Ever Heard Of “Keyword Warrants”?
Most people have not. But you have probably heard the term ‘pre crime’ from the movie Minority Report.
Well, these “keyword warrants” seem to be one step closer to that.
According to Forbes.com
“The U.S. government is secretly ordering Google to provide data on anyone typing in certain search terms, an accidentally unsealed court document shows. There are fears such “keyword warrants” threaten to implicate innocent Web users in serious crimes and are more common than previously thought.”
Also, according to NYPost.com,
“Three more keyword warrants came to light that were used in the investigation into the 2018 Austin bombings.
The warrants appear to be very broad, ordering Google, Microsoft and Yahoo search engines to provide information on users who searched various addresses and terms related to bombs, including “low explosives” and “pipe bomb.”
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, cybersecurity and privacy are more important now than ever.
You may want to research and figure out the best ways to protect yourself from being identified in these “keyword warrants”.
By the way, this is yet another reason why we need honest elections in the United States.
With rigged elections (that have been likely happening the last several decades), that leads to the type of government and corporate corruption we are seeing today.
