Summary

➡ The speaker, celebrating his 69th birthday, shares some interesting coincidences about his family’s birthdays and historical events. He also discusses his childhood struggle with stuttering and how he overcame it without therapy, thanks to a psychiatrist’s advice. He then talks about a recent study linking stuttering to certain genes, but questions the validity of the study, arguing that it doesn’t consider the individual’s personal experiences or environment. He criticizes the medical field for often ignoring these factors and focusing solely on genetics or luck.
➡ The text discusses the contrast between the vitality and health we feel when immersed in nature, and the stagnation and disease we experience in modern, unnatural environments. It suggests that our health is influenced by the quality of our environment and our body’s ability to accept and use the energy from nature. The text also criticizes the conventional medical approach that focuses on physical, chemical causes for diseases, ignoring the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects. It argues that this approach is flawed and leads to misunderstanding of diseases like stuttering and oral cancer.
➡ The text discusses the misconception about hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease, suggesting they are not diseases but the body’s strategy to slow metabolism when it senses a health issue. The author shares a case where a woman’s self-starvation led to osteoporosis and hypothyroidism, which were resolved when she resumed a normal diet. The author argues that the body can correct itself once the underlying issue is addressed, but warns that long-term use of thyroid replacement medication can make it difficult for the thyroid to return to normal function.

Okay, welcome everybody. Welcome to another Wednesday webinar. And Today is Wednesday, October 1, 2025. And I did happen to see in the chat that I got outed as today is my birthday. It’s actually my 69th birthday. That sounds old to me, but there you go. So I that also means I actually am going to pro cut this webinar a bit short. I’m gonna. I have a little piece in the beginning and then I’m going to read the chapter and then I’ll probably take two questions and then we have another engagement. So I hope everybody understands. And just on the subject of birthdays, I just wanted to let everybody know.

I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but my family has a very kind of bizarre birthday con configuration. And what I mean by that is today is obviously my birthday. Yesterday was my son Joe’s birthday and today is also my grandson AJ’s birthday. So that’s interesting. Asher, my other son was born on the same day or same date as my sister. So that’s also interesting. But probably even more interesting is my mother was born on 9 11, obviously before 2001. My father was born on what is called Pearl Harbor Day. And they were married on the date obviously before the alleged assassination of John Kennedy on November 22nd.

So it’s all very sort of bizarre, kind of personal and American history karma. What it means, I have no idea. But there you go. And on sort of personal note, I also had. I’d like to try to find something current interest. So I found something that in some ways was important in my life. So I thought I would share it. So let me take share this. This was an article. It doesn’t come out right, but I anyways, I can’t figure out how to do that, but you’ll get the point. And this I. I found in a feed that I somehow get and it was found it was published in the Smithsonian magazine.

So therefore we know it must be true, like everything from the Smithsonian. And the title of the paper was what Causes Stuttering? A large DNA analysis study offers new clues uncovering links to 48 genes. Interestingly, when I was little I had a combination of stuttering, apparently very badly. Didn’t speak and couldn’t say or couldn’t pronounce a number of letters, particularly Ls. So I my favorite TV show apparently was I Love Lucy. Interestingly, we have a cat now named Lucy, not Lucy, but so this was apparently so bad that I almost totally didn’t speak by the time I was seven.

And so when I was in first grade and they thought that would fix me and I would start speaking because I was in school and that apparently didn’t work. So they ended up taking me to a child psychiatrist. His name I actually know was Maury Weiss, who I ended up playing tennis with him later on and, and have been grateful to him for. For a long time. And the reason is because apparently they took me to him once and I don’t know what he did because I probably didn’t talk to him. But whatever he did, he told my parents, don’t worry about him, he has a lot to say.

He just doesn’t have the words yet to say it. Just leave him alone, don’t do any therapy, don’t do anything, and he’ll be fine. Whether I’m the definition of fine or not, I can let you guys decide. But anyways, I am. This is back when psychiatrist still had at least a little bit of sense. And I am have been grateful to him for my life for not trying to fix me. Anyways, so that’s why stuttering was an interesting thing to me and why I clicked on this article. The other thing I would say is my mother’s for her entire life.

