And reminder, all of this talk about health freedom, it should really be about food freedom. That is what is really getting me riled up. It’s not about coffee, it’s not about donuts, it’s about your freedom to choose what’s next. Well, let’s read your comments because you had some really great ones. And here we’ve got St John Storm says Pegs. I like that nickname. I love your videos and info. We are carnivore and no longer eat seed oils, sugars, carbs, starches, grains, plant toxins, natural defense chemicals, glyphosate. Oh my gosh. What? What do you eat, friends? Oh, you’re carnivore.
And then they write, I would rather see someone fat from donuts than dead from one of Bob’s syringes. Oh my gosh, that is a very hard hitting comment. Now Duncan basically is nearly every state they have a tagline that is America runs on Dunkin. And I’m telling you, you are not all that kind to Dunkin Donuts. I’m not that kind to Dunkin Donuts but I am fond of the Vietnamese and Cambodian Dunkin, Cambodian donuts and here Mexi Mexico unexplained. Love that. I’ll have to check out that YouTube channel. Said I lived in San Diego for 16 years and you are right about the Cambodian donut shop.
Wow, I have never eaten such magical food in my life. I had to stay away though or else I’d be £300. Friends, just a quick reminder, it is Throwback Thursday. I am going to be playing for you another of Bob’s campaigns that I’m not in favor of. So we’ll get to that in a moment. That just reminds me because it was an image of Mike Tyson. Well, you’re going to see that video in just a moment. It’s so important. You need to see it again if you and if you miss it the first time, you really will be chagrin.
Grinned as I was Suzette Ann says leave my sugar and coffee alone. Vivax says Bob is picking fight with Dunkin Donuts but leaving Monsanto alone. Bully. A lot of people agreed with that comment and the Rose knows it all. Says if you were starving to death and all you had to eat were donuts, you would probably live friends. Even the Maha supporters, the few that he has left. But let’s see. Let me share this with you. But I would say the Maha supporters are dwindling and they’re also outraged by this because where does it end? What’s next? Restrictions on how much coffee you drink? So here Pamela said Dunkin Donuts is probably getting free advertisement.
They are part of the club. And I responded. I love to respond to your comments. I said pamela, I love how you are thinking. That is certainly a possibility. I am blessed. Said what? Regardless of whether that is true or not, it’s still not the government’s job to control what people eat or drink. And I agree with that. Most people agreed with that. There are some that do believe the government should regulate our food. So what’s next? Taking out all of the cookies and crackers and everything from the grocery store? Some people would applaud that. I don’t.
But I want to talk about what Pamela said. Dunkin Donuts is probably getting free advertisement. They are part of the club. Look what I came across almost exactly a year ago. Why some states across the US Are not running on Duncan. Look at this. Oh my gosh. Savannah Guthrie who was in the news because of the what some say fake, phony, fraudulent story about her mother. I covered that with a video some time ago. But here we’ve got news at 8. Dunkin Donuts shortage. All y’ all see that story. I don’t watch mainstream news so it was not on my radar.
But when I was doing my research, check this out. Why some states across the US Are not running on Dunkin. Apparently it was hitting the mainstream media that Dunkin there was a Dunkin Donuts shortage. And you know what happens when there’s a shortage. People want more of it. So here it showed people trying to go to Duncan and or going to Duncan and seeing the empty shelves. So Pamela might be onto something when it comes to Dunkin Donuts being in on it. Ms. Info highway says with Bob’s absolute sketchy personal history, why are we surprised in the least that he is all about distracting from the main issues? Roxanne, why is government in our food, in our medical we don’t want them sinking their nose in our personal business or as I say it, their big fat nose.
Okay, well, some people said seeing these donuts and talking about donuts started to give them a donut craving. I told you in the video that I don’t really care for Dunkin Donuts, but a fresh hot donut from a Cambodian donut shop is hard to pass by. All right. Beware the locust says, where was this idiot when the foolish masses were wearing a face diaper? He’s setting us up for digital tagging and shipping where they will let you know if you are allowed to spend money on the food or drinks you want. I think there’s really something to that.
Rose gave a lot of good comments in that video. Rhonda, one of our moderators, so grateful for her. She said, I haven’t had a donut in forever and now I want one. So perhaps that’s why people are concluding maybe Duncan was in on this some shape or form. Rose also says, are we being forced to eat donuts? No. Then leave them alone. The same with any other food. And I agree with that. We’re not being forced to eat donuts, but we were being forced to take the jab in order to keep your job or travel or just live in society.
