision. Manufacturing, where the factories are off now, guys, understand this factory orders, factory, factory production is off. The electricity and the energy and the gas that’s used for these manufacturing facilities that are doing great is at an all time low for the last two decades, guys. So this manufacturing number, this extravaganza that you guys think is so great is off quite a bit.

Also, speaking of different numbers, how about this one? They say that the ultimate number to retire, remember it used to be a million dollars. Then they said, wait, it’s $1. 1 million now the number is $1. 46 million, that you need to have to be considered comfortable in your retirement right now. So what do you think about that? Do you think that that’s realistic? I think it all gets down to, you know, I’ve had this conversation with myself, with friends about me, about themselves, about their family members.

What does it take to live? What do you do? What do you spend money on? Do you spend $20,000 a month to live your life? Well, no, you’re not going to be able to live on a million dollars. You’re going to walk through it in a few years. It’s going to be quick. So the idea with it is to not spend a lot of money, to not need a lot of money right now.

And that’s, that’s the difficult thing that people just don’t want to deal with right now. People don’t want to sit there and live a conservative life. So, you know, all these different numbers, all these different, you know, figures that come out that get revised. And when you sit there and you look at manufacturing numbers for the last twelve quarters, quarters and nine of the last twelve quarters have been revised down.

Hello. You know, when you look at the last year alone and you have ten of the last twelve months were revised down as far as the employment numbers, who’s to believe this stuff? Because I don’t believe it right now. I don’t believe any of this stuff right now, that things are good. I look at people and what they’re doing and how they’re hiring people. And as far as the artificial intelligence, you know, that last video I did with the, with the restaurant, you’re going to see AI take over in such a big, big way in every industry right now that it can change.

And what I mean by that is you’re going to see it in reporting, you’re going to see it with news, you’re going to see it with production of, you know, how much product you need and having, you know, hey, how much inventory do you need as far as hamburgers? With what you sell, it’s going to be down to the last burger. You’re going to know exactly what you need because nothing’s worse than wasting food and buying something that is not going to be sold.

And you’re going to see more and more businesses that are going to rely on this moving forward. So, you know, share your thoughts on that stuff right now. But have you seen these numbers? They’re always getting revised down. You know, I’m sick of how the rules apply to other people and not to us. You know, Facebook just got slammed because they were sharing private messages with, of all people, Netflix.

And now there’s a lawsuit about this, about how they were doing things that would make it so that they could go out and, you know, you know, recommend certain videos, recommend certain movies, things like that based on your private messages. How twisted is that? Guys talking about having no privacy. I’m telling you guys, I don’t have the Facebook app for a thousand reasons. And I use the browser when I use Facebook, and the business uses it that way.

But they know everything. You know, you want to play a game, sit there in front of your computer and say, hey, honey, do you have any new work boots? What do you think the prices are about? Work boots? Think we can get a good deal on work boots? Do something. Snowmobiles do anything. Watch what happens on your Facebook and your Facebook marketplace, because you’ll see, you know, snowmobiles pop up in springtime, you’ll see work boots pop up.

And it’s just they’re listening to everything. But now there’s a lawsuit that says they’re sharing that stuff. Crazy is that guys? So there’s no privacy at all. Space junk from the International Space Station crashed through a house in Florida, and it looks like it nailed this house pretty well. So, you know, we keep getting the SpaceX launches here in southern California at night. They’re pretty cool to watch.

I mean, you see, they do it right at dusk and you get the sunset in the west coast and it just blazes across the sky and you can see. See the different stages drop off. It’s pretty cool. But it’s wild, guys, that we’re starting to see all this stuff happen more and more, you know, I don’t think there’s accidents like this. Okay, that’s just me. But let me know what you think about this.

And Forbes just did its big list of all the billionaires around the country, and there’s over 400 billionaires from China. How’d they make all their money in a communist world? Seriously, tell me. I’m really curious about that. Okay, so there’s that. And then, of course, you got Taylor Swift in the list now and other people. And it’s so funny because Elon Musk is on top of the list by literally Hun, you know, just, you know, millions of dollars over Jeff Bezos.

Who? Jeff Bezos sold stocks so that he could be number one, but he’s number two. Right now, Jeff Bezos is number two. Okay, let me know what you think. The frogs are out. I’m gonna finish this video with these last few stories. And I’m sick of tipping. So many of you are sick of tipping. It’s ridiculous that you tip, you know, at the dry cleaners now. Hey. No.

Okay, well, Ishmael Karabas is a professor at Murray State. There’s a great story below about how he talked about how tipping, it’s gotten out of hand. And the point of sale companies like PayPal and Stripe and things like that square, they’ve seen just a rise since the pandemic. And that’s the guilt that people are doing and how we don’t make much money in. Please tip. And you tip more with a credit card than you do with cash.

It’s that simple, guys. So check that out, because we all feel the same way about that. So the next thing is you’re starting to see real problems when it comes to interest rates because the banks are in trouble. The likelihood that interest rates are going to go down is a joke. And if it goes down once, is that going to do anything to mortgages? It’s not. Now, there’s a great story below that was sent to me about how, why don’t we do mortgages like they do in Holland? And the Dutch have a great program where you have a higher interest rate when you first get your loan.

The longer you pay on it, the interest rate goes down, goes down, goes down. So people are like, huh, that’s interesting. We just had another food delivery company go out of business ASAP. Now, what’s interesting about this is it’s owned by a man named Tillman Fertitta, who owns all these different restaurants. And he put a bunch of money into this thing. And it had 500 cities in 22 states that ASAP did business in.

And I had never heard of it until it went out of business. So clearly they’re not in my state and I don’t use food delivery services. Final, final story. And this is something that is a great way to gauge the economy. And it is rv sales. And right now you’re seeing rv sales go down, seeing them sit on the lot longer than you did before. Read the story below.

But what you’re seeing is that during the health crisis, rv sales picked up and including. You know, it’s funny. My girlfriend bought a, a travel van that she bought at the end of 2019. And I’m like, who? I’m never going camping in this thing. But we had that thing where we go to restaurants. It was great that she had that during that time because we could use it.

But now, okay, what do you need it for? You know what I mean? That’s what people are seeing, that they’ve bought these rvs and these vans and things like that and they just don’t use them and now they can’t sell them. That’s the worst part. So please don’t forget to hit the like button. Subscribe to the channel, join the email list and share your thoughts on everything. Guys, onward and upward.

I will see you guys very soon. And again, will you still mail checks? Okay, read these stories below because it is getting crazier now. Also, look at the comments, too, because you’re going to have letter carriers and postal workers that are going to say how bad it is and how bad the crime is completely out of control. So let me know what you think and I’ll see you guys real soon.
