Hey, it’s Dan. Welcome back. This is IAllegedly. And I’ve got a good one for you today. Because, man, oh, man, oh, man, business is collapsing. Business is falling apart. People are not making the money they were making a year ago. And I’m going to prove it to you. Hit the like button. Subscribe to the channel. In April of 2025, they were up 16% from a year ago.

They were, and this figure is just staggering, okay? There were individual bankruptcies. There was 30,961 individual bankruptcies. You and your wife, your family, individuals. Now, again, a huge amount. Things are going in the wrong direction right now. Now, overall bankruptcies, that surged an additional 16% as well. And you saw business filings that went up to 43,330. Guys, it is the wrong direction. You have everybody upside down right now. And they don’t know how to keep, you know, get through it. I’m telling you guys, that is a last resort. Bankruptcy is the end all to be all.

And you can negotiate anything with your creditors right now. And I’ve said this line before, and that is, when people get desperate, and when they start to lose money and can’t pay people, they get creative with the stories they tell people. The only problem with is that every story has been told already. And it’s not like you’re doing something. You know, tell them we mailed the check on Thursday, and we won’t mail it till Monday. They’ll get kind of pissed off, but then they’ll get it on Tuesday, and we’ll be in great shape. You know, they’ve heard it.

They’ve seen it. They’ve done it. We all have done that when we were broke. The point is, is that contact people and tell them. And if you are in, you know, if you’re in business, and you can stave off bankruptcy as a last resort, do that. Do that. Because I’m telling you the story I’ve told before is Mervin’s, the store chain. They, you know, all of the CEOs contacts for school clothes said, you know what, we’re gonna get, you know, we’re gonna get our payments. We’re gonna get money from this guy. He’s withholding payments. And he said, if you do not deliver the school clothes, we’re not only gonna file bankruptcy, but we’re gonna be done.

We’re gonna have to liquidate. That’ll never happen. And sure enough, it happened, guys. So nobody wants that. They didn’t want that. The people that did that to him should burn and help. People that are, you know, part of, you know, all this big equity firms that buy businesses and destroy them. Look at Joanne’s fabrics, guys. If you look up the story on that, you know, they destroyed that place. Toys R Us, another one. They took a good toy store chain and, you know, gave them money, rented back the facilities to them. And now the majority of those places are still bankrupt.

Remember Circuit City, guys? How about Best Buy? How about those guys? Okay. I’m sorry, the good guys. Best Buy still open. Sorry about that one. The good guys. Remember that? The good guys. Aren’t so good. They’re bankrupt guys. Anyways, see what I’m saying? This is a problem. But right now, you know, of all these bankruptcies in April, they were, you know, there’s over 50,000 bankruptcy filings because you had municipalities that filed bankruptcy too. The overall number of commercial filings in April increased by well over 12%. And the number of commercial Chapter 11 filings were over 20%.

So people trying to hang on, there was that. However, the number of small businesses, registrations recorded at sub-Chapter 5 elections under Chapter 11 roads, and increased an additional 4% also. I love stats like this, guys. All the stuff from the accounting sites. You need to communicate with people how bad you’re doing. You need to understand that we are all in the same boat together. Your suppliers that are trying to squeeze you right now are having the same difficulty because you are not their only problem right now. There are 50 other people that owe them money right now.

Maybe more in some of, you know, instances. And people just need to understand that. You know, think about this one. Because this was shocking. Weight Watchers just filed bankruptcy. And they’re a big spokesperson who stepped down last year. And I had a guy walk up to me last night at the baseball game and said, do you think that Oprah killed Weight Watchers? Do you think that because she couldn’t negotiate a deal? That, you know, by her stepping down, it ruined Weight Watchers? I’m like, no. Osempic ruined Weight Watchers, guys. Do you understand? Do you want to have an eating program? Do you want to eat less? Do you want to eat low calorie food? How about exercise, fat ass? Do you want to do that? No.

Doesn’t sound like fun, does it? No. Nobody wants to do that. Take a, you know, an injection, put that poison inside you. And you can lose weight. And there’s all these knockoffs. Man, oh, man, oh, man. I am telling you, for those of you out there, don’t take Osempic. That it will never be a sponsor on this channel. None of that S will ever be on this channel because of how deadly that stuff is. And you have no idea how bad it is, okay? No idea how bad it is. One of the Real Housewives of Los Angeles is having, you know, hair loss right now.

