You know I gotta give y’all an update on what’s going on with the migrant crisis, but before we start to get into Tom Homan’s speech over at CPAC, have him basically saying that he’s going to give everybody hell and all these sanctuary cities hell that do not comply with the federal government, including over there in Chicago. They’re saying that one of the biggest migrant hotels in New York called the Roosevelt could quite possibly be closing. That’s crazy. Again, make sure I hit a like for the algorithm. The Roosevelt Hotel migrant intake center is closing down in a statement released this morning. The city says the center is no longer needed as the number of migrants entering the city has dropped drastically. Fox 5 New York’s Brielle Thomasetti has the story. The Roosevelt Hotel was served as both our asylum arrival center and the humanitarian emergency response and relief center for nearly two years will be closing. Mayor Adams announced the news in a nearly two minute long video released by City Hall. He says the Roosevelt Hotel will close its doors in the coming months, marking a significant milestone in the city’s migrant crisis.

The Midtown Manhattan Hotel was transformed into a migrant arrival center in May of 2023 and has since processed tens of thousands of migrants each day. But the mayor says that number has now dwindled down to the hundreds. With the city receiving an average of 4000 arrivals each week. Now, thanks to our policies, we’re down to an average of just 350 new arrivals each week. The site provided a variety of supportive services including legal assistance and medical care. For instance, migrants who wanted to connect with family or friends elsewhere were given bus tickets out of the state.

Those in need of shelter were assigned to a site and given instructions on how to apply for asylum. Our administration has skillfully managed this crisis, which has seen over 232,000 migrants into our city asking for shelter. According to City Hall, there are currently fewer than 45,000 migrants in the city’s care down from a high of 69,000 in January of 2024. More than 84% of eligible adults in the city’s care have applied for work authorization, allowing for the city to close all tent-based shelters by the end of this summer. Several other large sites housing more than 1,000 migrants will also close within that time frame.

We’re closing 53 sites within the span of a year. While City Hall refrained from saying how much it costs to keep the Roosevelt Hotel running, Adams was a major critic of the Biden administration’s migrant response and repeatedly called on the federal government for more money. Meanwhile, city attorneys filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Friday after FEMA revoked more than $80 million in migrant funding, citing concerns over illegal activities at a hotel. The only thing I care about and the only thing that I’m trying to figure out is who are the owners behind the people that has received all of the billions of dollars and was this a retirement package? I mean the staffing companies, the hotels.

How did the Roosevelt Hotel become the migrant hub and ultimately basically let their facilities be run all the way into the ground and allow for these illegal migrants to basically stay there? They changed, they switched over from being a hotel in the middle of the city into being a migrant shelter. That is crazy to me. That is absolutely wild to think that they can do that and I always want to know who’s the owners that got rich and how much money did they receive as a result of it. I just, that’s all I want to know.

That’s all I care about. And to think that Jasmine Crockett and Bernie Sanders and AOC, none of these people ever, ever, not one time, and this is how you know that they’re compromised, not one time that any of these people ever come out and say, you know what, this is wrong. Taxpayers shouldn’t be paying this. We need to make sure that we allocate our monies correctly, that we need to make sure that we right size the federal government. Never, not one time, not one time. I’ve never seen them ever in any way, shape or form, ever criticize our borders are Kamala Harris or the Biden administration or any of these liberal mayors and they absolutely 100% has always been on board with it.

They have never criticized the American taxpayer dollars going towards the things and who was being, who was getting rich as a result of this. Nobody asked who these staff and companies are. There wasn’t a bid process. Nobody asked what the incentive of the hotel owner, these luxury hotels that ultimately the migrants were staying in. Nobody cared. I documented how horrid the conditions had become inside of some of these places all last year and all the year before and nobody had no questions. None of these liberal senators, none of these liberal congressmen ever had any concern about it.

Elizabeth Warren. Y’all didn’t have no criticism of court whatsoever. Seriously? And then they want to scold you about thinking about $5,000. They’ve been getting a crazy, I mean, we spent billions and billions and billions and billions on this stuff and they didn’t have no kind of problems with sending this over to these illegal migrants. They gave them shelter, food, police services, and that ain’t even counting the costs that we can’t really account for as far as infrastructure and all of that type of stuff. Police, housing. They paid these hotel owners by the day, by the day.

