I’d ended earlier, so I thought, okay, I’m gonna go, and I have a friend that’s traveling out of the country, and she asked me, do you think you could go exchange some money for me and get me some different cash in euros and in pounds, and I said, sure, no problem. So, I went over to the exchange place at South Coast Plaza, and it’s closed. Done. Finished. So, you have to look online to find that. Now, Victoria’s Secret is open, the sunglot hut is still open, but man, oh man, oh man, I’m telling you, you want a place to be alone, you come to Main Place Mall.

So, it’s just tragic, guys. It’s absolutely tragic, because this was one of the most bustling malls at one point, 20 years ago. It’s been dead for 10, easily, and you’ve got tons of stores that are closed. You’ve got, it’s funny, down the way, behind me there’s dark cords where stores used to be located. So, it’s just nuts. Absolutely crazy. Now, in addition to this, there is a major banking warning right now, and as we have our conflict with Iran, as it continues to not get resolved, the problem that you have is you have all these sanctions that are put on Iran right now that are going to create problems for them, and they’re not paying their bills.

There’s direction, and they’re not paying their bills right now. So, Iran gets 98% of its money from the sale of oil. That’s been basically put on hold right now as we know it, and the IRGC, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is going to bank fraud. They’re going to all these different scams that could affect us here in the United States, that they’ve gone out and warned every major bank. You have to be on the lookout for bank fraud right now. You have to be on the lookout for scams, payment scams, QR code scams.

I am telling you, the stuff that gets sent to me right now is absolute lunacy, where you’ve got people that are going out and they’re saying, hey, you parked your car in this point and you have a traffic ticket and here’s how you pay it. They use this QR code. The only problem is is that the QR code is fake, and you could be actually funding Iran right now, which is what they’re concerned about, which sounds insane, but read the story below because they’re talking about wire fraud, bank fraud, and they have soldiers that are not getting paid, and I don’t care who you are.

Work for free. See how long that lasts. See how they’re not been able to feed their family or eat or feed themselves or buy anything. It’s just most people, you know, if you’re here in the United States, you have almost 66% of the people that are literally living paycheck to paycheck and have not saved a dime. So, very, very concerned about it. Zelle fraud, and here’s the thing about this. The banks right now have little tiny warnings for each and every one of us. And that’s just, the sanctions on Iran are clearly working, but with the Strait of Hormones being basically shut down, they’re going to other methods to get paid. That’s crazy. There’s more to cover. I mean, to pay rent here, you know, you got to pay employees, you got to pay the light, they got to pay everything. It’s just terrible. That used to be Nordstrom’s right there. They ripped down the Nordstrom’s. You can see it’s gone. Nothing behind that window there. And now they’re building apartments there, which is the last thing this area needs. This is not the best neighborhood.

I don’t care what anybody tells me. It’s horrible. The apartments that were built behind this place are $3,500 a month. And there’s vacancies. Go get yourself an apartment today. You’re starting to see all these business failures that are happening left and right. The death of the mall. Why don’t they just rip the whole place down? No one’s shopping here. No one is shopping here. No, it’s just terrible. It’s very sad. I mean, you’ve got to pay somebody to work. There’s a famous restaurateur right now is talking about how if we get minimum wage to $30 an hour, it’s going to kill the country.

It’s going to be completely the death of small business. And again, there’s no starter jobs right now. Everybody wants to paid, you know, everybody wants to go from zero to 100 Applebee’s is, you know, facing a major problem because one of their largest franchisees is an N. R. P. H. That’s the name of it. N. R. P. H. Has, think about this, 50 locations and they’re going to close. We just don’t have the money and they’re never going to pull themselves out of the debt that they have with paying the employees, with the insurance, with food costs, with everything else.

