Summary

➡ The House of Representatives has passed the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act, which aims to protect the gun rights of veterans. Previously, if a veteran needed help managing finances, they could be reported to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, potentially barring them from owning firearms. This new bill prevents this from happening without a judicial order stating the individual is a danger to themselves or others. The legislation also corrects past wrongs by requiring the VA to notify the attorney general that previous transmissions of information involving veterans assigned fiduciaries no longer have a valid basis.
➡ This text urges people to support the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act by contacting their senators. It emphasizes the importance of constitutional rights, particularly the Second Amendment, and warns against their gradual erosion by bureaucratic decisions. The author encourages viewers to share the video, subscribe to the channel, and stay informed to protect their rights and freedoms.

What’s going on everybody? Jared here and today we got some massive news out of Washington DC that every gun owner in America, especially our veterans, needs to hear about. Because after years and years of fighting, after years and years of veterans being treated like second-class citizens, after years and years of bureaucrats inside the federal government stripping constitutional rights away without due process, the House of Representatives yesterday afternoon has officially passed the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act. And folks, it’s huge. Now listen carefully because this battle is not over yet. This is where we come in.

We as Americans. The bill passed the House yesterday, Thursday, May 21st, 2026, and it now heads to the United States Senate. That means every single one of you watching needs to start calling our senators immediately and tell them to support this bill. Don’t care if you are a veteran or you have a veteran in your family. We need to support them. 202-224-3121. It’s a switchboard for the Capitol. Ask for your senator. They’ll transfer you right to the office. This is one of those moments in American history where gun owners cannot sit back and assume someone else is going to handle it.

The anti-gun lobby is already mobilizing. They’re already calling this a crazy bill, you know, the wild wild west, and the bureaucrats who believe that rights come from government permission are already preparing their talking points. So today I’m going to break down exactly what this bill does, why it matters, how veterans have been getting railroaded for years, and why this legislation is fundamentally about restoring due process and defending the Constitution itself. Before I dive in, if you’re new here, this channel is your home for Second Amendment news, constitutional education, and the truth that the mainstream media refuses to tell you about.

So if you appreciate real reporting from a pro-Constitution perspective, subscribe to Guns N’ Gadgets, hit the notification bell, and join this fight for freedom. I also want to thank today’s sponsor, Blackout Coffee. Folks, liberty is not defended by people who are asleep at the wheel. It’s defended by Americans who are awake, alert, and ready to stand up when their rights are on the line, like this story today. That’s why I am proud to support Blackout Coffee. Our coffee is for people who love this country, they believe in hard work, and they refuse to apologize for being patriotic.

Whether you are starting your own morning, you’re heading to work, or you’re sitting down to study the Constitution like we do here in this channel, Blackout Coffee gives you the fuel to stay sharp. And the best part is, is when you support Blackout Coffee, you are supporting a company that shares the values of freedom-loving Americans. Go to blackoutcoffee.com slash gng and save 20% during our Memorial Day sale, sitewide. Get your coffee from a company that actually respects our values, and let’s get into this one. For years, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the VA, has operated under a policy that shocked many Americans once they actually learned about it.

If a veteran needed help managing finances, maybe because of PTSD, or traumatic brain injuries, or age-related decline, or even just difficulty handling paperwork and bills, the VA could assign that veteran a fiduciary. And I’ve been covering this for years since Obama started this crap. Now here’s where things got dangerous. The VA then often treated that fiduciary determination as grounds to report that veteran to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, the NICS database. And what that meant was that many veterans suddenly found themselves prohibited from purchasing or possessing firearms. Not because they committed a crime.

No. Not because they were violent. No. Not because a judge ruled that they were dangerous. No. But because some federal bureaucrat clown made an administrative determination. And that is exactly the type of thing that our founders warned us about. This bill directly addresses that abuse. The legislation specifically states that the Secretary of the Veterans Affairs area may not transmit personally identifiable information to the Department of Justice for use in the NICS system solely because the beneficiary had been assigned a fiduciary. Now solely because they have a fiduciary. That’s the key part. The bill further states that such action cannot happen without an order or finding from a judge, a magistrate, or another judicial authority determining that the individual is actually a danger to themselves or others.

And that right there is key. Due process. Imagine that. An actual finding, a judicial finding, a constitutional standard, not a bureaucratic clown sitting behind a desk deciding whether somebody loses a constitutional right. And folks, this should not even be controversial. Imagine applying this logic to any other constitutional right. Imagine if the government said, well, this person needs help balancing a checkbook. So we’re going to suspend their first amendment rights. They can’t talk. Imagine if the federal agency said, we think this person needs financial assistance. Therefore, they can no longer attend a church. Americans would lose their freaking minds.

But for some reason, when it comes to the second amendment, too many people in Washington think that constitutional protections become optional. And that is exactly why this bill matters. And there’s another major piece in this legislation that’s getting less attention. But it’s equally important. The bill also requires the VA to notify the attorney general that previous transmissions of information involving veterans assigned fiduciaries no longer have a valid basis. That means this legislation is not just about future protections. It’s also about correcting past wrongs. And think about how many veterans may have quietly lost their rights over the years.

