But then I figured, you know what? That’s not fair. I got to drop some philosophical bars on people. This is New Year’s Day. This is when we commemorate that transition across this completely artificial meridian that human beings have drawn in the sand to signify the end of another solar cycle. So it is what it is. And here are the bars that I have to drop for you today, okay? You ready? You ready? I actually stole this from a song, but the passage is as follows. The days go slow. The years go fast.

The decades go faster. And this is the part I added. Your life flashes before your eyes right before you die. Isn’t that incredible how your entire life converges into one infinitesimally small moment right before you die? And that is why it’s important to not be so serious all the time. It’s important to have insurance and that’s all prepping is. But don’t waste your life ruminating on the end of the world. Leave that to me. That’s my job. Your job is to be somebody that I can vicariously live through while I’m getting drunk by myself and shooting fireworks at the kids tonight, okay? Just kidding.

Well, maybe not entirely kidding. I never get drunk anymore. I’m too old to get drunk. I fall asleep long before I ever get to have that much fun, unfortunately. But call a friend. Do something. Send somebody a message. Just reminisce. Try to extract some kind of life lesson from 2024 for better or for worse. It’s got to be worth something, right? So 2025 is going to be amazing if you focus on your health. I’ll tell you that right now. That is the cornerstone. That is the most important aspect of success is taking care of your health.

I’m not talking about New Year’s resolutions. New Year’s resolutions do not work. It starts now. It starts before midnight. You need to start doing what you know you need to be doing and then you’re going to get everything that you want in life, I assure you. Now, that presumes the lights are still going to be on come 2026. I’m surprised that I’m still having this conversation with myself. This parasocial exchange is still operational after what we’ve been through in 2024. And I guess that’s a testament to the resiliency of the system, perhaps.

Or it just means that there’s a lot of smart people who are still out there holding this thing together and it’s incredibly fragile because I know we’re not getting smarter as a society. That’s for damn sure. The only thing getting smarter right now is AI and that is very concerning, isn’t it? I’m going to do a 2025 predictions video, which I didn’t do, did I? I didn’t really do that. I’m going to do that tomorrow. Yeah, let’s do that tomorrow. We’ll do a longer form content about my predictions for 2025. But that’s about all I got, guys.

Just try to embrace the fact that we’re all in this together. For better, for worse, friend or foe, we’re all in this together. Even if I disagree with that guy about politics, hey, we’re all in the big rock that’s spinning in the endless void and there’s nothing we can do about it. We’re stuck in here together. So it is what it is. That’s all I got for you, really, in terms of philosophy anyways. Just, you know, things are going to be all right. It’s going to work out no matter what.

I’m sure of that. That’s one thing. If there’s one thing I’m sure of, it’s what Bob Marley said. He said, everything’s going to be all right. So, you know, smoke a fatty for him tonight or something or whatever it is you do to indulge. Anyways, guys, got to go.