Well, isn’t that nice? Wasn’t she a pretty girl? Yeah, beautiful. Was. Well, okay, Baldy, you know. No, it’s not cancer. It’s that. Taking that crap. But again, Weight Watchers filed Chapter 11. And Oprah Winfrey has one of the top shareholders. It’s slumped 40% in extended tradeings, you know. Guys, by the rising popularity of GLP, one drug such as Novo Nordics, Well, Govee and Zeppond and all this stuff, you know, they have a reported loss of $345 million. Again, guys, no one wants to date and meet people and ask questions. And oh, wow, this person looks good in the outside.

But like I always say, people are film sets, guys. You got a beautiful building. And then it’s flat. And you go behind it. And there’s nothing there. A lot of people dating that way. You know, women that are facades that look great. Okay, they have nothing going on for them. Nothing upstairs. No job, no prospects. Same thing with men, guys. Okay, so remember that. But I don’t want to deal with this. I want to swipe right and find Prince Charming. I want to find the girl in my dreams, which is nobody else has met. It just doesn’t date and has never been with another man and has $40 billion.

Okay, you know what I mean? It doesn’t work, guys. Life takes effort. Nobody wants to hear that. Nobody wants to hear that. And the older I get, it’s funny, you start to lose weight, takes longer, the older you get. Nobody wants to hear that either. Go take some of that stuff, man. It’ll speed the process up. Evie Maker Polestar. This is what I got a kick out of. 27,800 vehicles of Polestar. They’re two electric vehicles in the U.S. Over the wrist that the rear-view camera display might not show the exact image while backing up. I was shocked that they sold 27,800 cars from Polestar.

Okay, that’s why I’m sharing this story with you. You guys, all these cars, these cars, these cars, these cars, these congresspeople and all these mandates, California, just yesterday, voted down the mandates for EV cars for the 2035 start. It’s done, guys. Okay, you don’t have to have an EV car. They’re going to sell gasoline-powered cars. Governor Newsom’s been shut down as a result of that. So drive an EV car if you want to, but you don’t have to now if you don’t want to. It’s been bad enough. It’s like people working in the yards can’t have gasoline-powered air blowers anymore.

You got to have them all electric. Talk to anybody in landscaping. They suck. They wear out. We cannot finish a full day and do all the houses we did in a regular basis with these things. We have to carry extra batteries with us. Okay, it’s funny. So remember that, guys. What else? Yeah, I told you guys about Ryan and Uber CEO, you know, wants to have people think about this. Instead of going to the office for executives two days a week, I’m like, wow, what’s he doing? Stepped it up three days a week. People are flipping out.

They are flipping out, guys. They don’t want to go to the office three days a week. They don’t have anything to do with that. Try not to fall over like an old man. This is cool, guys. You got all these houses on the canal. It’s a very nice area. So, but again, imagine being told you have to come in the office three days a week and they’re revolting. Oh, we’re gonna fight this. Okay, go fight it by getting a new job. Go work at Lyft. Okay. Sorry for the wind up there. It’ll tone down in just a second.

Let’s get to the bottom here. But, telling you guys, people don’t want to hear about this, you know, it’s a little bit more to cover. I’m going to finish this video with these last few things. And I just had somebody say, oh my god, you got to go to the store. It’s because people are stocking up. Don’t panic buy. Never, ever, ever panic buy. Now, final, final story. Caleb Johnson. Caleb Johnson lives in Fort Worth, Texas. And for the last six years, he’s been fighting a Homer Association that he didn’t want to be part of. He lives in a tract and the Homer Association is voluntary. So he said, I’m not going to be part of it. Didn’t pay, wants nothing to do with it. He bought his daughter and his son to see what he does.

And he got fined $100 for having them parked in the street. Hey, listen, the HOA says you can’t have that. Well, I don’t participate in the HOA. So I have nothing to do with this. Yeah, you do. So anyways, they ended up suing him and he had a lawsuit. He lost $5,400. Now they’re going to lean his house. And again, didn’t get a lawyer, wanted to represent himself like a fool. And now they’re going to lean his house and potentially foreclose on it for $100. Now, if you live in the HOA, they want you to follow the rules.

Now he goes around, he takes pictures of people that leave their boats out. But again, guys, this is just nuts. It’s insane that they did this to him. And it’s the why I hate associations. But this brought up all these great stories. Read the article because it talks about what an association can do and can’t do. And I won’t bore you with all that stuff. But again, guys, I’m telling you, get legal advice. If you are a professional, you’ve got to know somebody that’s a lawyer. And unfortunately, I know way too many lawyers. So there’s got to be help that you can get with situations like that.
