Hello, everybody. Economic ninja here. Hope you’re doing well. New York has just experienced an earthquake and I want to bring you this story as soon as it came out. So we’re diving right into the USGS map. A 4. 8 magnitude earthquake has struck New York, New Jersey area. And it’s a very shallow earthquake, only sitting around 4. 7 km under the earth’s crust. We are getting news stories all over the place.

So far it’s such new news, we don’t see any reports. Widespread damage, it says. Again, a 4. 7 earthquake magnitude earthquake was felt throughout New York City and surrounding suburbs and New Jersey. It’s interesting that an earthquake this size hitting New York coming right before this solar eclipse, says New York governor Kathy Huchel in a tweet. Said, my team is assessing impacts and any damage that may have occurred and we will update the public throughout the day.

It says everyone at NYSE just gave each other a big look. CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla tweeted from the New York Stock Exchange. So obviously they’re not seeing a lot of damage there. He would have seen it because he was on the floor of the stock exchange at the time. The epicenter of the quake was detected about 4. 5 miles north northeast of White House station, New Jersey, according to the US Geological Survey.

This is brand new happening right now. You could see that Twitter is just showing up with a bunch of memes and people hashtagging it right now. So obviously we’re not seeing damage. But I have to say this is very rare to see an earthquake of this size in New York City. Very odd, very rare. But I wanted to bring you this news, and I’ve got to say to anybody watching this breaking news story right now, I think what’s really worse is the video that I just did on the bird flu where scientists are now calling it having an impact 100 times worse than COVID.

I think people need to wake up to what’s going on with the bird flu and the next narrative that might be pushed on us, which I believe is going to be taking away backyard chickens and raising animals herself, I think that’s going to be a big story.
