You have a driver and a copilot. Now imagine smashing into a jumping cactus tree while driving and you still have to make it to your pit stop.

These are excruciatingly painful cacti and they will go straight into your bones and they are tough to get out. That’s a sticky situation. But with those out of the way, let’s take a look at a couple of off-road wins. 100% W’s all day, every day. And I’m even going to throw a big block in here just for fun. No pun intended. This next example shows that you can do everything right but still things can go horribly wrong. Imagine you’re on Black Bear Pass in Colorado, United States of America. You’re in a Jeep, maybe it’s a rental, maybe it’s yours, you’re minding your own business, you’re cruising along on the trail.

And then suddenly, this happens. A Jeep just simply falls out of the sky just missing your truck. This was not choreographed, this was not staged. This guy was driving along with a trail camera like many of us do. And somebody’s dog had hit the emergency brake in their parked Jeep up above sending the Jeep cascading down Black Bear Pass just missing this guy. Fortunately, nobody was hurt or killed. Some feelings were hurt, some people were hurt. But it is what it is. Always keep your head on the swivel. Do not drink and drive. JMO. Okay, pause the video and leave a comment.

What do you think is going to happen right here? Is he going to make it or is he going to flip the truck over? Come on! Let’s go! Yeah! This spot’s called Devil’s Curve. Let’s see what happens when people take passenger cars down it. What could go wrong? Whoa! Over the past century, female drivers have really made their mark. They went from being women that you did not want to drive with whatsoever at all, to women that could handle the biggest, most complicated trucks and military equipment on earth.

But this woman right here in this rally driving, she takes the cake all day. I couldn’t help but think that that guy kept telling her to roll up the window. At any rate, water crossings are amazing, but they always escalate. You start with crossing a small brook, then it turns into a stream, and then eventually you find yourself crossing a really large river, and things can get hectic. But if you know what you’re doing, it usually goes really well. Know the distance, know the depth, and know the speed of the truck. But some people don’t keep those things in mind whatsoever at all, and comedy and hydrolock always follow.

No, we’re getting wet down here. No, no, no, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait. You got it. Two left. One left. One left. One left. You’re back. So with the many people that find themselves in really rough condition crossing a river only to destroy their vehicle, some other people, it’s part of the game. These guys are rally racing right now and they’re just crossing a river. As you can see they’re basically at eye level. They just handle it. There are ways to cross rivers. A diesel and a snorkel will definitely help you but far too many times people take their brand new vehicles into the water and all hell breaks loose.

Okay that’s pretty much enough of the water crossings for now. Let’s head over to the rock crawling section of the world and see how these boys are holding up. Are we gonna have wins or fails?