And this sort of characterized her as a person because she was one of the nicest persons anybody ever met. But her favorite saying was, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything. And obviously there was a lot going on in my house with the food and the vaccines and the Twinkies and my father and mother didn’t get along very well. And a lot of things that I saw in the way we were living that I didn’t like. So naturally I decided not to talk. Seemed perfectly reasonable because I don’t think I could think of anything good to say.

And since if you don’t have anything good to say, you don’t say anything, I decided not to say anything. Maybe in first grade or so I decided that there was something I needed to say or I found the words for. So anyways, this study was in analyzing data from a million users of 23andMe. And they found associations between genes and stuttering. So they say stuttering is a normal common speech condition 70 million people. Its cause is not well understood by scientists. Oh my God, is that possible? You mean scientists don’t know what causes it? You know, again, people used to come to me all the time and say, you know, I’m coming to you because my doctor doesn’t know what causes my.

Whatever it is Cancer, autoimmune disease, or whatever they thought they had. And I would always say name one disease that they do know the cause of. And besides strep throat and herpes, which they got wrong, as far as I know, there isn’t one. So nothing new about that. But now they found a new study that shows light, sheds light on it. And stuttering is caused by genes. No one really understands why someone stutters. It’s been a complete mystery and it’s true for most speech and language pathologies, explains Jennifer Below, a geneticist at Vanderbilt. They’re profoundly understudied because they don’t have put people in the hospital, but enormous consequences on people’s quality of life.

So they looked at a million users who did and didn’t have it or not, 100,000 or so who did, and a million who didn’t. And they found 57 genetic regions mapped to 48 genes linked to stuttering. And they published their findings in Nature Genetics. So they find basically they, they break, they see all these broken down segments of so called GNA and they PCR it and they find the strongest association was the VRK2 gene, which has also been associated with the ability to clap on beat and language decline. They found genetic similar similarities between stuttering, autism, depression and musicality.

And they also say heightened levels of self doubt, insecurity and hopelessness. And they go on. So what I would love to hear is a, that they isolated, that this is the only thing different about a person and they were able to change the gene and create a mutated gene and that made somebody stutter. Then I would like to hear how it is. If you even assume that the normal genetic paradigm is correct, that genes code for proteins, code for mRNA, then that is translated into proteins. How it is that a mutated gene makes a protein that makes you stutter? Is it that it affects your larynx? Is it affects the connections in your brain? So is there a connection between the brain and the larynx that makes you stutter or does it mess up the ability of your tongue to move? And this is actually frank nonsense and it goes to another point which I’ve said over and over again, in which I quickly learned in medical school that in seeing some of my fellow students who made it through medical school and became full fledged doctors, that you could basically be any kind of degenerate.

You could be dumb and not be able to pass the tests, you could be an alcoholic, you could be a drug addict, you could probably be a pedia file, you could be Any manner of whatever you want and still be a doctor. But if you somehow decide that the that what happens to a person and what is it what up individual can actually influence and control in their life, then that is the only disqualifying thing for being a medical doctor in the United States that will get you kicked out of medical school. You have to agree that the person has no agency.

It’s all genes, germs or bad luck. And if you dare to say that the person’s whatever happened or their mother said, if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything or what they were seeing in their life has anything to do with your condition, you are basically ostracized and kicked out. Because that is the only thing that doesn’t fly as you become a doctor. That that is so important for people to understand. That is essentially the only thing that disqualifies you. The fundamental premise of medicine is the person who is unwell, who’s asking for help, has no agency in this.

The agency is taken over by the doctor and you become a victim of, in this case, your genesis. Even though the science behind this is absolutely ridiculous, there’s no possible mechanism that this could happen. There’s not even a proposed mechanism or way to understand it. All they’re doing is looking at random pieces of so called genetic material, DNA fragments and trying to find some correlation to with that in some condition. Having no way to know whether there’s anything causative in this or not. And they make these kind of headlines and saying offers new clues to the cause and association between genes and stuttering.

