Let’s talk about the resistance. Let’s talk about the resistance. One of the people that are a part of the resistance is Bern E. Saunders. Bern E. Saunders. I wonder why these people never pull up the Fox News. But, Bern E. Saunders decided that he wanted to pull up the CNN. Oh, Elon Musk and Trump and billionaires and what they got to gain from it and all of this other type of stuff. And so, we want to show some of the people that are a part of the resistance because we don’t want to operate in an echo chamber.

We want to actually give some credence and opportunity for these other people to be able to say what they want to say when they want to say it. And Bernie Sanders is up first. Jasmine Crockett is up next. Let’s see what he had to say. When it comes to questions. Look at Ray Sean. Ray Sean, I might acknowledge that shortly. I got to focus, bro. You got to be unfocused right now. With all of that love. Administrator of Doge, actually. Do you believe that’s an important question to have the answer to? No. The issue is not who is technically the administrator who has the title.

Elon Musk is clearly running the show. The wealthiest person in the world who has enormous conflicts of interests, who is helping to fund right-wing extremist organizations all over the world, who is looking forward to get massive tax breaks from Congress. He’s running the show. So, if he’s technically, if he’s running the show but not on paper, as they essentially argue, but you say in practice, he basically is. You’re a co-equal branch of government as a senator on Capitol Hill. Are we? I kind of thought so, but I think you have to explain that to the president.

Do you feel that you have oversight when it comes to what Elon Musk is doing? Look, what we’re seeing right now, Caitlin, is a very dangerous moment. I’m laughing here, but it is not funny. This country is moving very rapidly under Trump into an authoritarian form of society. The founding fathers, way back in the 1770s, these were nobody’s fools. Was Bernie Sanders alive back in the 1770s? But they had fought the King of England, an autocrat, had all the power, and they said, you know what? We don’t want that in the new country.

We’re going to set up three separate equal branches of government. Every kid in the sixth grade knows who they are. But Trump does not. And what Trump is doing now is trying every day to usurp the powers of Congress, to challenge the powers of the court. It is a very dangerous moment. Well, the question, though, when it comes. The voters said that we wanted the Republicans to control every branch of government because we actually want to get things done. And there’s always a yang to the yang, meaning that there’s always a negative to the positive that keeps things balanced.

And for so long, things have been imbalanced because we’ve seen Democrats basically run this country in the ground. And Congress was the ones that enabled them through the purse strings. See, Congress is the purse. That’s really what it all comes down to. They teach you and government inside a high school and middle school and all of this stuff and civics classes. They teach you that Congress is the one that have to work with and be able to approve and all of this other type of stuff in order to make sure that certain things do.

And we need parts from this district and this district and this district from this state that order to represent their constituents and all of this stuff. Right. But here’s the reality. Here’s the truth. From a CSUN’s perspective, the president is the one that implements the policies and is supposed to be a representation of the people. They do the thing that’s in the best interest of all people. This is the true structure of the government and how it’s supposed to be. Congress is supposed to be the purse. They are the ones that enable the budget that gives the president the power to be able to pull off some of the things that they pull off.

We need an executive branch. If it’s ever an emergency, if it’s ever an issue, if we ever got to go to war, if you ever see a pandemic and all of this type of stuff, you have to go through the president and the president is a representation of the country. They are the face of the country. It’s the reason why all the time they got to have the best person. You usually got to be married, right? You got to be a strong masculine male, but we’ve for so long lost our way and we are forgetting our place.

All Congresses is the purse. That’s it. They’re the ones that approve the budget. They’re the ones that gives approval and gives a stamp of approval to any of the cabinet members that ultimately get nominated as a part of the cabinet for the president of the United States of America. They’re the push. They’re the money. They’re the finance. So when we look at Congress today, right? Because Bernie Sanders has been in Congress for a long time. How come nobody, and I mean zero people actually hold Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, because she was the president of the Senate, which means that she was a tie breaking vote of most of the things that we seem implemented during the Biden administration.

How come we don’t lay these old timers, the Pelosi’s, the Bernie Sanders, the Elizabeth Warren’s, how come we don’t lay the debt, the national debt? If we’re just going to really, really apply pressure, we need to get these people out of office. It’s one of the reasons why Republicans control the purse strings now because it’s the Bernie Sanders and Nancy Pelosi’s who’ve, by the way, gotten incredibly rich as a result of serving the American people. Listen, you don’t even see regular people that make way more money than them annually for their entire lives have a net worth of a Congress member of a sitting Congress member who has no term limits, who use millions and millions of dollars and raise part of their job is not even to serve the people.

It is to raise money in order to keep their control and their seat in Congress. And they never will put in term limits, but then they will sit there and tell president Trump that he can’t have power to do what he wants to do. When Trump is long gone, these people are still going to have their seats. They’re going to try to give them over into their kids and whoever it is that they endorse, whoever they rock with, whoever’s been loyal to them at the time. How come we can’t lay at the feet of Congress who controls the person in the United States of America? How can we not lay at the feet of Congress a $36 trillion deficit? Anytime Bernie get on a panel, anytime you get on a platform, the first thing that I want to know is a person that has been a sitting Congress member for more than my lifetime, probably.

