Hey, it’s Dan. Welcome back. This is IAllegedly and for those of you that have been around a few years, you know that this channel was started helping people get their SBA loans, business grants, and then we morphed into the business news. Now, here’s the thing. I have had a tremendous amount of people write me lately to get money, expand their business, to start a business, to remodel their business, just to pay their bills. I’ve had everything. So I thought, okay, this is the perfect day to come out and give you guys everything, because the programs are out there.

Whether you want to work from your home office, you want to expand your storefront, you need cash to buy new equipment, computers are to modernize, these programs are there. Now, the advantage to a grant is that you do not have to pay it back. It is not a loan. Now, in the list of things, and there’s a ton of stuff in the video description below, there are small business loan programs that you can get, and the idea with this is to get money that’s, you know, affordable that you have a purpose for.

Don’t use loans to put out fires. Negotiate those. Okay? I’m going to say that right up front, but I’m going to start. There’s a grade from the US Chamber of Commerce. There is, you know, over 100 grants, loans, and programs. Now, some of these are government grants, and you can go to places like grants.gov and get connected with this. And other places, there are all these different programs, community development, financial institutions. You’ve got the Illinois infrastructure. You know, it’s funny, certain states have a ton of stuff available right now where you can get all this grant money, and Cook County, Illinois.

Akron, Ohio has got some decatur Illinois. Montpuller, Vermont has got a program for people to expand their business. They’re going to give out hundreds of grant programs between $1,000 and $4,500. That doesn’t have to be paid back. Do what you want with it. Now, here is the thing about this. Well, Dan, I want free money. It doesn’t work that way. You have to prepare yourself and be able to apply and be able to go out and explain what your business does, whether it’s an existing business or a new business.

You have to be able to explain this in such a way. One thing that I recommend is that you have two files. You have an online file with all your documents and everything about your company, business licenses, tax ID numbers, your social, your little elevator pitch and what the company does, and have that. But also have hard copies of this because there’s some of these programs where they want to see, hey, can you, you know, put this as an attachment and send it over and you can take a picture with your phone and send it over.

Some people want that. But there are hundreds of these programs out there. The Minnesota Emerging Entrepreneur Loan Program, start a business, U.S. National Institutes of Health grant. Now, here’s the thing. It doesn’t make a bitter difference. What industry you are in or you want to be in? There’s a program for you out there. And the thing about this, San Francisco Accessibility Grant. You have a business and I’m telling you, here in California, they’re constantly changing the accessibility requirements for a business, for signage, for, you know, you know, ramps, things like that.

Well, now there’s grant programs to help you pay for that stuff because it’s not free to go do this stuff. It never is. So, you know, small business technology transfer, U.S. Department of Commerce. Now, there are minority loan programs out there. And the thing about this is that I, you know, during COVID, it morphed into where more of the programs were for minorities. It just happened that way. Well, now what you’re seeing is the, you know, the accessibility programs where they’re saying, listen, this is for men and women. We want both to apply equally and we’re going to get 50, 50 for men and 50, 50 for women.

Look at the video description. There are so many resources for you to get money, to get programs. Now, I mean, I could go on forever. You know, of course, the Small Business Administration, U.S. Economic Development Administration, all these different programs are out there and they are designed to help answer questions and help get you ahead. Now, if you are going to start a business, what’s the business going to be? The most popular thing lately that people have written me about is food trucks again. I want to start a food truck.

Great. Okay. These things make money hand over fist. They’re also getting robbed hand over fist. So big thing with this is security. How can you protect your customers? How can you protect your staff? How can you make it so that the truck’s not going to be cut into and ripped off of inventory and money, which I don’t know why anybody would close up shop and leave money in their store or in their food truck. But people seem to do stupid things every now and then. So again, the first story below has 100 different opportunities.

Are you somebody that knows something about, you know, IT? Are you good with the internet? There are programs out there where they will pay you to teach people this stuff. You can zoom and get paid for stuff like this. And, you know, AI is the hot new thing. Do you know about AI right now? You want to teach people AI? There’s programs where they will pay you to teach, you know, seniors AI programs. Okay, women-owned small business federal contracting program. You know, at least 5% of the federal contracting programs have to go to women, no matter what.

And the thing about this is that you’ve got different opportunity zones, hub zones, all these different places that we learned about during COVID. Because, oh, you know what, we’re going to give the EIDL money to areas that need it the most. So what they learned was they lent money to the worst people in the worst areas. And guess what? They didn’t have a good payback on those loans. You give somebody money, and just write them a check. And they didn’t have a good plan. And with that good plan, they wasted money, some 40, 50, 80 grand for some of these people.

