Even panikins know trade negotiations take time, and so far, America loves what it’s seeing. The right direction number has been the sleeper hit. It’s been setting records left and right. For the first time in our polling history, a majority of the electorate says the country’s headed in the right direction. Absolutely stunning. Hey gang, it’s me, Dr. Steve, coming to you once again from Las Vegas. I’m here at the Bitcoin conference, but we’ve also been hanging out at the Trump International Hotel here in Vegas, and last night we ran into actor James Woods, as well as the future prime minister of Britain, Nigel Farage.

It’s really cool. It’s very much just like, I don’t know, it’s kind of like Hollywood or something, just hanging out. I felt like Lucille Ball, you know, just hanging out in a restaurant and bumping into all these stars kind of thing. It was really cool, and to make it even cooler when chatting with James Woods, I had a fan come up to say, hey, Dr. Steve, so it was just, it’s just so amazing. We could not possibly be in higher spirits right now. Everyone is so excited. Really, seriously, hanging out at a Trump International Hotel is almost just like hanging out in like the after party of a MAGA rally.

And I mean, people just could not possibly be more excited and for good reason, as you just saw. Jesse Waters just highlighted our good friend, Mark Mitchell, over at Rasmussen, and his latest polling. Mark was one of the single most accurate pollsters of 2024. And as far as Mark is concerned, Trump has just, he has just made history yet once again. His right track polling has been hitting records left and right. His right track polling is the highest that Rasmussen has ever seen in over two decades of tracking American sentiments of whether or not the nation is on the right direction.

Trump is now at 50% for right track polling. We have not, again, have not seen that. It’s about double what it was at this time last year. A clear majority now believe that the nation is moving in the right direction. At the same time, Rasmussen found that Trump is enjoying a very solid 53% approval that actually corroborates Democracy Institute. That’s Patrick Boschon’s organization. They have him at 52%. With every story, ground news shows you exactly who’s covering it, where the outlets fall politically, how reliably the reporting has been, and even who owns them.

There is a very clear super majority now that support the vast majority of Trump’s policies. We’re seeing super majority numbers. We’re talking now 80% plus support for border security, for mass deportations. We’re seeing comparable support for energy independence. We’re seeing comparable support for bringing manufacturing and industry back.

People like Doge. They like the cutting of the waste, fraud, and abuse. Obviously, people like the idea of making tax cuts permanent. They love the idea of ending wokeness once and for all and destroying the AI. This is the new American consensus. This is the America first consensus that was always there. We originally saw it in some polling that was done back in 2018, a major survey that was done on Americans attitudes towards certain policies without saying what they were and what politician was putting them forward. Basically, what we found is, again, 70%, 80% of the public supported precisely these kinds of border security, economic security, and cultural security measures.

Trump, in one sense, is really just riding this 80-20 tailwind, as it were. I think these policies get implemented. His approval ratings and the right track, wrong track numbers are only going to continue to increase. These numbers are absolutely huge. I do believe that they have two overall political effects, a long-term effect and a short-term effect. The short-term effect is that these numbers, you can be assured, are going to give Trump the best big beautiful bill he could possibly hope for. It just passed by one vote in the House and it’s now being considered by the Senate.

They’re in recess now. They should be back, I think, June 1st. The Republican Party is inherently dysfunctional. We talk about this a lot. They’re dysfunctional in a way that the Democrats are not because they’re split. Half the Republican Party wants to cut spending. The other half wants to increase it. Half the Republican Party wants to shrink government. The other half wants to grow it. But who would have ever believed that it would be the Senate Republicans that would be the ones that wanted to institute permanent doge spending cuts? I mean, again, to their credit, our debt crisis just simply can’t be sustained.

We’re $30 trillion in debt, $2 trillion in annual deficits. It’s going to have to be dealt with. And to their credit, you’ve got Senate Republicans saying we’re going to have to deal with this. Now, with these new poll numbers coming out, with record numbers of support for right track and for Trump’s approval, you could be sure we’re going to get the best big, beautiful bill possible in these negotiations. Again, what’s key here is Republicans are dysfunctional, but they’re not suicidal. Republicans are dysfunctional, but they’re not suicidal. They know they have to produce a bill and a good one.

And with these numbers, that’s going to happen. Also, at the same time, you’ve got this insane latest example of activist courts. This is the U.S. Court of International Trade. They just ruled that Trump’s tariffs are illegal. I mean, you literally cannot make this stuff up. They just said that Trump’s tariffs are illegal, that tariffs are a legislative issue, not an executive one. I mean, this is obviously absurd. The Trade Act of 1974 could not possibly be clearer. The president can indeed impose tariffs on a foreign country that foreign country is deemed to no longer be playing fair.

Again, it’s all part of national security, economic security, and the like. This is obviously going to be overturned. I don’t think this will even make it to the Supreme Court, but it is yet again another example of this judicial crew that we see that’s basically doing their darnedest to try to slow down Trump’s executive tour de force in his orders there. But in terms of the effect of this polling, it’s going to give Trump the political cover he needs to basically tell these courts to stick it. The vast majority of the country is behind him in what he’s doing.

And so if he has that kind of political security at his back, as it were, then he’s going to have precisely the kind of political cover he needs to just basically tell these courts where to stick it. So I think those are the two sort of near term effects that you’re going to see. You’re going to see a big beautiful bill on Trump’s desk. He’s going to sign it. It’s going to even help make the economy explode all the more. Sorry. As I look at Mel Torme way here, I could probably take a left.

Yeah. And at the same time, it’s giving him these polls are giving him the political cover to basically tell courts where to stick it. But in terms of the long term effects, you guys know this. If you’ve been with the channel now for some time, the long-term effects of this polling is that what are the two most accurate predictive indicators for determining how a midterm is going to turn out? Who remembers, right? Put it in the comments. You know it. Right track, wrong track polling and presidential approval. These very two polling verticals, as it were, are precisely the most accurate predictors of how midterms turn out.

And President Trump is absolutely crushing it in both of them. We’ve got record number right track polling that not even Obama was able to, obviously not. And Trump is a solid mid fifties in a number of the polling outlets that were the most accurate of 2024. Again, pay no attention whatsoever to the propaganda polling given to us by like ABC and Washington Post and Morning Compost and all the life that told us that Kamala was going to win in a landslide. Pay no attention that they are literally paid propagandists. And so long term here, we’re seeing the beginnings of what may indeed be a historic midterm as well.

Again, keep in mind Trump did that in 2018. He was only one of five presidents who saw their party gain seats in the Senate in the midterms. So he’s already riding high on that in terms of precedent now with these numbers. And he would have killed for numbers like this back in Trump 1.0 in his first term with these new numbers coming out and with the big, beautiful bill getting passed and him signing into law and the tax cuts flourishing and the spending cuts and all kinds of deregulation for small businesses so that we can get a Reagan-like financial flourishing and explosion, unleash the productive energies of the country like never before.

And it was speaking of energy costs going down and record rates. If you put all of that together, we are looking at the possibility of one of the most extraordinary upsets as it were given the historical precedent in the upcoming midterms. So these numbers are huge, both short term and long term. And if Trump delivers, if the Congress, I should say delivers and gives him that big, beautiful bill, he signs it and then we start to see an economic might unleashed like never before. These numbers are only going to continue to go up, which means that the Democrats prospects for returning power look dimmer by the day.
