Summary

➡ Los Angeles has been hit by multiple fires, destroying thousands of structures and over 25,000 acres of land. The situation was worsened by budget cuts to firefighting services, which reduced their ability to manage the fires effectively. The mayor of Los Angeles has been criticized for being absent during the crisis and for her ineffective communication via Twitter. The lack of rain and strong winds have also contributed to the severity of the fires.

Hey, it’s Dan. Welcome back. This is iAllegedly, and I’ve got a good one for you today because L.A. is on fire, and this could have been stopped, guys. It really could have. Please hit the like button. Please subscribe to the channel, but let’s get right into it. Los Angeles, for the last two days, has been on fire, and you’ve had a total of five fires that have been knocked down to three right now, and you have well over 25,000 acres that have burned, and thousands of structures, and it has absolutely destroyed some of the wealthiest real estate in all of Southern California.

Now, the thing about this that is absolutely crazy is that California has done things to make it more difficult for the firefighters, and I know two active duty firefighters right now that are working that are with L.A. County that are dealing with this right now, and, you know, the L.A. Mayor cut the budget for firefighting by almost $18 million. That we know of. Supposedly, it’s been more. Now, the problem with this is that these budget cuts have taken away from everything, every aspect of this. Clearing brush, you know, overtime. You’ve heard that.

We talked about this two months ago about how there was no more overtime for firefighters right now. It is just they’ve taken it away, and it’s ridiculous. You know, the mayor of Los Angeles, not even in Los Angeles, she was in Ghana during this time, the African country Ghana. Yes, yes, yes, yes. And her office during the press conferences here in Southern California was like, don’t worry, she’s been tweeting back and forth. I want you to tell me how many people in this audience watch Twitter. How many of you sit there, get up and go through a newsfeed on X? That’s the platform.

That’s what they call it now. None of us do that. I don’t even do that. I have somebody that does that for me, that I pay to do that. Point is, is that I have a friend of mine who’s an attorney, who’s so politically charged and so into this stuff, but he knows, don’t send me something. Oh my gosh, I sent you a message on X. Great. You might as well yell it, you know, in a hole because I’m never gonna see it. So the point of this is that these tweets that this woman, the mayor of Los Angeles is tweeting you.

Do you want to get that? Don’t you feel safe knowing that? She finally arrives back last night and does a press conference like all as well. This is just, insert profanity here, guys. It’s ridiculous. It’s absolutely ridiculous. You’re going to see, they’re going, is going to be hell to pay for this one because this isn’t a bunch of peasants that lost their homes. This is some of the wealthiest real estate from athletes to actors, to business people, to tech people, to people that have been legacy families that have been there forever that have nothing, nothing.

And when you see real estate that is five to 15 million dollars and on up, that just got burnt to the ground. When you see grocery stores get burnt down to the ground and you don’t do anything about that, it’s ridiculous. How about this? Department of Water and Power ran out of water. There was, they were dry. It was turn on the faucet. No water coming out. But you’ve got the side of the hill, got a water tower there that is full of water. But your fire hydrant’s empty and your house is burning.

The poor pleas from people that were on the local news talking about how, oh my God, please save my house. We went back to see if we could get anything out for my kids and my house is still standing, but the house is on both sides of us are burning. We need a firefighter there. Sorry, there’s nothing we can do. People got so freaked out coming down the hill and when you look over there, so you really can’t tell, just see the haze? That’s all the LA fires. People were so freaked out coming down the hill from the Palisades, which is each Malibu, the Palisades.

Okay, that’s where this is at. And one thing that experts have predicted forever and a day is that if you had the right environment and the right climate, you could basically burn from the mountains all the way to the ocean. That’s what’s happening right now. Now, the crazy thing about this is this some man-made thing. It’s just, this is what they call Santa Ana winds. Those winds blaring like that, this is nice. I can film outside right here. I couldn’t film outside in 75 mile an hour winds yesterday. Friends that couldn’t travel to California because it was too windy.

Trucks that couldn’t go over the Cajon Pass, which is the area between in San Bernardino County that separates San Bernardino Riverside to the Victorville area towards Las Vegas, couldn’t travel because fear that the tractor trailers would fall over. That’s how bad the winds were here. The other thing to think about is last year at this time, this time in our rain season, we have 16 inches of rain this year. Right now it’s in immeasurable. They say that there’s no measurement that we have for rain. Less than one tenth of one percent this year.

So there’s been no rain. So everything is dry. Everything is just ablaze. You can blame it on the climate. You can blame it on anything you want. The point is is that the firefighters were told to stand down and not have overtime and things like that. Now my friend’s son, I think he’s on his third station right now, and they’ve moved him. Hey, you’re gonna be the reliever. You know, young guy, I’ll be 30. So you’re gonna go station to station to station and relieve people. People that have been on for basically a day and a half that need a break, need to sleep.

You got to go fill in here. You got to go fill in there. So that’s what he’s been doing. My other friend in LA County is just, it’s all hands on deck. No stopping. But this is crazy. And because the fires are so bad, they may be moving people from Los Angeles to the Palisades and the Silmar fire that’s burning right now. But again, politicians, you know, are trying to say that everything was done that could have been done and it’s not. Department of Water and Power, it’s ridiculous guys, that you run out of water.

It’s and you have no water coming out. Who do you sue for that? Seriously, who do you sue for that? Now, the things that I want you guys to remember as we talk about this, because it’s a financial business channel, you have to be prepared. When was the last time you looked at your homeowners policy? Want to know who’s giddy today? Who’s laughing their ass off right now? State Farm, because State Farm stopped writing policies in California. So you know what their losses are? Nothing new. Just the existing inventory of policies that they had that they’ve charged people to the moon and beyond.