Why are we $36 trillion in debt since you are responsible for the purse strings? Eric D, you so busy trying to make a divisive argument. I’m not absolving Republicans from what they’ve done inside of Congress. I think that all Congress members need to be held accountable for what our debt looks like. It’s not just Democrats, it’s not just Republicans, but Bernie Sanders is the one that is leading against auditing the federal government. That is the reason why we’re using him as an example. The name of this show is called Resistance. Why are you resisting an audit of the federal government if you are the ones that control the purse strings? That is the problem.

We don’t see Republicans saying that we want to resist an audit of the federal government. If we are to be accountable for where we have our money go and instead of him protesting against an audit, why aren’t they embracing together embracing the thing that they are all responsible for doing to the United States of America? Nobody is absolving Republicans from what they’ve done inside of signing on to continue to allow for our United States of America to be $36 trillion in debt. The point is, why are you resisting somebody coming in and doing an individual audit while you got rich? That is the problem.

Real talk, that is the problem. The reason why I separated Jasmine Crockett from Bernie Sanders is because Jasmine Crockett was not in office when Trump was in office on his first term. Jasmine Crockett is relatively new, but she got her own issues that we’re going to address. But when I see Bernie Sanders, I don’t take him serious because Bernie Sanders has been in Congress for a long time. And now he wants to go on a crusade. Get the heck out of here, bro. To what this looks like is we haven’t seen a ton of resistance from Capitol Hill.

And we have seen some efforts in the courts. These Democratic attorneys general stepped in. But today, a federal judge here, Tonya Chukkin, she’s well known to our audience from the Trump trials. She declined to block Musk’s and his team from getting access because she basically said she wasn’t getting specific enough examples from these AGs about how Musk could cause irreparable harm to their state. And if they can’t prove that in court, what does that say? Well, I tell you what I happen to believe. At the end of the day, the struggle against Trump, the struggle against oligarchy, which is led by Elon Musk, the struggle against authoritarianism, the fight to make sure that the working class of this country gets a fair shake.

That is not going to be won here in Capitol Hill. It’s going to be won by millions of people all over this country standing up and saying, you know what, we fought and died for democracy. We’re not going to move toward authoritarianism. We fought to create a country that works for all, not just the billionaire class. That’s the struggle. I’m going to be active in trying to rally the American people to do just that. Well, and you’re embarking on this tour to combat this. It’s a national tour. You’re starting in Nebraska and Iowa.

How do you break through to people, though? There are some people, Trump voters who are even independent voters who like what Elon Musk is doing and say, yeah, the federal government does spend too much money and it is too bloated. The truth is the federal government is a bureaucracy. We have to acknowledge that federal government perfect far from it. Do we need to bring about reforms? Absolutely. But let us be clear what these guys really want to do. Do you think that Elon Musk is staying up, not just worrying about excessive spending in the CDC? I don’t think so.

At the end of the day, what these guys want and what Trump wants is to cut programs that working class people need. They’re talking the House Budget Committee released their report, their budget, eight hundred and eighty billion dollars in cuts to Medicaid. Do you know what that means? It’s not only that millions of people, kids, are going to be thrown off their health insurance. They have devastating to nursing homes, 40 percent of the revenue coming into community health centers, 30 million people get their health care community health centers. That’s coming from Medicaid.

You cut Medicaid, you’re going to dismember an already broken health care system. What are they going to do with that money? They’re going to give it to tax breaks for the richest people in America. Over a trillion dollars goes in tax breaks to the top one percent. That is what these guys want. They want more wealth. They want more power. American people are going to have to stop them. Well, and what you’re referencing, this is like the blueprint essentially that we got from House Republicans. It’s not clear what realistically they’re going to be able to pass here.

But they’re looking to have four point five trillion in tax cuts. And basically this plan instructed the Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees Medicaid, to find those eight hundred and eighty billion dollars in cuts. Realistically, what should voters be worried about? If you hear from some moderate Republicans who say we’re not going to touch Medicaid, that’s not going to be on the table. Well, no one is saying that. I mean, right now, what we are trying to do in a House, which is almost evenly divided, if two Republicans, two out of four hundred and thirty five members say, you know what, we’re not going to vote to give tax breaks to billionaires and cut programs that children and the elderly and the hungry desperately need to Republicans.

Their proposal is dead. And we’re going to work hard to make sure not only. No, we’re not doing that. There’s a mandate from the people from the American people to do the things and get the things done. We don’t want to have nobody limited nothing. We’re running it up and we need a united Congress, not rhinos. We don’t want no rhinos. We already discovered who some of those rhinos are. They better get on board or they getting voted out during the next midterm or the next election. They got to get on board. They can go on petition and try to recruit Republicans all they want.

