Dun dun dun, gas prices officially hit $6 a gallon for regular gas here in California across the state. Please like this video, subscribe to this channel and let’s get right into it. The Golden State. You know, we have refineries here and this is what’s sick. The refineries here doesn’t make a bit of difference because the gas gets shipped out of the state. We have two refineries closing, can’t compete anymore, Phillips and Valero.

They’re done. Bye! And, you know, it’s anti-competitive here, it’s unfair here, they don’t like us here, they want to have green energy, blah blah blah. Norway is getting rid of their green energy, ditching the whole plan. So, I drove up to Central California this morning to look at this. I just came up for this spot. Exactly. See the sea otters hang out here and just see the beautiful ocean. Guys, $6 a gallon is going to destroy everything. I went to the James Dean spot, his last stop that he made before he wrecked his car and they caught the last chance, last stop, in Lost Hills, California and I filmed this short.

Wow, a milestone was just hit. Gas in the entire state of California is over $6 a gallon. I’m in Lost Hills, California right now and gas is $6.69 a gallon for regular, premium over $7. How much is it where you’re at? Now, guys, $8.49 for diesel is lunacy. Absolutely insane. $6.69 a gallon for gas is nuts, guys. It’s too much. Before the Iran war started, gas was at $4.43 a gallon here. It was the highest in the country, it really was. It was too much and it’s just gone up since the Iran war started. We have been told by our leadership that gas is going to continue to go up.

You know who’s going to get affected the most though? And I found a great article about this is the Michigan area. The Great Lakes area is going to see a rise in gas prices, quote, like they’ve never seen in the history of gas. Guys, it’s getting worse and worse and worse. We just had a major trucking company, Tri-Ways. And I’m like, wow, isn’t that the company I used to use to ship things? Yes. Tri-Ways was a shipping company that went down for the count this week and filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. But they’re never going to get themselves out of this.

They can lie to us, they can lie to themselves, their investors and everybody else and talk about how they’re going to get themselves a plan. But the plan is this. You can’t afford fuel. When you have diesel at $8.49 in areas of California, it’s going to be impossible. STD trucking, STG trucking in Ohio, they filed for bankruptcy and it said the same thing. It does not make a better difference where you’re at. Don’t blame California alone and say, oh, it’s a California problem, Dan. That’s why the trucking companies are going out of business. No, they’re all going out of business right now.

This is going to affect every single thing that we purchase from the food in our grocery stores, your kids clothes, anything that you want to buy, any airline ticket, anything. It is going through the flipping roof right now. Hotel rooms, crazy. I would prepay for hotel room. If you know you’re going to travel and you’re going to go to Wisconsin, I would prepay for that hotel room right now. I wouldn’t wait, but this is going to only get worse right now and you can sit there and talk about why you need to get yourself your green energy car and you need to get an electrical car.

It’s ridiculous. A friend of mine who got rid of her, Tesla, told me, isn’t it funny that I had the Tesla and now that I get a gas cut, I buy the hybrid, gas prices go through the roof. Yes, it’s not funny, but it’s just the facts of everything. So you’re seeing this more and more and more right now, but how is it affecting you? What are gas prices in your area? They’re outrageous here, all the way up here. We’re just floored at what we saw on the way up there. I’m starting to see this affect every type of business that there is.

It does not make a bit of difference what you sell. Odds are, if you can stay in business, you’re lucky right now. Smokey Bones BBQ, which I’ve heard of, and Smokey Bones BBQ filed Chapter 11. People are not spending $55 for a plate of, oh, you want the second item? You don’t want the tri-tip and the ribs? Okay, it’s 55 bucks. People cannot afford this to go out to dinner and eat like this right now. It’s just happening, happening all around us. But again, beloved, fan favorite, iconic, popular. No, it’s not. It’s not popular with anybody.

You know, it’s popular with the bankruptcy court. California just launched something that I’m furious about, and that is a $10 million program to help people fix their cars. I’m like, oh my gosh, this is the greatest news I’ve ever heard in my life. You can get up to $7,500 in repairs. Well, no, it’s for EV cars only. They will help fix your EV batteries, give you $7,500 of repairs, up to $10,000 to replace your cars, and there’s a $10 million program, but it has to be an EV car. No, no, no, no, that’s not fair. What about everybody else? Well, you know, you’re just a gas guzzling scumbag, and you know, you could care less.