So that’s what they have to look forward to. This is horrible. This is absolutely awful. I have seen so many people get interviewed on the news right now, talking about how, yeah, we decided to go without homeowners, without a homeless fire policy. How do you do that with a mortgage on your home? How do you do that? Well, some of these houses are paid for because grandma paid for it way back when, and all they have to do is pay the taxes and maintain the house. But, you know what, pesky fire insurance.

This disaster that’s happening right now before our eyes is going to make your insurance go up wherever you live. It doesn’t matter. In the United States, it’s gonna go up because of this disaster. That’s gonna be their excuse, and it has nothing to do with you. So mark my words, guys, gonna see a huge increase. But there was a ton of people that talked about how they went uninsured during this time. Did you imagine that? Now, think about this. The uninsured people that have no insurance, they’re finished. They’re bankrupt. If they have a mortgage on that place, hey, the first of February is gonna roll around real quick.

Make sure that payment’s here. Remember, it’s the link one on the 15th. People, I’ve had people say, you know, I’ve totaled my car and I didn’t have to make a car payment. Yeah, because you had auto insurance, moron. And the difference is, when you don’t have insurance on your house, you’re finished. You’re done. You are done. These poor people, Hurricane Helene, Hurricane Milton, you know, people are telling me this is our Katrina here in California. This is going to be something that will take decades to fix. You will have houses that were built on these hills that people had forever.

And again, rich people with their guest, oh my God, the guest house burnt and the second garage burnt down with the Mercedes in it. And we saw a guy, and my daughter is talking about this, and it’s like, oh my gosh, Dad, I can’t believe this. This is what’s wrong with people like this, is that they think we all sit there and live and we’re all loaded and have a guest house in a Mercedes and all this stuff. Now, my daughter lives in the car. Do I evacuate? Do I not evacuate? Am I safe? Am I not safe? Well, what it got down to was when she was walking the dog today, she sends me a video of raining ash and her walking the dog.

Honey, get over here. What are you doing? Get out of there while you still can. So she drove to the house. She’s safe. The dog is safe. And oh, that’s good. But I’m telling you guys, you’re going to see these politicians that are going to have hell to pay. There is a great video of Gavin Newsom talking about the new administration and how it’s great to have somebody that believes in us, and we’re gonna solve this fire problem. No brush was cleared. Nothing was done to prevent these problems. It didn’t rain.

You guys talk about the climate. You guys talk about, you know, how it’s too dry. We got to fix this. Nothing was fixed. Nothing was fixed. But your mayor in Los Angeles was in Ghana. Ghana. What is the mayor doing in an African country? Oh, I’m, you know, building international awareness and promoting business in Los Angeles, in Ghana. Okay? I mean, come on, guys. It’s ridiculous now. So mark my words, guys. Hell to pay. You haven’t seen anything yet. The wind is not slowing down yet. You can just sit there and see as I walk through this rich neighborhood.

This type of neighborhood is what you have in the neighborhood, like this. This would be kindling in a fire. And the problem with it is that people don’t want to look at this. People don’t want to sit there and acknowledge this. And I mean, just crazy. Just crazy. But, you know, Department of Water and Power, who’s gonna get sued over there? You know, you’re gonna fire somebody? Is Karen Bass finally gonna get fired? Rick Caruso was a man that ran against Karen Bass, who’s an incredible, I think he’s a billionaire, he’s incredibly successful, real estate magnate who’s built shopping centers and hotels and office buildings and just very incredibly successful.

He was on the, you know, live, getting interviewed from his house and there’s no water here. My daughter’s house got burnt down to the ground. Where is our mayor right now? Think about this, guys. 23 billion dollars worth of money for the homeless. And I guarantee you, there’s people sleeping in the streets tonight in Los Angeles. What are you gonna do? Seriously, the older I get, you know, you just, you know, you’re, you know, people, you’re showing your political side. Am I? That I care about humanity? That I think about all these people that when we saw the Aldi store burning down to the ground.

Now, the newscaster said, well, Aldi’s a big company. They’ll survive this. I’m thinking you have no clue how difficult it is. What about all the people that work there? What about all the inventory that’s been lost? What about the millions of dollars worth of merchandise inside these stores that are burning down? I saw a Bank of America burned down today. Is that crazy, guys? What are you gonna do? Seriously, what are you gonna do? Prepare yourself. What do you do? You know, my daughter, God love her. Because every now and then, you know, my kids, dad, you’re stupid, you don’t know everything, you know, that’s that stuff.

She shows up with two crates of all her important documents. And she goes, I got it all. This is what you were talking about, right? All the stuff that she ignored me for. Do you understand? Like, oh, dad had it all ready, pulled it out and could go. Do you have that? Mid-20s woman had that, okay, all set up. Do you know where your important documents are? Do you have all the phone numbers written down if your phones got destroyed during this time? How about all the people with the electric cars that could not charge them? Because there are 300,000 people, 300,000 homes, I’m sorry, without power right now.

300,000. Huh, that’s a concern. Yeah, it should be, guys. So, this fire, Kevin, it’s not done yet. It will take days for it to be put out. And as long as this wind is blowing, it’s going to be a problem. So, let me know what you think about this. Email me at hello at ilegily.com. This is the beginning, okay? And try to get up there, try to get close by, stay away. I know. It’s just nuts right now. So, let me know what you think about this. These politicians need to be accountable.

End of story. Let me know what you think. Like, subscribe, yell at me. I don’t care. Write me, okay? I’ll see you soon. [tr:trw].