So again, I could go on, there’s just so many of these programs, general small business grants, you know, the Credibility Small Business Award, FedEx, Office, every year has a grant program, Home Depot has a grant program, all these different businesses, Fair Small Business Grant, provides $5,000 grant to select retail businesses. Now some of these have requirements where they say, hey, you have to have a storefront or an office and things like that. Well, it just depends. Do customers come visit you? Some of these programs are designed to make it more appealing for them to come visit your business.

But $5,000, guys, is five grand. So, you know, all these different places, you know, Hustlers Micro Grant, $1,000 of funding support, passion entrepreneurs and small business ventures, you know, crazy, crazy, you know, into it. It could just go on, guys, I could go on, but let’s let’s get to the other stuff, because it’s just it’s really good. These programs are out there. And the one thing that I’ve had lately is people do this in one of two ways. Hey, I really need money. I’m in New York. And give me some of those addresses and and phone numbers to get some free cash.

Okay. And then you get people that write a detailed story of their situation, whether it’s health related, whether it’s a job that they put a bunch of time into, and companies folding. And now they need they need assistance, they need help paying their cell phone bill. If you go to places like find help.org, find help.org, there are programs that are national. And you can get yourself money to pay bills to pay healthcare costs, food, pay your electric bill. And I am telling you this right now, if you are remotely, I’m having a difficult time right now, I think it’s going to get worse.

I am one of the people that believe that this is going to get worse before it gets better. Okay, saw my last video 18 months of pain. And if you’re ready for this, you can do it. Now, here’s the thing. These programs are out there. Okay, they’re out there, they can help you. 211.org is another good program. 211.org gets assistance for different areas. I have helped so many people pay rent, pay their bills, pay everything with these different programs. What else? Unite us. Unite dot us. Okay, unite us.com.

Excuse me. That’s a good one. It’s got a good bunch of programs there. Nonprofit jobs and mentorship through idealist.org. Okay, now here’s one. Here’s the thing that I get written. Hey, listen, I can’t have my husband on the company and he owns the house. But he was arrested and he did his time. But, you know, we can’t, we can’t have a money thing. Well, guess what? Some grant programs for people that have been a felons people have been arrested. So I don’t want to hear your excuse. You don’t understand.

It’s too difficult for me to know it’s out there. This stuff is out there for everybody. So if you’ve been arrested, they will lend you money to start a business. Okay, second chance. Pay your debt to society. You’re a good person. Did you learn your lesson? Yeah. Okay, well, here’s 25 grand. You know what I mean? That would be the difference of starting everything. But what you need to do is not have hyperbole. We’re the best sandwich shop. You know, we do this better than anybody else.

You need to be explicit and quick. You need to explain what you do, why you need to get the money in less than a minute so that people would go Oh, that makes sense. You know, doesn’t matter what you do, the money is out there. But I just kept looking for this stuff. And Cook County Small Business Source has all these different programs. You know, Governor Pritzker Pritzker, you know, he’s done a lot for the state of Illinois to make sure that small business grants are there. And it’s not just for minorities, it’s for everybody.

So small business grants for 2025. Free money for your business. Start it now. Okay. 20 grants for black women. Come on, guys. You know, insane. This is money is there right now. Now, first things first. Do not pay for any of these. Some of these programs may have a $10 application fee, things like that. Limit it. Limit it to $25. That’s the most. Don’t pay for these programs. You don’t have to. They are free. They are free. And if you if you put pen to paper and you do research, you will find these.

Okay. How to get a small business grant for your startup. Okay. I mentioned that Montpelier. Okay. All these places that are out there have these programs. But the idea with it right now is you just got to look for these. Use the links below. Do some research. Start with the state that you’re in. Okay. I’m in Texas, Dan. Okay. Let’s start with Texas. Then go down to the county that you’re in and look at the county and search for the county for grant programs in your county. You don’t get anything there.

Go to the city that you’re in. Small business grants for the city that you’re in. Look at the industry that you’re in. Look at industry magazines that you’re in. And again, Dan, I’m not in business. It’s just me and the cat. Well, go to those programs I talked about. The Find Health, the 211. Programs like that have free money that will benefit you. The point is is that you need to sit down and you need to put your bills together. I haven’t paid my electric bill down in almost four months.

I put this stuff together so that if you get somebody on the phone and they start talking about these programs, you can justify it in such a way that they can approve you. Now, I have seen so many people that I’ve sent this money that I’ve sent these programs to and they’ve paid their electric bill. They’ve paid the gas bill. You know, car payments. I’ve seen everything, guys. Seen absolutely everything. Sometimes you just need to break. But have a plan. Be thorough. You have to search.

No one’s just going to search and dump it in your lap. You know, my here’s my favorite one this last week. You know, they wanted my ID, Dan. They wanted personal information for me to apply for that grant. I’m like, well, yeah, who are you? You know, I don’t even know who you are. Well, they wanted like my driver’s license. Who? Why would they ask for something like that? No, they’re just going to write you a check for five grant without personal information. Come on. Come on.