Look at this guy’s middle of the day. Oh, Dan, you’re going on the off time. This place must have just opened and I’m going to hear all this nonsense from people. The point is, is that this is the death of this place, places during the day they’re just closed. You know, then they took out stores and stuck vending machines there. Can’t make this up, guys. This is the death of the mall. Topgolf. Topgolf is an entertainment company. That’s how they advertise it. That’s fun. I thought it was a driving range and, you know, with attractive girls and tight, you know, polo shirts.

Now they’re, they, I mean, this is unbelievable. They fired 300 people earlier this year. Wow, that’s a lot. Guess what? They’re firing 500 more in the concierge, in customer service, in signups and in IT. Who’s going to work there? Oh, it’ll all be digital. It’ll be, you’ll sign up online. You’ll use the app. Nobody wants to do that. For those of you that know this mall, you know, used to have pennies at the end. Now it’s Ashley furniture and it’s just nobody. You know, they got the ball pit for the kids.

They got the little crane game that kids can sign up for and, and walk around. It’s nuts. It’s nuts. There’s more kids stuff here than there is anything else. I’m just blown away. I didn’t think it was going to be this bad. I thought it was going to be bad, but not like this. It’s funny. The exchange place didn’t have any euros. We’ve got fives and tens. Yeah, that’s what somebody wants to do is travel and get a few hundred dollars for the fives and tens. Anyways, Dr. Marvin sent me a great story, which was based on, you could get a degree.

So many people have written me about their student loan debt. What do I do? I’m telling you, plead insanity, guys. Go negotiate with your lender. Tell them that you have problems. I mean, you know, my girlfriend took care of her student loan debt right before she died. I mean, you know how sick that is? Died at what? 58 years old. I mean, it’s crazy. And she finally got rid of it to become a lawyer. Great. Congratulations. The problem with this is that she paid for it for what? 20 some years.

More than that, I guess. God, it’s horrible. Dr. Marvin sent me a great story. Cornerstone University. You can become part of their SOAR program. You can get a four year degree in business management, business administration from Cornerstone for $24,000. You take it on yourself up. Okay. They have a 91% repeat rate of people that stick with the program. So you can get a bachelor’s degree for $24,000. Okay. That’s free. You want to get the master’s degree after that? That’s only another $12,000 more. Guys, that is free compared to what it would cost to send your kids someplace else.

But you know, you don’t get the college experience. You don’t get to go and hang out and go parties and get $5 pictures of beer and all that stuff. That’s fun. And you can lie to me and tell me that college is about learning, Dan. It’s not about drinking and girls. No, it is. It’s all about drinking and girls. And I have a lawyer friend of mine who’s very, very talented and very, very sharp. And she just talks about how college was the funnest time in her life. And she barely got through, you know, the university and then she went to law school and had to take it seriously.

So there’s that. Oh my gosh. You’re going to see more and more of this. The Hulkster, Hulkamania. It looks like his former accountant. And they can’t say that he’s, it’s his account, but his former accountant faces 120 years in jail for allegedly fleecing amount of $890,000. Now, Hulkamania is running wild, but here’s the thing. They’re not going to say, read the story. The story is interesting. This person had a famous client in Florida. Well, okay. Who was the other famous client that she represented? So maybe it wasn’t the Hulkster. Maybe it was somebody else.

But again, when somebody passes, you’d be surprised the stuff that people find out. You know, my friend’s mom, she would hide money in books. So she had a huge collection of in her library and they had to go through it all because you’d open it up and find $300. So you had to go through every single book that this woman had. So you find things like that. You find bank accounts that people didn’t have, that you didn’t know they had things like that happen when people pass. It’s kind of wild. I find it to be fascinating, but it’s ridiculous. But one thing I asked was how many subscriptions do you have? And that went really well. People really liked that because it made people think, oh my gosh, I have things that I didn’t know about. You know Shutterstock? It’s the final story. Shutterstock, the company that does the saving your pictures and things like that, they basically overcharged people and made it very difficult to pass, you know, to get out of the program and to cancel. And with that, they went out and they were just overcharged people month after month after month, having customer service issues.
