The only reason that you would ever get this type of message is there’s a couple reasons. One is, and I’ll take a few seconds to elaborate here, this is not good news. I mean, people, these antivirus companies, and even the ones that, you know, years ago I thought were fantastic like open malware bites. They will politically be paid to block a site, and therefore you’ll get a message when you go to the site that says this site might be dangerous. And I’ve seen that on many sites that are not dangerous at all, but they don’t like their political point of view.
That’s one thing. And then the other thing is that from time to time, the SSL certificates on these sites renews. And there’s a little period of time when they’re not, before they get renewed properly, that it’ll notify you that the certificate is not correct. But for this particular situation, the CSBOA certificate is always correct. It’s not like this is a banking situation where you’re worried about transferring some kind of information that you don’t want crooks to get. And so in that case, you’ll say, okay, give it a couple days before it makes you even concerned at all.
But for those of you that haven’t antivirus, something like malware bites, Windows Defender and others, then you might want to write them and say, no, this is not a malware site, and please take that down. In the meantime, just go around and say, don’t say that again. [tr:trw].
