Hey, everybody, real estate ninja. Here we are going to talk about how homeowners can prevent squatters from taking their homes. Isn’t it crazy that we’re absolutely, at this moment, this is absolutely nutball. And if you are preparing for harder times, guaranteed you’re going to do well. Why? Because things are getting nutty and they’re going to get a little bit nuttier. This story is out of Fox business. It says, how can homeowners prevent squatters? Experts share vital tips for defending your home because I guess that’s, that’s where we are now.
Amid a surge in stories of squatting whereby strangers move into the properties of american homeowners and refuse to leave, experts are re urging residents to enact measures that make it appear the vacant home is occupied to avoid costly legal proceedings, New York based real estate professional Jim Gray told Fox News Digital that he has seen firsthand how a squatting situation can escalate from a nuisance to a recurring nightmare for well intentioned homeowners.
In his opinion, the best offense is always a good defense. On day one, owners should establish clear signs of occupancy or develop security measures. This can include keeping the curtains drawn, irregularity, installing a smart home security system, and avoiding telltale signs of occupancy, like accumulations of trash or mail. Property owners Greg recommended may also want to consult local law enforcement to request periodic drive by patrols. Now, I’m going to tell you what you need to do.
Set up cameras on your doorstep, and then the second you get an alert on your phone, there’s an intruder. And we’re not talking squatters. Someone’s breaking into my home. You know, I mean, okay, this is the insanity of. This is the supposed real estate professional. Yeah. And he’s in New York. Yeah. Police. You know the guys. You’re still being defunded, right? Yeah, copy. Yeah. Can you do me a favor and just up the patrols around my house? What a moron.
But this is where we’re at. These are the professionals. These are the people that Fox News puts on. Like, he’s a professional. It’s just. Yeah, we’ve also got to defund the police situation and cops aren’t going. Yeah, right. We’re on it, buddy. You mean, you mean we’re gonna go and patrol for the immigrants that are beating us up? This is actually what’s happening. This is why you gotta get ready.
Hard times are coming and a bunch of morons are gonna lose all their crap because they’re morons. Sorry, I digress. But hash morons if you agree. Says here. Raleigh realty owner Ryan Fitzgerald told Fox News Digital the alarming trend of squatters occupying vacant properties poses a real risk to homeowners. Well, no duh. Again, we’re talking about a professional here. Fitzgerald said homeowners should put signs in windows, installed timers, interior lighting, and swing by the property at least bi weekly, if not more.
I agree with those. The faster you notice broken locks or a sign of traffic trespassing, the quicker you can react, he said. Unfortunately, even the most proactive homeowners can still find themselves scrambling for solutions should a squatter breach their property. Hey, I got an idea. Here’s the one thing I could guarantee you. None of these so called experts at Fox Business is telling you is going to tell you.
Rent the house. Get a legal tenant that has a real job in America and is paying taxes to rent your property. If you are freaking out, then rent it. Occupy it with someone you choose that is going to give you money. Dang. FoX News if there’s anyone watching from Fox News, you may want to have the ninja on it. Says here one of the most recent stories involved eight migrants who were arrested by the Department of Homeland Security in connection with squatting, drugs and gun violations at a New York City house.
A Dallas area woman also spoke out after a squatter allegedly trashed her home and sold her belongings while she was taking care of a family member in another state. That’s horrible. Fitzgerald urged property owners to take dated photos and videos showing unauthorized access and habitation and contact law enforcement to report illegal occupation. Officially. While cumbersome, Fitzgerald said legal eviction may be required to remove entrenched squatters who claim tenants rights.
Oh, let me see. Let me just keep going. Yeah. Nowhere does he say actually put a tenant in there. Weird. Wow. Here we go. Legally speaking. Cats. Whose cats? Cats. Cats. Cats, cats, cats. Stephen. Cats. An attorney focused on real estate litigation and experienced in eviction court. The court a pro. The court a property owner would go through to remove a squatter. Okay, he’s just talking about removing a squatter.
Okay. Not even the attorney tells you to just put an actual tenant in there. Wow, great notice. Okay. Crap. See, it’s all crap. That’s what’s going on in our world. The experts are idiots, but they’re highly esteemed and they have a degree from somewhere. Listen, the fact of the matter is things are getting nutty. They’re gonna get nuttier. If you have an empty house and you don’t want squatters in there, fill it.
Fill it with someone that will pay you rent, that works a job. And you know what’s even greater? You have the opportunity to get someone really cool in there and really do some good. Charge them lower rent. They’re gonna watch you over your place, and they’re gonna be super happy, and you’re blessing them. That’s how you actually stop this. I’m the economic ninja, and I am out. .