Men and women who served this nation, people who raised their hand and swore an oath to defend the Constitution, something that many bureaucrats couldn’t do or refuse to do, people who deployed overseas, people who sacrificed physically and mentally for our country. And then when they come home and they need a little bit of help from the VA, the federal government turned around and treated them like prohibited persons. That is an unacceptable thing in my book. And I want to make something crystal clear here because the anti-gun crowd always tries to twist this conversation.

The bill does not say that dangerous individuals should have unrestricted access to firearms. That’s not what this is at all. What this bill says is that the constitutional rights cannot be stripped away without due process. And there’s a massive difference between a judicial determination of dangerousness and an administrative benefit decision. That’s a massive difference. And our constitutional system depends on understanding that distinction. The Founders designed a government of checks and balances specifically because they feared concentrated power. They feared bureaucratic overreach. They feared unelected officials, clowns, making arbitrary decisions about individual liberty. That’s literally one of the foundational principles behind the American Revolution.

And this issue ties directly to the broader war over the Second Amendment that we’ve all been watching unfold for years. Because increasingly, anti-gun politicians and agencies have tried to create workarounds around constitutional protections. You know, if they can’t pass an outright ban, then they’ll use some regulatory agency to do it. And if they can’t get legislation through Congress, well, then they try to weaponize definitions and administrative rulings. If they can’t win in an open debate, well, then they attempt to quietly manipulate systems behind the scenes. And that’s why the fight matters far beyond veterans alone.

Because once government establishes the precedent that a constitutional right can disappear based on an administrative determination instead of judicial due process, every single American should be alarmed. Every single one. Now, let’s look at another critical section of this bill. The legislation explicitly says that the VA determination of mental incompetence is not sufficient by itself to treat someone as a mental defective for firearm prohibition purposes. And that is huge because for years, critics have argued that the VA system effectively created a pipeline where veterans could lose rights without ever stepping foot in a courtroom.

And let me say this directly to our veterans watching right now. Needing help does not make you less American. Seeking assistance does not erase your constitutional rights. Getting support from the VA, something that you’ve earned, should not mean surrendering freedoms that you fought to defend. And that’s common sense. I know my audience thanks you for your sacrifice to our country. And that’s why we’re fighting this fight. And unfortunately, common sense in Washington is often in very short supply. Now, some opponents of this legislation are already claiming that this bill somehow endangers public safety.

You know, public safety, something that doesn’t matter really. Our rights, it doesn’t matter what public safety issues they have, if they’re afraid, doesn’t matter. But here’s the reality. The bill still allows judicial authorities to make determinations where appropriate. And if someone is truly dangerous, there are legal mechanisms for courts to address that. The issue here is whether unelected agencies should have unilateral power to erase constitutional rights without due process. And the answer should be absolutely not. Especially when we are talking about our veterans. Now, politically, this is going to get very interesting here in the Senate, because this bill puts senators on the record.

Do they support due process for veterans? Do they support constitutional protections? Or do they support allowing federal agencies to continue operating as de facto rights stripping machines? And that’s why our calls matter right now. 202-224-3121. Not next month, not after the media cycle moves on, right now. Flood Senate offices. Be respectful, but firm. Tell them you support the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act. Tell them veterans deserve due process. Tell them constitutional rights are not privileges handed out by bureaucrats. Because folks, pressure absolutely works. We’ve seen it before. When gun owners organize, they engage and refuse to stay silent.

The politicians notice. And understand this as well. The anti-Second Amendment side absolutely understands the power of pressure campaigns. And that’s why they constantly mobilize their activists. The only way that we counter what is being done is by being louder, by being more engaged and more relentless in defending liberty. And I also think this moment reveals something deeper about America right now. We’re witnessing a broader debate over whether constitutional rights are permanent protections or conditional permissions. And that’s really what this comes down to. The Second Amendment says, shall not be infringed. It does not say unless a federal agency decides otherwise.

It doesn’t say unless bureaucrats feel uncomfortable. And it certainly doesn’t say unless a veteran needs assistance managing benefits. The Constitution exists specifically to restrain government power, not to empower it. And that distinction is big. And it matters now more than ever. So here’s what I need you to do after this video ends. Call your senators. You got two of them. Email your senators. Two of them. Share this video everywhere. Get the word out. Because this bill now moves to the Senate and the pressure campaign needs to begin immediately. Veterans fought for this country.

The least that this country can do is respect their constitutional rights. And as always remember this, rights are rarely lost all at once. They’re chipped away piece by piece, compromise by compromise, bureaucratic decision by bureaucratic decision. And that’s why eternal vigilance matters. Until my last breath, I will be telling you what these clowns will try to do to us. And that’s why informed Americans matter. That’s why channels like this exist. If you appreciate what I do here on the channel, I ask you please to subscribe to the channel. Hit the bell and help get this spread.

Spread the truth. That takes you about five seconds of your life and it helps this channel in that anti-gun algorithm. The company that hates the Second Amendment. The company that hates freedom of speech. The company that wants nothing more than to stop you from learning this information. And if you’re not seeing one to four videos a day for me every day, then come to the channel directly in your browser. Type in youtube.com slash at sign guns gadgets. Don’t go to the app. Don’t go directly to YouTube. Type it in directly because freedom survives only when Americans are willing to defend it.

Until next time, stay safe, stay free, stay armed, stay vigilant. Never stop fighting for the Constitution of the United States of America. 250 years. Our anniversary is upon us. We need to answer the call. Take care, y’all. [tr:trw].