And they was living better than some of y’all. They could come over here and say, you know what? I want to go to New York because I want to go to the Roosevelt. I want to go to New York because I want to go to New York. Where’s Mortimer? This is crazy, bro. Anyways, this is Tom Homan giving his thoughts on what is happening over in these sanctuary cities and how he’s going to approach it. How you doing? Look, let me start out by saying this. If I offend anybody today, I don’t give a shit.

I don’t care. The media in the back room, I’m sure I’ll be reading a lot of hip pieces on me tomorrow. I don’t give a shit what you think about me. Scuse Tom Homan’s remarks. I did not watch this prior to it. It was getting exactly how he said it over at CPAC. We’re not doing censorship. I’m not cursing. It’s Tom. Shout out to Tom. I get asked all the time, this body is a big part of this country. I hate your guts. I don’t care. I don’t care because we got a job to do.

I wake up every day for the last four years pissed off because the Dwight administration took the most secure border in my lifetime and unsecured it on purpose. I worked for six presidents starting with Ronald Reagan. Every president I ever worked for took steps to secure the border. Even Clinton Obama took steps to secure the border. If they clearly understood, you can’t have national security without border security. They got it. Joe Biden’s the first president in history of the nation who came into office and unsecured the border on purpose. So for four years, I wake up every day pissed off.

That changed November 5th. Nobody can, nobody literally, nobody still can explain to me exactly why Biden did that. But we’ll get there. Now I wake up every day excited because I work for the greatest president of my lifetime, Donald J. Trump. For four years, we had over 10.5 million illegal aliens at our border. They released nearly eight million into the country illegally. We had a 600% increase in sex trafficking of women and children. We had a record number of known suspected terrorists and people on the terrorist watch that’s crossing the border. Under Trump, we had 14 in four years.

Under Joe Biden, just shy of 400. Think about that for a moment. What Joe Biden did to our border was create the most significant public safety and national security vulnerability of this nation in history. But guess what? We got one bad-ass president now who’s going to come in and he’s going to take care of this border. Look at the numbers, last few days. I’m telling every morning I get up, I can’t wait to go to work because I know that I have a president who’s going to open up every avenue of law enforcement to this great nation.

In under four weeks, we have illegal crossings on the border down 95%. I remember when the president called me and said, I remember he called me when he brought me, this is the second time I came out of retirement for this man. So he called me, I was the first guy he called and he says, okay, this is all the phone call when I picked it up, I see POTUS on my cell phone. So I know it was Trump. He says, all right, Tom, you’ve been bitching about four years, you want to come fix it? And I didn’t hesitate.

I said, I’ll come back and I’ll do it for free. I’m so pissed off. You don’t have to pay me. You need people like Tom Homan on your team, that’s bulldogs. Now you still got to make sure you feed your dogs. You got to feed your bulldogs. Even though they said that they’ll do it for free because they enthusiastic, that just means that they’re the right person for the job. That just means that they’re the right person for the job, but you still got to feed your wolves. Otherwise, the wolves will eventually turn against you.

So we got to give them the right job. We got to make sure they take care of. You got to make sure this family protected and you got to give them the tools to get the job done. And so basically, what Trump has done was take the bulldog off the leash, which is what Biden tried to do with Kamala Harris, but they didn’t realize that she wasn’t really a bulldog. She was really just a chameleon that didn’t make no noise at all. Y’all do realize that this is the job that Kamala Harris got in 2021.

And look, in less than a month, illegal crossings down 95%. ICE has arrested over 21,000 people in the nation. Gotaways, under President Biden, the gotaway is 2.2 million people cross the border, weren’t arrested because the border was too busy making sandwiches, changing diapers, making baby formula, making hospital runs, dealing with humanitarian crisis. 2.2 million people cross the border and weren’t apprehended or fingerprinted. We had about 1,800 a day in 2023. You know what we had yesterday? 48. You’re talking about 2,000 miles of border and only 48 people escaped, but that’s 48 too many.

I’m not going to be happy if that number is zero. Now we’re getting a question. Well, you said you’re going to concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats, but you’re arresting non-criminals. Yeah, damn right we did. Because we’re in a country illegally, which happens to be a violation of our law, entering this country illegally is a crime and we’re not going to forgive it. Into sanctuary cities, game on, because Pam Bondi’s back in the place and Cash Patel is back running the FBI. President Trump brought together one hell of a team and every time I see one of these people get nominated and take their oath for office, I just get that much more excited.

