I’ll tell you why here as I would go on. Now they’re accusing Glock, the company, of fueling the violence that’s tearing apart communities. It is not the individual criminals who will never follow a law, it has to be the inanimate object, and in this case the people who make that inanimate object. All right, in a bold move, Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, like I said, they filed a lawsuit against Glock claiming the company is responsible for surge in gun violence. Their accusation? Well, that’s easy for them. They say that Glock has contributed to an increasingly dangerous situation by designing pistols that are easily modified into fully automatic weapons. Well, here’s a news flash for you bozos. Every gun that is semi-automatic can be modified to fire fully automatic, but that’s already illegal, and you all don’t do your jobs. Ah, it’s crazy.

They say that Glock is the reason, or one of the reasons that crime is spiraling out of control in Baltimore. Has nothing to do with the failed, the proven to be failing Democrat run city policies. No, it’s Glock. Since 1990 Glock has been manufacturing a pistol that critics say can be converted into a machine gun. The Glock switch, the small device that modifies the semi-automatic pistol to fire full auto, of course, that’s what we’re talking about here. And Mayor Brandon Scott in Baltimore says that this is a growing threat. And to be fair, like I said, almost any gun can be converted to shoot full auto.

It’s already a federal offense to do that. So, you know, it’s the old case of criminals not following the law. So let’s make a new law and hope the criminals follow that one. Oh wait, we’ll make another one after that, and it just keeps perpetuating. Now Mayor Scott said, quote, these attachments used primarily on Glock weapons and ghost guns are turning basic firearms into illegal automatic machine guns, firearms that can shoot as fast, if not faster than military issued weapons. Baltimore police commissioner Richard Worley reported that the number of Glock switches recovered by the police have nearly doubled from 2023 to 2024.

And 23, he says 35 Glock switches were seized. And just one year later, that number jumped to 65. That shows me, someone who did that job for over two and a half decades, that you’re not being tough on crime, that you’re soft on crime, slap them on the wrist, policy isn’t frigging working. But I’m sorry, but yeah, it’s the manufacturer of Glock, obviously. Now, according to the police, 70% of the people arrested with these modified weapons were prohibited purchasers of firearms in the first place. You don’t say, criminals skirting the law.

Wow, that’s pretty freaking novel. So obviously, it’s Glock’s fault here, shocker. Now they claim Glock’s modified with these switches can fire an incredible 1200 rounds per minute, except they’re in like 10, 15, or slightly larger magazines, so it doesn’t do that. Now, Attorney General Anthony Brown called it spray and prey, and he said once the trigger is pulled, there’s no stopping it, just chaos and destruction. And Glock, according to Brown, has known about this issue for years and has done nothing to stop it. That’s because it’s your job. You’re supposed to hold criminals accountable, not a manufacturer.

It’s not on Ford to stop drunk driving. It’s on you asshats. Now, Attorney General Brown said, these weapons can be used in carjackings, drug deals, and violent crimes with no way to control the devastation they cause. Glock could have made a safer product, but instead they chose not to. Here’s another thing that this ass clown didn’t say. There are many, many, many, many more Glocks in hands of people who do nothing wrong than criminals, but they wouldn’t know because they don’t go after criminals. So, let’s look at this like a business here.

Glock should change their entire product line that they’ve ever made to the tune of hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars because Baltimore, Maryland, and every other soft-on-crime Democrat-run city coddles criminals rather than getting tough on crime and forcing accountability. Makes total sense if you’re a complete idiot. Now, in response to this crisis, the lawsuit demands something bold. They’re asking for a court to stop Glock from manufacturing and selling its pistols in Maryland. Well, that doesn’t violate the Second Amendment at all. But that’s not all. The lawsuit also demands that Glock implement safety measures to prevent these modifications in the future.

Something they say that the company has refused to do despite knowing how easy it is to if you know what you’re doing. But again, that’s already a felony. That’ll automatically get you a lot of time in jail if you, the sheriffs, the chiefs, the police, and the mayors and the governors actually hold people accountable. Because the people who aren’t violating the law, we’re not the problem, yet you want to take our stuff from us. Now, according to executive director Eric Tershwell of Everytown Law, Glock is partly to blame because of how they’ve marketed these pistols, even promoting their ability to be modified into full-auto machines.

I can’t remember, honestly, cannot remember one marketing piece of material that says that. If you remember one, put it in the description below. He said Glock designed these weapons, they promoted these full-auto capabilities, and now they refuse to take responsibility for the havoc it’s causing. No, it’s the criminals causing it. We’ve already done stories here where the ATF says that there are almost three quarters of a million machine guns lawfully owned in this country, 750,000 plus, and they’re not the problem. If there were 750,000 problems out there, we would all know about it.

Nope, just the Democrat run policy, you know, in the cities, that’s all. Now, this lawsuit could set a precedent that changes things in the gun industry. It’s the first of its kind under Maryland’s new Gun Industry Accountability Act, and this law was passed last year in 24 and aims to hold companies responsible for knowingly selling products that contribute to harm. So, I’m sure they’re suing all auto manufacturers, uh, fork makers, knife makers, helicopters, airplanes, everything, because everything can contribute to harm. Literally everything. And this isn’t just the only case of this. There have been lawsuits very similar to this filed in New Jersey and Minnesota, and we know that New York has gone after people for their public nuisance law.

California’s doing this stuff as well. Is this the beginning of a nationwide attack on the gun industry? Yeah, if you ask me, absolutely it is. Now, one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a fight that impacts all of us. So, it would be smart for all of us to get on the same page and push forward.
