Summary
➡ The rise of alternative media platforms like YouTube and podcasts is changing the way we consume news, allowing us to bypass traditional media outlets. This shift is due to the increased accessibility of information online, which allows everyone to fact-check news sources. As a result, traditional media outlets are losing their monopoly over information and are struggling to survive. The future of news lies in independent content creators who prioritize truth over propaganda and build direct relationships with their audience.

What if I told you right now, as you’re watching this video, not just one but two of America’s most powerful media empires are literally imploding before our very eyes? It’s true. Stick me to the very end of this video because I’m going to show you exactly how we are witnessing the complete and total collapse of the legacy media complex in real time and how that same legacy media is doing everything they possibly can to hide from you just how catastrophic their collapse really is. Let me hit you with some facts that will blow your mind.
MSNBC’s prime time viewership has plummeted by an astonishing 53% since the election. They’ve gone from 1.3 million viewers to a pathetic 632,000. We get more views daily on this YouTube channel than MSNBC gets with their multi-billion dollar budget. But it actually gets worse. Thankfully for MSNBC, there’s another so-called news network that’s even more embarrassing. And that, of course, is CNN. They’ve lost nearly 50% of their prime time audience as well since November, over 30% during the course of this year of 2025. But that now means that they’re sitting at just 390,000 viewers.
One of our single videos can get more views than that. And here’s the real kicker. Here’s the real embarrassment. In their evening prime time coverage, these so-called major news networks are getting beaten by the Food Network. I mean, think about that. More Americans would rather watch someone cook dinner than listen to Anderson Cooper or circle back Saki lecture them about climate change. That’s not just a ratings decline. That’s a total cultural rejection. Meanwhile, Fox News is absolutely dominating with 2.63 million viewers on average per day. Why? Because they’re actually in touch with reality.
They give their viewers reality instead of lecturing them on pronouns. Now, here’s where it gets really juicy. Their respective parent companies, both Comcast and Warner Brothers Discovery, have basically said, we don’t want these failing networks anymore. We’re just going to spin them off into separate companies. So Comcast is creating something they’re calling spinco. How’s that for being subtle, right? Spinco to dump MSNBC and some of their other channels that aren’t making them any money anymore. Warner Brothers Discovery is doing the same thing, separating CNN, TNT, TBS, and their other cable properties into a global linear networks division.
Translation, these parent companies are cutting their losses and saying good luck surviving on your own. It’s like when your parents kick you out of the in losses. Now, here’s where the story gets absolutely delicious. And no, I’m not talking about the Food Network. The man Warner Brothers Discovery has chosen to oversee particularly the CNN bloodbath is a fellow by the name of Gunnar Weedenfels. Now, if you don’t know who that is, Weedenfels is the same financial executioner who axed the Batgirl movie fiasco again, you may not have heard of this because it never got released.
Warner Brothers Discovery had scheduled the rollout of a new Batgirl movie as their latest in the DC Comics movie series, but it was already getting such blowback for its alleged wokeness before it even opened. And Weedenfels came in and he was like, he completely axed it. And that’s because he isn’t some Hollywood insider worried about hurt feelings. He’s a German cost cutting machine who delivered $2 billion in cost savings in 2024 alone. And his job is very, very simple. Take a chainsaw like Javier Malay like chainsaw to everything that isn’t making money and gang guess who’s next on the block for this guy? CNN.
CNN is about to get chainsawed big time. They’ve already weathered over 200 layoffs at the beginning of the year and more are coming. Now, if you want to know why these networks are failing, just look at what they’re paying these clowns. I mean, financially, just think about what kind of disaster this is. Anderson Cooper. I kid you not. Anderson Cooper is pulling in $18 million a year. Isn’t he a Vanderbilt kid too? Stunning. Jake Tapper is getting $7.5 million. Caitlin Collins, the repulsive Caitlin freakin Collins is pulling in three to 4 million a year.
Dana Bash is making 3 million a year. These people are making more money in a year than most Americans will see in a lifetime. And then they have the audacity to lecture us every night about equity and income equality inequality, I should say. But you want to know the best part? The only person at CNN who’s getting a pay raise right now. Do you know who that is? Take a guess. The one and only Scott Jennings. That’s right. Their loan token conservative regularly destroys those overpaid liberal blowhards on live television every night.
And he’s getting a pay raise. He’s the only one. And that, I mean, you want to talk about some sweet irony right there. CNN itself knows that their loan conservative is basically the only reason why anyone still watches their network. Let that hit you. Even CNN recognizes that it is conservative voices that are keeping their network afloat, barely. So they’re throwing money at them while firing everyone else. Now, according to industry insiders, the real bloodbath is coming this fall. Once these networks are officially spun off from their parent companies, they’re going to have to survive on their actual revenue instead of being subsidized by more profitable divisions.
And that’s when you most likely see some of the big so-called talent take a hit here. That’s what happened to Joy Reid, Jim Acosta, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, and of course, most recently, Stephen Colbert and the canceling of the late night show. That specter is going to come for the wider CNN and MSNBC lineup. Now, if you’ve been following this channel for some time, and if not, make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button. We’d love to have you as a regular part of our online community. You’ll notice very quickly when you go into the comments section, this channel has the best community.
We got the best community on YouTube. You’re going to love it. But if you’ve been with us for some time, you’ll know precisely why this collapse was inevitable. We’ve been predicting it for years now. It’s not a matter of if the collapse of the legacy media is only a matter of when. And that’s because there are two overall converging dynamics playing out here. First and foremost, the legacy media made a fatal mistake that was absolutely devastating to their bottom line, to their business model. They embraced what’s called advocacy journalism, particularly during the Obama years.
