And I was, after following up, and so did several other people I was with. We were all told that, yes, the president did sign the commission to make it official, and it was, that post was up for about three hours, publicly. A lot of people responded, I mean, Brandon Herrera even responded and said that he fully, if, if Cash Patel did dismember the agency limb by limb, then he fully supported it. And immediately, a lot of us were like, is that possible? Can someone be the head of the FBI and the ATF? Does that mean they’re going to combine them and make one giant federal police agency? You know, what’s the, the bad thing about that is what happens when a Democrat president or Congress is in control, that they use this new two-headed monster as a superpower against gun owners.
It was a whole bunch of things going through our minds. And, you know, we’re at dinner debating a lot of this stuff. And then the post was removed. It was deleted. Don’t know why, but it was deleted. But so many people saw the post. It’s out there. Cash Patel was named, and officially the commission was signed by the president, that he was the, he’s the ATF director. Now, some other things that we were able to learn last night is that the belief is, and this isn’t an official accord, but people who are in the, in the known Capitol Hill, and I’m trying to protect names, but the belief is that it will still be two separate entities with Cash being like an acting director, I guess, to get some stuff done.
Now that the 30-day window for President Trump’s executive order for the Second Amendment is coming closer to an end, that’s going to be done March 9th. So he’ll have somebody inside that can actually do what he’s going to tell them to do as far as removing some of the Biden infringements that the second, on the Second Amendment by the ATF in the last four years. And there’s all kinds of things that go with that as well. Rather than wait, you know, the flip side is to wait and have an appointee and have them go through the whole confirmation process that we’ve seen publicly how all of Trump’s picks have been just, you know, lambasted because they’re a Trump pick.
So that’s the news. Cash Patel was officially named as the new director of the ATF, and then the post was removed. So I’ll let you guys have the info. I’ll let you guys dwell on the info. In the comments down below, let’s have a conversation. What’s the good side of having, like right now, if Cash Patel is the head of both agencies, what’s the good side of that? And then let’s also have a comments, have some comments on the flip side. What’s the bad side of that? I think having one person in charge of both of those could ultimately be bad.
I don’t know if they’re going to be joining in the end or if this is the beginning of the end of the ATF. But when I learn more, I will let you know. So if you want to stay in the loop, subscribe to the channel down below, Guns and Gadgets, the premier source for Second Amendment News. Cash Patel, new director of the ATF and FBI. I’ll tell you, I’m here for it. I know Cash. I know he’s capable of doing great things. And as long as he does what he said he was going to do with the FBI, I have no reason to doubt we’ll do the similar destruction to the bureaucracy in the ATF.
I guess it, you know, we’ll have to see. But that’s your news for today. I hope you have a great day. I’ll see you in the next one. Take care. [tr:trw].
