Summary
➡ The ATF has identified over 11,000 FRT-15s and wide open triggers in its possession, including those sold by RBT, rare breed triggers, and Big Daddy Unlimited. They recently announced a new process for returning these seized items as part of a settlement. However, some people are using tax dollars to launch another lawsuit against this decision. It’s important to support companies and organizations that defend our rights and push back against these actions.
Transcript
Fifteen crybaby states represented by their attorneys general were joined by the District of Columbia in filing a lawsuit yesterday because the new version of the Department of Justice and ATF stopped an infringement. This lawsuit is saying that recognizing you’re infringing on someone’s constitutional right and stopping that is a bad thing. Let’s continue the bad thing. What am I talking about? Well, you know what? First, let me take a second here. Heart to heart, Jared to you, whoever you are, wherever you are. Take a moment right now to look at your loved one or send him a text or a call and tell him you love them and thank God that they’re in your life.
Okay. Obviously, I am very grateful for a reason, but take a second. Let your loved ones know you love them and thank God for them. Okay. All right. What am I talking about? Well, the following states. New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, along with, like I said, Washington, D.C., launched a lawsuit yesterday against the United States Department of Justice, the United States Attorney General, Pam Bondi, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the ATF Acting Director, Dan Driscoll, Kevin Maxwell, and Lawrence DeMonaco of Rare Breed Triggers, the Rare Breed Triggers Company, Rare Breed Firearms, National Association of Gun Rights, NAGR, Texas Gun Rights, and three plaintiffs from NAGR and Rare Breed Triggers lawsuit against the ATF that was just settled regarding forced reset triggers.
I covered that settlement in a video on May 17th, and the link is floating for that. It’s, this is simply ridiculous, but, and you know, there’s a but we need to talk about. And yeah. Guys, my name is Jared. This is Guns and Gadgets, the premier source for Second Amendment News. If you care about your rights, this episode’s a big one here. Hit that subscribe button and turn on the bell notification so you don’t miss anything that the mainstream media won’t cover. And a huge thank you to today’s sponsor, Checkmate Magazines.

All right. Let me read you a part of this complaint first so that you know what’s going on. Have a baseline of the stupidity. Yeah, the stupidity that is this lawsuit. And then I’ll get towards the butt because there’s a reason I’m doing this video. It’s a complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief. It says gun violence is a national scourge. In the past five years, nearly 100,000 Americans were murdered with a gun. During that time, the nation witnessed more than 3000 mass shootings. In 2024 alone, more than 5,000 children were shot with a firearm and more than 1400 of them died as a result.
Their stats, not mine. We all know that there were not 3000 mass shootings. We know that, right? In fact, FBI changed their definition on mass shootings last week, I believe it was. So these numbers are the anti-gun, look at all these bad things, please, heartstrings. What about the children? This is that. The epidemic of gun violence, there is no epidemic of gun violence, but has been fueled in recent years by the growing use of machine gun conversion devices, MCDs, which are used to turn semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic machine guns that can unleash massive carnage in mere seconds.
One such MCD, the forced reset trigger or FRT, has become especially popular, including among individuals who are prohibited from possessing any firearms under federal law. At least 100,000 FRTs have been sold throughout the country and have made their way into every state, even those that independently ban such devices under their state laws. In response to this growing threat, and consistent with this long-standing regulation of similar devices, the ATF correctly classified FRTs as prohibited machine guns under federal law, undertook robust enforcement efforts that succeeded in enjoining distributors from selling the deadly devices, and conducted extensive retrieval operations, seizing nearly 12,000 FRTs from the field.
All of that was unconstitutional and illegal, because FRTs never did, never will meet the definition of machine gun, the definition set by Congress, not FRT or Crybaby AGs, and they’re just really sore losers, because FRTs are illegal. You pull the trigger once, you get one shot. It’s not a machine gun. Then it says, but now the federal government has suddenly reversed course, despite declaring in recent years that FRTs pose a serious public safety risk. ATF has not only promised to abandon enforcing federal law against the distribution and possession of FRTs, it has decided to distribute thousands of these dangerous devices into communities.
ATF has cloaked this policy in a settlement agreement, resolving various lawsuits, including a successful enforcement action in which a federal court ruled that FRTs are machine guns under federal law, and entered a preliminary injunction against their principal distributor. ATF is now walking away from that case entirely. As part of the agreement, ATF is also reversing course in a case where it appealed an injunction requiring it to return FRTs recovered from certain parties to that suit. If that were not enough, ATF has elected to go well beyond what the court order in that case requires, returning FRTs, not just to parties in the litigation, but to anyone, anywhere, so long as it’s practicable to do so.