It is the biggest kind of nonsense you can possibly imagine. All right, for chapter five. Stagnation. Most of us, maybe all of us, have had the experience at least a few times in our lives of the lightness we feel when walking in pristine forests, strolling on an ocean beach, or sitting beside a roaring waterfall. Not just a lightness, but, but it is, it is an experience of freshness. The air feels cleaner, lighter, even brighter somehow. Not just the air, we also feel lighter somehow, cleaner, clearer in our minds. It is a clear, unmistakable feeling. We can even speculate a bit and say these deep experiences of nature, the immersion in nature, as unfiltered, unaltered as possible these days, engenders a feeling of increased vitality in us.

It is an actual experience of what the ancients called prana or qi, flowing through our organs and body. This is the experience and the fundamental condition of and for health. The crucial point here is that the Conditions for the promotion of health seem to arise due to interactions with natural forces as unaltered as possible. The natural world is the source of this prana. This ether that we are all swimming in is the source of energy flow and therefore health. Contrast this vitalizing experience with that which happens while sitting in yet another online business meeting in your climate controlled modern high rise.

Or the feeling that arises watching the seemingly endless, always contentious and hate filled government hearings, or the sensations you might feel after another tedious day doing a job you can’t stand. In these settings and many more experiences which are the standard fare in our modern lives, one can even feel the quote, deadness in the air and the slow but steady decrease in our vitality. This is the experience of stagnation. This is what we call disease. Interestingly, there are at least two components or two sides that determine in each situation and for each individual whether a given experience will result in vitality, health or stagnation disease.

The first and obvious condition is the quality of the environment we are in. Clearly the quality of the light, the charge of the air, the refinement of the prana is different than these same qualities in a climate controlled high rise. The second condition is not so obvious, but just as crucial. That is the quality of our organs, structures and tissues to a large extent determine whether we can accept and use the abundant clean charge of a pristine forest. My guess is it is the quality, purity and crystalline nature of the water in our organs, structures and tissues which will determine whether the healthy prana will be accepted and be allowed to flow through our bodies.

Our physical bodies set up a kind of resistance to the electromagnetic ocean we all swim in. Not enough resistance from us, from our internal water and we become inflamed. In essence, we dematerialize, become formless, like a tonsil becoming pus. Too much resistance, in essence an overly materialistic condition and we harden. Hardened or sclerotic tissue allows little or no flow in and through it. The tissue becomes lifeless, mimicking the natural state of the lifeless minerals instead of the living state of crystal. This is seen in our bodies conditions such as arterial hardening or calcium mineral format or the various neurodegenerative quotes crystal water in each case involving the true utilization of our bodies combined with the excessive exposure to dead stagnant environments.

In the next chapter we will examine how to avoid the only real epidemic humanity is currently facing. That is, we have learned to see the world and ourselves as only physical, chemical, material, substance. We have become this substance and now we must learn to heal okay. And an example of that is we are determined by the genes, by this material chemical in us. And even something as profound as how we speak, that is stuttering is somehow determined by this materialistic chemical substance in us, which has had a mistake made by intuit or bought in it. And that is the only sort of or true cause of stuttering.

And that approach will lead us nowhere. And with that, let me shift over to YouTube and get a few questions, maybe just a couple, and then off to celebrate my birthday. So one question here. This we sort of gone over. Many declare that HPV from oral sex causes oral tongue or throat cancer. If there is no hpv, do you believe that there is still a sexually transmitted aspect to oral cancer? Thank you. So there is no hpv. And if anybody disagrees with that, I say this over and over again. They would have to isolate a HPV that particular virus, characterize it, show that all the proteins are coded for by the genes in that virus, and then once they know what it’s made of and what the components are, they would expose animals or people to only that virus and show that it causes oral tongue or throat cancer.

And none of those steps have ever been done, nor will they ever be done. So we’re just talking about an association which has no meaning, and in this case with something that can’t even be found. So we also have to separate that question. Does oral sex have anything or oral cancer, oral tongue or throat cancer have anything to do with oral sex? Because obviously there’s more things that happen in the process of oral sex than the possible transmission of, of a non existent virus. So we already know it’s not a virus. But do we know that something might, might or might not happen during the process of oral sex which might actually not be good for somebody for that? Obviously there’s a lot of things that one is exposed to in the process of oral sex.

