Okay Donald Trump has talked about getting rid of the IRS and they’re having meetings about this This is not just pie in the sky smoke and mirrors nonsense, but Wouldn’t that be wild guys to abolish the IRS now? Here’s the thing there are people Steve Forbes whose father Malcolm Forbes started Forbes magazine Has been an investor forever and when he ran for president I think it was once say back to 96 or 92 and he ran for president. He talked about having a simple form One page it would be basically at the size of a postcard that you would take your income And then you would take a certain percentage of what that income was and that would be sent in It would be that simple your taxes could be figured out on a postcard and it could be done in five minutes It would abolish accounting.

It would abolish all the southern other need for everything else and What doge has taught us and I’m on Ruby Park on Ruby Street. It’s a nice little park there You can sit at that’s got benches here. Anyways What this would do is it would eliminate all the infrastructure so many people have had grief from the IRS and from trying to figure out their taxes even my my you know 23 year old son is like, oh, how do I do it? And do I want to use turbo tax? No, no, no We’re gonna give you an accountant and have it done right so you don’t make a mistake Well, don’t you know how to do this? Yeah, I know how to do it.

And that’s why hire somebody else I’m not stupid But the complexity of the tax system is just that for those of you that ever tangled with the IRS You know what I’m talking about. But the idea with this is that if they got rid of this administration in a bloated area of our economy Would this make a huge difference with everybody? I say yes, but how would you replace it? one area of potential would be Having a national sales tax the idea of the national sales tax is it would make it so that you could go out and For everything that you purchased you’d have basically I’ve seen all these different numbers 5% 1% All these different figures tacked on the 1% seems most logical and I’ve seen a lot of economists and People that were kookaburra ish come up with that figure But if everything had a 1% tack on it, it would eliminate all this fraud You would still have your tariffs you would still have foreign governments paying their fair share to come do business with us But that would be that would be it now They’re having meetings with the IRS right now late last week This week, they’re going to have more meetings with them.

But again Will they get rid of all these people who knows the 87,000 agents that Joe Biden hired to scare the hell out of all of us Could be transferred to other locations and again We don’t know what the fallout is going to be from the layoffs that they’ve had and if there’s going to be more layoffs So with that being said You know who knows where it’s at. The next thing is property taxes Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has tweeted out exed out Sent out, you know potential where he’s had a lot of people comment to him just say why don’t we get rid of our state property tax and He’s contemplating this and if you read the story below It’s kind of fascinating because the property taxes in Florida are not a state tax it’s a local tax and This would save people a fortune right now, Florida’s got such a problem with Real estate right now with the taxes with the insurance with the assessments for You know improvements.

It’s just people can’t afford it and You know a great story from one woman talking about how Wow, I thought this is crazy And then I started reading it and it’s getting more and more serious right now as they talk about this that it Maybe something that could be realistic in the future it now Here’s the thing to change taxes like that. It would take 60% of their state government to vote for it So like all good governments you have both sides to it that would say no we can’t do this But it would be fascinating to have this conversation.

That’s the point of this is this this conversation How do you replace the IRS with and I’m not talking about just screaming. I’m talking about a legitimate way to get rid of this so that You know you can go out and Run a country still and make it so that you can make money, but would that free people up? You know if you just got rid of the federal taxes, okay? You know that would free people up. I’m getting people riding me saying hey Dan There’s no you know no tax on tips.

It’s still there no tax and overtime is still but these are Senate bills that have already been submitted and I’ll get the numbers for you guys, and I’ll try to get links for you below But the idea with this is that you have people that are freaking out in there You know I want the price of eggs to go down to you know a dollar today I want gas to be 50 cents it takes time for any of this stuff guys It really does, but the Senate bills. They’ve already got them in progress They’ve been in progress for almost a month now since he got into office, so Let me know what you think about this is it crazy? I saw a great interview with him where he was talking about the You know the incentives and the rebates and all the money that you could get from buying an EV car And he says it’s not important to him. We build the best car that there is out there and people buy it without those Rebates, that’s a bold statement. But again, Nikola is not banking on that at all. So With that being said, you know, they’re done Tesla’s still around Ford’s gonna lose 15 billion dollars by the end of next year and and that’s that now The next one is housing starts was announced late last week that housing starts in January took a big dive now you can sit there and say oh Dan.

This is because of the fires in LA That’s one area of the country guys Housing’s got a problem guys. You’ve got high interest rate. Everything’s too expensive and You’ve got inventory that people are not talking about You have banks that own houses now that are starting to have problems and they’re starting to go after those banks My friends that do the foreclosures having dinner with them tonight and they’re both doing options today Boy, are we busy Dan? It’s crazy right now. How busy we are. Okay. Well, where’s that coming from guys out of thin air? No, it’s not You know, where do you draw the line with this stuff? Jamie Dimon, you know the the employees at Chase are doubling down I mean isn’t like the story that will never know we don’t want to go back to the office Why do we have to go back to the office?