Yeah, they stole people’s merchandise and have to give it back. Wow, novel idea. So you have a basis of knowledge of what these cry babies are doing, I’ll link the entire complaint down below, but basically they want to ask this judge to please reinstitute these illegal and unconstitutional infringements and do not return all of the illegal stolen items to American citizens. Why? Because criminals are bad. Oh yeah, and the NFA is a thing and the GCA. So yeah, yeah. So please stop this. Guys, I told you there was a but. The judge in this case, the one that’s currently sitting in front of right now in Maryland, is the same judge that ordered President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice to return the MS-13 gang member that was deported, so I think it was Venezuela, about a month or so ago.
So this bear’s watching. That’s a big but. Guy is as left as left can get. And if he wants to stop this initially because he thinks Joe Biden’s weaponized ATF was doing something that should have been done, don’t worry about the Constitution because this judge obviously doesn’t follow the Constitution, but this could be something of interest here. Now also, the lawsuit says criminals commit crimes, yet they want law-abiding citizens to have their freedoms removed because we should never hold criminals accountable. Just keep taking more things away from the good people. It also says ATF estimates that each individual retrieval of a force reset trigger required a combined expenditure of 16 to 24 man hours split between intelligence professionals engaged in analysis and special agents engaged in the retrieval and associated investigatory work.
ATF agents have expended thousands of hours on these retrieval efforts nationally, so please let us continue this infringement, your honor. It also throws a bunch of statistics out there about incidents where machine gun conversion devices were used. However, a vast majority, almost all of them, weren’t force reset triggers anyway. They were Glock switches. That alone should negate this lawsuit over FRTs because I could tell you all day long that we should make these knives illegal because people get stabbed. But of all the ones that people were using, only a small percentage were the bad knife.
Most of them were steak knives, whatever. Bad analogy, but you understand. For instance, in this lawsuit, between 2017 and 2021, ATF recovered 5,454 machine gun conversion devices, which they say is a 570% increase over the previous five years because Glock switches weren’t really a thing back then. But in 2023 alone, ATF recovered a total of 4,542 MCDs, which they say is nearly 83% over the amount recovered between 17 and 21. They did those big raids, if you remember, in California from truckloads or trailerloads that were shipped over from China. So those numbers are in there too.
Additionally, it says in 2023, there were nearly 47,000 gun-related fatalities nationwide. They’re not going to tell you that a majority of those were suicides and wouldn’t apply to this at all because not many people other than Hillary Clinton’s friends, you know, would have multiple shots during that incident. But this also, the 47,000 includes 430 from New Jersey, 737 from Maryland, 124 in Delaware, 1,019 in Colorado, 225 in DC, 73 in Hawaii, 1691 in Illinois, 200 in Maine, 270 in Massachusetts, 1,384 in Michigan, 525 in Minnesota, 616 in Nevada, 642 in Oregon, 58 in Rhode Island, that’s this big, 83 in Vermont, it’s that big, and 1,053 in Washington.
All those numbers I threw out there for a reason. Sounds like these blue, crazy, I’m afraid of freedom states need to crack down on actual criminals, not try to crack down on the people who don’t perpetuate these crimes. Crazy. I know this is crazy speak. Now, as of 2024, ATF had identified at least 11,884 FRT-15s and wide open triggers in its possession that they had, that they took in. And it included FRTs sold by RBT, rare breed triggers, and Big Daddy Unlimited, and wide open enterprises. Remember the whole lawsuit between rare breed and Big Daddy.
Now, ATF just announced, literally, I think it was yesterday, they just announced the process, the new version of the process for returning seized forced reset triggers pursuant to the settlement from last month. Now, they will be, ATF will be mailing these FRT owners a notice by June 30th with instructions for reclaiming your FRT through your local ATF field office. So, ATF and rare breed came to a settlement, these piss-ass, crybaby, weak, terrible people, the attorneys general, are using tax dollars from those states, from the good people who work hard, they’re stealing your money to launch another lawsuit that they know they’re going to lose.
This is just a, look what I did to try to stop gun violence. Let me know what you guys think about this lawsuit down below. Again, it’s linked if you want to support those that support you. The companies that you know support our efforts, support them. Whether it’s in this case, NAGR who’s getting sued because they won, they helped rare breed trigger, rare breed triggers come to a win. You know, Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America, Firehouse Policy Coalition, Gun CDL, the Virginia Citizens Defense League, OK2A, you name it, the ones that you know are doing the hard work to defend our rights, to push back and regain lost ground.
Those are the ones we should be supporting. And get after it, because they smell blood in the water. That blood in the water is the midterms coming up. And they’re trying to do everything they can to say, look, orange man bad again. We’re already burning down Los Angeles. Look at, they’re trying, they’re putting machine guns back on the street. That’s something that every time I said yesterday, they’re putting machine, hundreds of thousands of machine guns on the street. Well, those assholes never shot a machine gun because an FRT isn’t a machine gun.
And Trump didn’t do anything to legalize machine guns, but it’s the fodder that’s going out there. So push back, fight back, share this video, subscribe to the channel. I love y’all. Again, pull your loved one close, hug them tight, and thank God they’re in your life, because it can change just like that. [tr:trw].