And some of them could be healthy, and some of them may not be healthy, but I think. So the first thing I would do is try to figure out whether there is a clear association between say, frequency or the exposure of oral sex and any of these cancers. And I don’t know if that’s ever been looked at, I doubt it. And I suspect that if it was really done in a proper way, they would find that there is in fact no association with which is even different than cause between oral sex and these types of cancers.

But even if there is, that doesn’t implicate a non existent virus. It just tells you there’s Something about that process which may or may not be an observation that isn’t good for you. And again, I don’t know that that’s the case. In fact, I doubt that it is. But if it was, I would certainly be interested in the experience of the person. So it could be that there are certain kind of toxins that are found in the vaginal or secretions of somebody genitals. So that could be a source of toxicity. But more importantly, I would think it’s got to do with the emotional, psychological and spiritual connection between the participants and in particular whether they have any conflicts or questions or ambiguities or reservations about doing that particular type of sexual activity.

My guess is in many, if not most, if not all the cases where there was some sort of association, which again, I’m not saying there is, but if there was, that you would find a lot of those factors being at play. The factors including some sort of toxic material in the secretions as well as a pretty profound psychological, emotional resistance or conflict around doing that with that person in that way, etc. So it’s a whole different way of looking at it. All of that is unfortunately glossed over and lost when the imaginary virus is fingered as the implicating cause.

And so it’s every situation we go through, whether it’s stuttering or oral tongue cancer is the same. They, they’ve, they end up, they being conventional medicine, gloms on to an imaginary materialistic chemical cause of which they actually have no evidence for at all. They have no mechanism. In some cases, many cases, the thing either doesn’t exist or doesn’t do anything like they say. And therefore because of this primal theory that they have, which has got nothing to do with how you see life or your spirit or what your intention is, or any conflict or any feelings or emotions or whether you have any reservations or any toxic exposures, all of that gets unlooked at, unresolved, unstudied.

It doesn’t exist because that would be blaming the victim. And the first rule of medicine is we never do that. It’s all just dumb luck. Every single case, same thing you find. Let’s go down and see if there’s maybe one more question here. All right, we’ll go to the next one. A friend with Hashimoto’s low thyroids taking levothyroxine. How would you deal with this condition? So Hashimoto is considered an, quote, autoimmune disease of the thyroid. And the reason they say that is because in some people, and that’s where of course, this gets interesting, who have low thyroid function.

And even that is interesting because how do you know if somebody has low thyroid function? Used to be that they would test on your basal body temperature, but now they do it with basically testing hormone levels. And they say if the TSH thyroid stimulating hormone is high, then your thyroid isn’t responding. And so then you have hypothyroid and then they look for the cause of the hypothyroid and they say if you have Hashimoto, if you have thyroid antibodies, then you have a disease called Hashimoto’s and that antibody is destroying your thyroid, therefore it doesn’t put out enough thyroid hormone.

And then you have all these symptoms of low metabolism and gaining weight and thick tongue and can’t think right and fatigue, etc. And so the only way out of that is to give you thyroid. So the first problem with that is if it’s an autoimmune disease and therefore it’s called caused by elevated thyroid, thyroid antibodies, just like rheumatoid arthritis caused by elevated, you know, rheumatic rheumatoid factor antibodies, there should be one study at least, there should be hundreds, if not thousands, where people isolated the antibodies, gave those to normal healthy people or animals, and show that it causes disease.

And with no antibody has ever been actually purified from any living being. So that’s the first problem. It’s all a hypothetical chemical. And second of all, because no antibody has been purified, no antibody, pure antibody, has been given to any group of healthy animals and people show that it causes disease. Again, if you believe in the autoimmune theory, you should be able to show me many papers that have purified antibodies from people, given those to animals or other people, and show that it causes disease. And I can guarantee that doesn’t exist. So this is a hypothetical model that has never been proven and in fact is not true.

So the question then is what happened to end up with a person presumably having low thyroid function, which I’d say is different than having low thyroid antibodies. But the functions we associate with thyroid hormones like metabolism and pulse rate and weight and clarity of thinking, all those are on the sluggish side. So why might that be? And I told this story many times of the patient who woke me up to the hypothyroid scam, which was a woman who came to me because she was having osteoporosis. This was based on a bone scan, which nobody should ever do, but she had one.