In other words, the legacy media believed, you know, even though they were always biased, they believed they could completely abandon journalistic standards starting in the Obama years and become radical partisan activists. And somehow at the same time, they presume people would still trust them. So this is key because the business model in the legacy media, or just in news media in general, in any kind of commentary, even with me, the business model is based on trust. It’s based on the notion that we are delivering reliably accurate information to you that can pass the truth muster, right? The media was always supposed and always touted itself to be an objective mediator, hence the term media, an objective mediator of information, or at least a reliable mediator of information.
That was the business model. And what happened is that particularly during the Obama years, again, the media is always lean left, there’s all kinds of there’s been a number of studies on 20th century media that found from the beginning of the 20th century onward, it had this left wing tilt. Regardless, during the Obama years, they assumed they could actually completely abandon journalistic standards, the very standards that elicited the trust that they are reliable mediators of information. They could abandon those journalistic standards and become rabid partisan, left-wing partisan activists, and yet somehow people would still trust them.
We saw it, I mean, and then that went on steroids during Trump’s first term, it continued through the Biden years. And now, of course, Trump’s glorious second term, where they’re just all basically eating crow at this point, but they thought they could lecture half the country, call us deplorable, racist, fascist, and that we would just keep watching them, saying, yeah, I guess you’re right, since you’re the reliable mediators of information, I guess we are deplorables. They actually thought, again, that there was a certain kind of narcissism here, where they thought that they could convince the audience that stuck with them, that Biden’s economy was the greatest economy in the history of the Cosmos, that the southern border was absolutely and totally secure, more secure than even during Trump’s years, and that Kamala Harris was going to win in a landslide.
They honestly thought they could get away with supposedly reporting such things, and guess what? They didn’t. They didn’t. Their own audience has abandoned them two to one. They’ve left. Trust in legacy media has hit an all-time low, just 30% according to Gallup. So that’s the first dynamic, the assumption that they could embrace advocacy journalism, while at the same time believing that people would still trust them as objective journalists. Obviously, that was not going to happen. Obviously, advocacy journalism and objective journalism are mutually exclusive. They’re contradictory, so they can’t exist. Aristotle would say, contradictions are that which rocks dream about.
Just a very inventive way of saying it’s something that can’t possibly exist. But then that leads to the second dynamic that’s happening conjointly here, and that involves the rise of the alternative media, which has now become increasingly the new mainstream media. Elon likes to say that on X. You are the media now. What this means is that people aren’t just changing the channel. They are cord cutting entirely. More and more, they are cord cutting. They’re coming to platforms like YouTube, Rumble, X, to independent content creators and journalists, to podcasts, to places where they can actually get honest information, transparent information, be a part of the conversation.
That’s why I always say make sure you let us know what you think down in the comment section below. You are the media now, right? They can do all that without being talked down to. Without being talked down to by coastal elites who’ve never worked a real job in their lives. And the embarrassing truth in all of this is that while CNN and MSNBC fire hundreds of employees and beg for subscribers, independent content creators are building multi-million dollar businesses with nothing but a camera and the truth. Joe Rogan gets more viewers in a single podcast episode than these networks can get an entire week.
The beauty of what scholars call the network society, we talk about that a lot. Network is comprised of the internet and digital technologies. That network society enables independent content creators to bypass the gatekeepers of the legacy media in a manner comparable to how email and texting bypass the post office. While at the very same time, because of the network society, because of our digitality, because of our shared connectivity and the internet, information has been radically democratized. There was a time when legacy media outlets had a privileged access to information that we simply didn’t have.
And we had to go to them to get that information. They were once indispensable. So they once had a legit monopoly over information. Those days are over. Post internet, those days are over. We all now have the same access to the very same information that anyone at CNN or MSNBC has, which means that we’re all now in a position to fact check them. That’s so key to why they are dying. The people are now in a position to be able to fact check the self anointed fact checkers. And we’ve consistently found them to be wanting the legacy media gatekeepers are losing their grip and they’re terrified.
They can’t control the narrative anymore. 2024 proved that. They can’t decide what information you’re allowed to have. We, the people have spoken. We’re speaking with our wallets and we’re speaking with our attention. And we’ve chosen new media over the corrupt establishment press. Ultimately, this isn’t just about ratings or money. This really is about the future of information in America. We’re watching the final death throes of a system that was actually built to control what you think and how you vote. When CNN and MSNBC and MSNBC complete their collapse and make no mistake, they will collapse.
It will mark the end of an era. The era where three networks and handful of newspapers could decide what stories matter and what stories get buried. The future belongs to creators who build direct relationships with their audiences. You don’t have corporate overlords telling them what they can or cannot say who understand that their success depends on providing value instead of propaganda. Bottom line, the legacy media is dying because they deserve to die. They abandon their responsibility to inform the public and decided to become activists instead. They chose propaganda over truth, ideology over journalism and activism over accuracy.
The American people have rendered their verdict and it is devastating. These networks will either adapt or become irrelevant footnotes in media history. Based on what we’re seeing right now, I think we know which way this is going. The revolution in media isn’t coming. It’s already here. And we are winning. So what do you think? Let us know in the comment section below. Are you ready to celebrate the collapse of fake news media or do you think these networks can actually somehow save themselves? Let us know in the comment section below. And as always, don’t forget to smack that bell and subscribe button for breaking news and analysis.