I’m afraid I’m going to have a heart attack one of these days because just keep getting better. Sanctuary cities are a sanctuary for criminals. I’ve read all these stories this week. Tom Homan insulted AOC. Boy, look, it’s not an insult if it’s true. Sorry, I was muted. You see how the difference is? You see how he was a bulldog? You see how Trump tasked him when he said that he got the phone call and he said, you know what? Trump called me and he was called the President of the United States of America and he said, you’ve been crying and complaining about everything that’s been happening at the border for all of this time.

I want you to come in and handle this and he came in like a bulldog. That’s what happened. Now, let me show you the difference between when Trump came in the office because you got to remember that Trump was in office for a month. He’s been in office for a month on day one. He started tackling this. This is how Biden handled it when he came in the office on day one. Is we’ve got ourselves a secretary. I’m here, welcome. Also today, I said when we became a team and got elected that the Vice President was going to be the last person in the room.

She didn’t realize that means she gets every assignment. But the Vice President and I and all of us here have been working very hard to pass the legislation that is going to beat this virus as well as get people back to work and change their prospects. And so she’s traveled all over the country to work in that. In addition to that, there’s about five other major things she’s handling. But I’ve asked her the VP today because she’s the most qualified person to do it to lead our efforts with Mexico and the Northern Triangle and the countries that help us.

We’re going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks stemming the migration to our southern border. She was the most qualified person for the job. That’s what he said. Biden said that Kamala Harris was the most qualified person to stem the flow of people crossing our borders. I’m not going to forget this. I’m never going to forget this. I’m never going to let them live this down. I’m never going to let them not act like she was not in charge of the flow of migrants across the border.

Yet y’all still tried to elect her to be president of the United States of America. I’m never going to let y’all get 92, 93 percent. Shout out to y’all. I’m never because I want y’all to remember the reason why we found ourselves aside from the fact that I think that they sold the election the first time. The reason that we found ourselves under the rest in the first place is because we wasn’t accountable for the fact that we didn’t remember where we came from. We didn’t know how good we had it.

But then God had to remind us. And so sometimes I got to remind y’all because I know that y’all feel in some type of way. But now that we’re getting people that’s not supposed to be here out of here, I know that y’all don’t want to extend credit. You don’t want to extend credit. You don’t want to give them the credit that he deserves in Trump. Y’all don’t want to give him credit. But just remember this. Remember this right here. And back when I was vice president, I got a similar assignment.

But one of the things we did was we’re going to need help in stemming the movement of so many folks stemming the migration to our southern border. So for the people that still says, because again, he said she was the most qualified. I want to make sure because there’s people in my chest in there. No, no, no, no, no. He didn’t delegate that as a response. People still to this day on February 24, 2025 will sit here. Even though we have video evidence of a lethargic person that should have never been in office in the first place.

We have video evidence. People will still sit here and argue me down and say that that was never responsibility extended to her at all. She’s the most qualified person to do it and lead our efforts. This is what he said. He didn’t say Tom Homan, the person that is served under seven administrations. He didn’t say none of that that even served under the Obama administration. He knew Tom Homan because he was the vice president under under Obama. Biden was the vice president under Obama who was called the deporter in chief and Tom Homan was serving under that administration.

He knew who the most qualified person was and he says Kamala Harris is the most qualified person to lead the stem of flow of immigrate or illegal migrants from across this border. Y’all not gonna sit here and gaslight me. Y’all not gonna sit here and gaslight me. Not even a little bit. Somebody says, what is JD Vans doing? Well, first thing that JD Vans did was he hit the ground running over in North Carolina in order to solve for the fact that a lot of those people still hadn’t been or gotten the relief that they needed from the Biden administration even though it happened under the Biden administration.

JD Vans was the first person to then solve for that problem and solve for what was going on over in North Carolina from the people that were affected by the hurricanes. That’s the first thing that JD Vans did. Day one he was on the ground with the people in North Carolina. I’m surprised you don’t know that but y’all asking that question. I’m surprised you didn’t know that but you’re asking that question. Ain’t that crazy? Ain’t that crazy? The first thing that JD Vans did was hit the streets of North Carolina to ensure that those people had the resources that they needed in order to rebuild and get things back up and running.

The first thing that they did when he got into office. JD Vans is more visible than any vice president in the beginning of their term. He just established the norms of what we were going to do with AI and he was speaking to European leaders and he also had conversations with Europe about getting on board. Can’t please y’all. Can’t please these raging liberals and helping them to understand how we supposed to be doing things here in the United States of America but it’s okay. It’s okay.