No, you hate America and you don’t like, you know, pasta. Come on. It gets ridiculous. It gets, it gets flipping ridiculous. You know, 141 year old beloved candy store went down for the count. No one needs candy, guys. No one sits there and needs candy. I was in Trader Joe’s yesterday, and a woman’s kid was running to the place, mommy buy me this, mommy buy me this. And I said to her, I pulled her aside, I have good news for you. My, my kids are almost 30 and they still asked me to buy them stuff. So you have that to look forward to the rest of your life.

She’s, oh, but you don’t need candy from the candy store. Oh, forget the name of it. I can tell I’m on the beach. I can’t get the name of it. Candy. Hey, you know, we’re going to open up a chocolate store right now. Oh, really? Yeah, it’s going to be a fan favorite. Domino, let’s give you some good news. Domino’s Pizza is having expansion. They’re going to make more stores, but they’re going to be for like Uber Eats and the pickup only. You’re not going to be able to walk in there and order it. It’s going to be on the phone only, and you’re going to come by and they’re going to pass it out a window.

They want to make 175 of these locations. Smaller footprint, less than a thousand square feet, 800 square feet in some of these locations that they need. It’s going to be very, very inexpensive. And, you know, there’s a new ice cream place. It’s called Tipsy Scoop. Tipsy Scoop is an ice cream place that has booze infused. Well, that sounds good. I mean, come on, you want to drink? Let’s go drink. I mean, come on, guys. It’s like I honestly, you know, what’s funny is when I was in the startup space and I saw, you know, pitch decks and what companies were trying to do, it got the questions were very simple.

What is this? What problem does this solve? Who’s it going to help? What’s the market size? Who’s going to pay for it? Will the insurance companies pay for this or not pay for this? No one living needs chocolate. No one living needs to have. Ice cream that’s booze infused. You can’t get it and go get in your car and eat it, Tubby, because you’re drinking alcohol at the same time you booze down. I get a kick out of this stuff. It’s just crazy. But with $6 a gallon gas, don’t worry. It’s going to be great. I mean, good.

Maybe it’s the greatest thing ever. Broker Aaron sent me those two stories about Domino’s and about all. About the tipsy place, tipsy scoop. I mean, come on. What are you going to do? Do you understand that everything this summer, everything you do is going to cost you more money. Now, here’s the thing. Buy things that are refundable. Buy your airline tickets that are refundable. But I would buy them now because the price looks like it’s going to go up. I would buy your hotel rooms and make it refundable. Buy insurance on different things like this. You’re going to see different companies go out of business this year that we’ve never seen before.

And I think it’s going to get worse. So you can sit there and say, come on, this is so gloom and doom of you. It’s awful. It’s ridiculous, guys. This gas thing is going to kill us. They’re not going to lower interest rates right now. Jerome Powell hates Donald Trump. That’s simple. Look what I’ll do to you. Hey, you want to give me a hard time to charge me with a crime? Investigate me. Investigate this. Investigate interest rates. Stand right where they’re supposed to. As he walks out the door. Okay. Oh, you get indict me, indict nothing.

You know what I mean? It’s a joke, guys. The whole thing is a joke. But you and I have to go and buy a head of lettuce for 10 bucks. You’ve got to buy a little block of cheese. Hey, you’d like some cheese and crackers? Yeah, let’s get that for us. Hey, I needed $30 for the cheese and crackers. That’s where you’re headed. That’s where you’re headed. This is going to get crazy. And it’s going to get much worse before it gets better. Have you noticed this? Because this is what happens. When problems escalate, like gas prices, they go up rather quickly.

They take their sweet time. Sweet Georgia, take your time, baby. I am so furious right now about a couple of things in the background. Not background here, but it’s the background of what’s going on with the economy. It’s really pissing me off. I hate the fact that there are people out there that have benefited from this tremendously. They want a trillion and a half dollars for the defense. Great. We have to defend our country. We’re $40 trillion in debt. It’s just insane, guys. It’s just lunacy. And it’s going to billions of dollars a day. It’s just nuts. Absolutely nuts. You could run your household this way. You have to be on the same page.

If you own a business and you’re lucky enough to sell things to people and they pay you, you’ve got to look at everything right now because you’re going to see credit card charges go through the roof. You know, American Express says they’re going to go up by 10%. You’re going to see MasterCard do the same thing. You’re going to see this. And you know what? People don’t have cash. They don’t write checks anymore. Encourage them to pay. Don’t let people owe you money right now. I am telling you, this is the kiss of death right now in your business because you’re going to see people.
