There’s one last question that just showed up from, it was in a, it was in a non-standard place here, but anyway, it was from someone named Ann Jensen. How can we stop schools from punishing our children for speaking their mind about religion? Our kids in Michigan are starting to be punished and being, and are called anti-Semitic for talking about Christianity. Not being disrespectful, it’s just not right. My son was suspended for a week for letting another student know he was a Christian, and the other student told the principal he was being anti-Semitic. It’s a violation. No, for heaven’s sake.

It wouldn’t have been a problem if they said that I’m a communist, atheist, but no, first of all, I would go talk to your sheriff or local police and say, hey, I’m going to go object, and I want somebody there because I’m going to go to the school board, and I want protection. Because they’ll try to shut me down, and I still hope that the First Amendment is being enforced in this county and in your jurisdiction. I’m not going to be rude, I’m not going to yell and scream, I’m not going to throw F-bombs. I just want to know if my son can be free in what he says about what he is.

You can’t stand up in the middle of a class and start giving your Sunday school lesson, but when you’re around the school and even in class, somebody asks you, who are you? I’m Jim Jensen, and I’m a Christian. There should be nothing wrong with that. Okay? Reverend Sinks, you can even say he’s a Mormon or something like that, you know? None of that, you know, I’m being facetious because I am one. But look, let everyone worship how, where, and what they may, and folks, according to the dictates of our family, of our conscience, and what we really feel.

So absolutely, please make an appointment to go to the school board and challenge them, and also make that appointment with your chief of police or someone from that office or from the sheriff’s office. Please do that. Very good idea. That’s America, that’s what we’re after, and this is Norman Rockwell America, hopefully not George Orwell America. Agreed. Very good.
