When times are good, this is money. When the power goes out, this is money. When times get bad, this is money. When times get really bad, this is the only money. So when I first started prepping, one of the first things I went and did was got a bunch of five gallon buckets and I filled them up with beans and rice and mylar bags. That’s what I always advise people to do if you’re on a budget. But as you go further into your foray into preparedness, you want to diversify your food supply. And so what I embarked on a quest to do with CanadianPreparedness.com was to bring together all of the top tier brands, the highest quality stuff.

Over the years, we’ve accumulated hundreds of different varieties. Sometimes there’s just so many options that you have selection overload and you don’t know what to get. So we’re now offering a new subscription-based service. Leveraging artificial intelligence, we’re now able to offer a very unique variety of our freeze-dried food options. So every month, the algorithm is going to balance out a variety of different factors, ensuring that you’re getting a comprehensive blend of things like proteins, meats, vegetables, desserts, entrees. And this is going to allow you to diversify your pantry over time. It’s always going to be different and it’s always going to be a surprise.

Every offering is going to have a unique blend of these number 10 cans and these individually packed mylar bag meals. Because we only source the highest quality brands, you’re always going to get a quality product even if it doesn’t happen to be something that you particularly enjoy. In terms of the expiration date, some of these last up to 30 years. So this one, for example, lasts till 2053. I wouldn’t worry so much about expiration dates. Most expiration dates are actually best before dates. So any of the foods that you see behind me, they’re only going to have a best before date.

They’re going to be perfectly fine to eat thereafter. The expiration dates are going to vary from brand to brand. For example, Mountain House, 2050, 30 years from now. Peak Refuel has a best before date of 5 to 10 years though. But it’s freeze-dried foods. As long as you keep it in a cool, dry place, it’ll be just fine. Happy Act tends to have even shorter best before dates because some of the ingredients they use are dehydrated. Again, it’s not going to matter. It’s going to taste the same in 10 years. The denomination is perfect for barter.

This is basically a post-apocalyptic $20 bill. It’s something that is small and condensed in its value. It doesn’t require refrigeration. You can put it in your backpack. You can transport it without any special care or consideration. And unlike some of that lower quality bulk freeze-dried food that they try to sell you the 30-day, 60-day kits, you’re actually going to want to eat this on a daily basis. That’s going to be one of the only downsides is that you’re going to be very tempted to want to eat it before the shit hits the fan. So now we’re going to show you two different examples of what you’re going to get in each of these offerings.

And remember, they’re always going to be of commensurate value just in a different variety every month. So let’s go check it out. Okay, so just as an example, these are two offerings. And as you can see, they’re different sizes, but they’re equivalent in terms of their value. One of the great things about having this type of variety is not only does it introduce you to things that you may not have come across before, may not have had the courage to roll the dice on, but if you like something, then you can go and buy more of it.

So for example, this is going to be the first round of the subscription offering. What we have here is, of course, we have our our copia freeze dried smoothie, which is real fruit into a smoothie. We have the breakfast skillet, which the price of this is going to be going up significantly because, of course, eggs are outrageously priced right now. We have Mountain House granola. Admittedly, I eat this one probably a couple times a week. It’s my power up before I do a video. Typically, we have the risotto with chicken. So we’re not skimping out on meat varieties here.

There’s meat in this lasagna backpackers pantry. Great stuff. We have skim milk powder. So that’s more of a storage food like for long term food storage. All of these are. But this you’re getting a condensed protein. You’re getting carbohydrates. Basically, you could live just off skim milk powder. It has everything you need. We have our chicken coconut curry, which is absolutely delicious. We have rice and chicken, which is another one that I frequently eat the Mountain House. We had pad thai with happy act. And then we also have some ground beef stroganoff from quest for food that I also happen to eat often.

This one is an all star on this side. As you can see, this is another one. It’s equivalent value, but there’s a lot more variety because there’s fewer number 10 cans. So the number 10 can that you get here is the pork sausage crumble. Now, this stuff is actually really good, especially on breakfast. So if you were to combine this with some potatoes or eggs, that’s going to be absolutely delicious. We have the Wild West chili and beans backpackers pantry tends to have more exotic type of recipes. We also have the quest for food pudding drops.

We have the fruit flip. So quest for food is a local Canadian company who makes different types of candies and desserts. And they also make the entrees as well. The quest for food is only for sale in Canada. So if you order this from the United States, we may replace that one item with something else of equivalent value. We have the three bean chili Mac, which is vegetarian. We have some beef stroganoff, which is absolutely delicious. Chili Fiesta. We have some granola from happy act. We have the linguine another our copia freeze dried smoothie. The chili Mac from mountain house, which is classic mountain berry granola peach cobbler, which is very dense in terms of the amount of energy.

The peak always dense with protein and carbohydrates. And then we have the strawberry granola as well. So right now the prices of food are fluctuating wildly. We don’t know what it’s going to be in six months. Right now we are pricing this monthly subscription at $200 American. For these 14 food varieties, plus the number 10 can, you’re easily going to be paying more than that if you were to buy these things individually from a store. So to give you some perspective, the equivalent of this would be one of these notorious red buckets that you’ve probably seen before.

And I can tell you right now that they don’t hold a candle to this other stuff in terms of edibility. These are real deal meal replacements. Unlike lower quality stuff like this, that you’re just going to set it and forget it. You can use this on a daily basis. Like I say, I eat these all the time. And they’re also a lot of dip in foods, like some of these candies and things like that. But if you ever have to use these in an emergency, chances are it’s going to suck. You know, you might be cold, you might be without electricity, people might be trying to kill you and take your stuff.

I mean, that’s just a reality, right? So if you have one less thing to worry about, that’s going to be a big morale booster. Variety is the spice of life, as they say. So there’s a practical component to this, but there’s also the hardcore prepping component to it as well. So right now, we’re pricing these as $200 USD a month. And the reason why we use USD is because the Canadian dollar is fluctuating wildly right now. And if we’re to price it in Canadian dollars, it might not be sustainable for us to continue it, if the Canadian dollar really plummeted in value.

You can buy it once, you can try it once, you don’t have to commit to any long term subscription. The idea behind this then is that it saves you the guesswork. Every month, you’re sent a different variety, you don’t have to do anything, you just get it in the mail. It’s going to allow you to build out a very diverse pantry over time. It is going to snowball into something. At the end of the year, you’ll find that you’ve accumulated a nice wide variety of stuff. And chances are, you’re probably not going to get the same thing twice for quite a while, because we have hundreds of different types of meals and vegetables and fruits and desserts and meats.

And if you like something, you can just order more of that singular thing. Alright guys, so we are excited to bring this to the community. If you want to sign up, link is in the description or the pinned comment. And be sure to come back and let us know after you’ve got your subscription in the mail, what you liked and what you didn’t. Thanks for watching, don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe, Canadian Prepero. [tr:trw].