And so of course I found out the story what happened here. And she said that she was starting to gain weight and her husband didn’t like women who were overweight or even apparently normal weight because she was far from overweight. And so because of that she decided to go on a very strict diet which was actually a deficient in many normal foods. And she, that caused her to lose weight. And she stayed like that for a year or so. And that’s when she got the test and she found out that her bones were under mineralized. And she was then told that she needed treatment for her osteoporosis.

So in putting that together, you can make the story that you can tell what happened here, which is that this person, for psychological, emotional, relational reasons, decided to starve herself. Now we know that the integrity of the bones and essentially the mineralization of the bones has, has a lot to do with how much weight you put on the bones. Because clearly if you have weak, if you have weak bones, you would rather have not a whole lot of weight, otherwise you would essentially crush your bones. So because she was attempting to lose weight by starving herself, she, her bones started to deteriorate and they became undermineralized, which is the osteoporosis.

And that created a grave danger to her infrastructure essentially. So her body seeing that said, oh, you need to gain weight, but the person wouldn’t gain weight. So now you’re in a crisis mode. So you say, so what should I do? So what I would do if I was her body is to turn the thyroid down, which then slows the metabolism. It’s like the idle of your car. And maybe you even have antibodies produced as the tissue is breaking down and those are misinterpreted as antibodies. They have nothing to do with causing the slowing of the thyroid.

It’s just that your body in its wisdom says we need to gain weight. You’re refusing to eat more food or put on more weight for some in some other way. So I’m going to turn your idle down and that’s going to slow your metabolic rate down and then you’re going to gain some weight. And that increased weight will put more pressure on the bones and they will then heal. And so that was then the diagnosis of hypothyroidism. It’s not a disease any Hashimoto’s not a disease. It’s a strategy of the body to slow your metabolism down because your body in its wisdom is somehow understanding that you’re not healthy enough to have a normal metabolism and in particular might have a relationship to the bones.

So how do I know that I was right? So I told her that this is probably what happened. And so all you have to do is basically eat a normal sort of nourishing traditions diet. In other words, nourish your bones and either get rid of your husband or tell him that you’re not interested in being overly thin, and we’ll see what happens both to your thyroid and your bones. And she did that. And six months later, her thyroid tests were all normal. She had no more thyroid symptoms. And then she ended up having another bone scan and her bones had gone back to normal in about a year.

And so it turns out I was probably correct that this was all a response to starving herself. Now, people can starve themselves in many different ways, either like she did with food, or psychologically or emotionally or spiritually or whatever. And the body often will respond to protect you by slowing your metabolic rate down, which then causes you to have symptoms and even causes you to test low in this. So these thyroid hormones. But you don’t have a disease. You have a brilliant strategy to correct what you otherwise didn’t correct, maybe because you didn’t see it or because you had reasons why you didn’t want to correct it.

Once you bring that to consciousness and correct it, whatever it was, was the reason why you were undernourished and starving, your body can correct it, go back to normal, and then it can give up the strategy of making you hypothyroid. So with the friend who has Hashimoto’s, there is a problem. There’s something that happened and that has to be found and corrected. There’s some sort of stagnation either in the environment or the nature of her tissues or organs. Once you deal with that, her body will give up the strategy of being hypothyroid. And I will say, as I’ve said before, the problem this, in my experience, pretty much always worked, except in people who came in after taking thyroid for 5, 10, 20 years, they essentially told their thyroid, we didn’t need you anymore.

The thyroid eventually got the message and so atrophied and stopped working. And in some of those people, it was very difficult to bring the thyroid back to normal. But the people who never took this levothyroxine, which essentially replaces your thyroid and tells it, you’re done, we don’t need you anymore. And it totally suppresses the condition. And interestingly, levothyroxine is known to cause osteoporosis and fractured bones. Exactly what the connection that I was talking about. So if in the people who are taking it. You have to wean off slowly, and that’s often takes a while. And sometimes they can completely get off the thyroid hormone, and sometimes not.

The people who never took it, they almost always can go back to normal. Okay, I think I’m gonna stop there. And I want to thank everybody for the birthday wishes and for joining me on my birthday, and I will hopefully see you next week.