You better get on board because if you haven’t learned anything over the last four years is that the Trump train is going that way. And anybody that’s not a part of MAGA, anybody that’s not a part of doing the things and if you’re trying to slow down the federal government, you will be ousted on the next election. And nobody wants to be ousted out of Congress because they want it to be the ones that disrupt what’s going on inside of the American people’s crusade against a bloated government. We’re not doing it.

I believe we got two. They’ve got a hell of a lot more than two. On the Elon Musk front, when it comes to social security payments and what is actually wrong with government and what’s exaggerated, we’re hearing this line from the White House that tens of millions of people are getting social security fraudulently, either they’re dead or. I don’t believe that for a second. We’ve got no evidence of it, but I looked into this and what we do know is that there’s a lot of people that still remain in the database. But as far as people who are actually getting payments, it was 44,000 who got payments according to an audit that was done in 2023.

Out of how many millions? There’s tens of millions. So when they say tens of millions, this is what we are dealing with. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, we should not have 44,000 fraudulent payments that has been discovered so far. What do you mean out of how many? If it’s one, that’s too many. 44,000 regular monthly fraudulent payments is unacceptable. What are you talking about? 44,000 fraudulent payments is not acceptable at all. Ain’t no way in the world you could sit here and tell me that that makes sense.

44,000 is a lot. You mean out of how many? 44,000 alone is a lot. I don’t care how many it is. What’s wrong with these people, bro? We’re not only dealing with oligarchy, the incredible power of the very, very rich. We’re not only dealing with a move toward authoritarianism. We’re dealing with what is new to America. Politicians are always like, nothing new about that. But the level that we’re seeing right now, the big lie over and over again, and it goes out, there’s a big lie. And then it goes out on Musk’s Twitter, to what, several hundred million people repeated over and over again.

Now the word is out there. Oh, people on social security, 150 years of age. Can you believe it? The whole thing is corrupt. It’s broken. Well, where does that lead you, Caitlin? What’s the next step? If government can’t do anything, social security doesn’t work. If Medicaid doesn’t work, if Medicaid doesn’t work, we’re going to get rid of all of those programs. And we’re going to get rid of that. What? What is he talking about? Trump’s see the one thing that we can say about Trump, because they can sit here on this crusade all that they want to.

But the one thing that we can say about Trump definitively is that Trump, when Trump make a promise, he keep it promises made promises kept. That’s the new slogan promises made promises kept. Guess what Trump hasn’t done. He hasn’t signed an executive order at all that removes power from the individual states to be able to vote on whether or not they want women to do what they want to do with their bodies. The same way that he said that nothing would change when he was running for president, when they tried to pin that on him.

That was the main thing that they ran on. He never changed it. He said the government only recognizes two genders, but women can do what they own, what they want, what they own body, depending on how y’all vote within your individual states. That’s up to y’all. How come we don’t see anybody protesting against it? You know what else Trump said? We won’t be defunding Social Security at all. But they want a fear monger. Well, listen, if they decided that they wanted to go in and test whether or not people were getting right payments, they could just dismantle the whole thing.

They could just, they could dismantle the whole thing. Wholesterside of Medicare and Social Security and everything, everything. And you know where it’s all going? It’s going to go into the pockets of the rich and Trump and his billionaire friends. What? What? So Elon Musk and the Doge team actually taking time out of their billionaire schedule to make sure that the federal government is running regularly in a way that it’s supposed to and not having no government waste. All of a sudden, that’s the issue. Get out of here, bro. To the billionaire class to run it.

That’s what you think they’re ultimately trying to do. Yeah, at the end of the day, not only do they want massive cuts, mass programs for the working class in this country in order to get tax breaks to the very rich. And then they want to move to the privatization of every important government agency. Just the other day. And it’s really upset me because I used to be chairman of the Veterans Committee and I feel very strongly about making sure that those men and women who put their lives on the line to defend this country get a fair shake.

Right away, a thousand employees at the VA laid off. At a time when the VA health care system certainly needs more help than they have right now. It needs more help than we already have. At the end of the day, yeah. They’re going to want to privatize the Veterans Administration, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the post-losses, by the way. If President Trump were seated next to you, he might say, well, I pledged on the campaign trail that I’m not going to touch Social Security. What would you say to voters who bring that up? Well, I think the president has many attributes, but credibility and honesty are not one of them.

Oh, it absolutely is. You could say a lot of things about Trump. You could say a lot of things. We could talk about a lot of things, but the one thing that we can’t say is that he lying. They reaching. Listen, this Democrat party is so broken and they are grasping for straws. The people, even people that are complaining about losing their jobs, are saying, you know what? He said he was going to do it. You voted for him. Yes, we did. This is exactly what we voted for. Very few people cannot say that he not doing exactly, exactly to a T, exactly what he said that he was going to do.

Real talk. Absolutely. That’s the one thing that you can’t say about Trump. Somebody get this geezer out of here. Unless we holding him accountable for everything that’s going on with Congress, somebody get him out of here because we definitely want to know why and how all of them got rich. [tr:trw].