I’m so glad you stood up like I did. Never have, never will comply with any of that. Norm Chomsky says, but you are the person who is responsible for your own health. Eat whatever you want. Norm, you just summarized my whole philosophy. Some people mistrude. That is that. Am I saying that correctly? Misconstrued that to say that I was promoting Dunkin Donuts. I think that’s so funny. Well, here, let’s talk about Dunkin Donuts. I have a couple of more comments I want to share with you, but let’s do our survey and I’ll tell you what the survey says in terms of what the logos, which logo was the most popular? So I really like this one back in the 50s and then this was 60 to 76.
And then this was 76 to 2002. You can see the evolution. And 02 to 07, the hot coffee. They were focused more on the coffee and the coffee drinks than the donuts. That’s probably when they started having more shops and the donuts were not made fresh. They maybe were frozen. People said they noticed a different taste. There’s another one I want to show you. But here, Sherry says the whole aisle in every store with processed baked goods, Little Debbie’s, chips ahoy Nabisco, etc. Should be emptied if we follow that logic. And you’re absolutely right, Sherry Maha is a scam.
Nothing to do with protecting our health. They don’t care about our health and well being. Not when they give a pass to Glyphosate in Roundup. A Bear, formerly Monsanto, so called weed killer product. Very deadly and dangerous. Yes. Not just to the weeds. So I agree with that as well. Okay, Back to the logos. 07 to 019 they shipped it away from just Dunkin Donuts and then called it dd and then they got rid of the donuts altogether in terms of the logo. Just call us Dunkin. So the winner is this one and that’s my favorite as well.
I told you I was going to try to find this on ebay because I would love to have a T shirt or a coffee mug and there are quite a number of things here on ebay. This is a pre owned but this I think it was remade. It says in 2010 the old Dunkin Donuts logo. I do like coffee shop mugs. I think it’s a lot of fun. Here’s a. Here are a few more. And what I found again. Oh my gosh, look at that one. I found this. A vintage 76 Dunkin Donuts heavy ceramic coffee mug logo.
Only $21 but it’s not pink. What happened? I wanted the pink donut shop logo so I’m going to take a pass on that friends. But that was the winning logo as far as my Healthy American. So we already looked at Norm’s comment. Here is Candy says when Bob has them stop spraying our skies, then maybe I’m more likely to pay attention to what he has to say. Mike says they will allow maybe 2 ounces of meat a day. And JT says don’t tread on my coffee. I found this really cute T shirt. It says. Oh, I’ll show you in one moment.
Last comment here. She says, oh girl, you are making me hungry for a donut. And a good old bottled Coca Cola in the bottle. And I don’t even drink sodas. Lol. Mmm. A good old maple covered fresh baked donut. Yum. And absolutely I agree with you. I think I was getting a hankering for a donut. And how about this friends? I donut care. Should we send that T shirt to Bob or I think I should make that on the Healthy American. I’ve not really been selling T shirts but I think I might start doing that again if you think that’s a good idea.
And now we’re going to get to our Throwback Thursday video. It’s not that long ago that I played the video with Mike the Ear Biter Tyson food shaming people for their choices. I’ll give you all of my comments, all of my commentary. If you missed it the first time, here you go. If you saw it before, it’s worth another viewing. Can’t wait to read your comments. I normally respond to them within the first 24 hours, so drop me a comment. And remember, on Fridays, we leave the headlines behind. We sail over to Living Swell with Peggy hall, and we’re going to be talking more about decluttering, specifically decluttering your bathroom shelves.
I think that’s an area where a lot of us struggle. All right, without further ado, let’s throw back to our previous video about Mike Tyson and Bob Kennedy bullying people for their food choices. Hey, one more quick thing, friends. Before we dive into that video, I had the strangest occurrence happen where something showed up in my mailbox today. Take a look at the name of it. Isn’t that weird? You know how when you think about something, it shows up on your phone? This showed up in my mailbox. That is so bizarre. Hey, friends, we’re talking about the very curious Health and Human Services campaign called Real Food Eat Real Food Eat real food dot gov.
And you’ve heard of fat shaming? Well, this little ad that they have on their Facebook page is more about food shaming. Take a look for yourself. What do you think you’re doing? Processing kills. Remember that? Okay. How do you like them rotten apples? Aside from the facial tattoo, what do you think about the violence? My husband said when he looked at this, first of all, he said, this is not real. This has to be from Saturday Night Live. And then I showed him that it actually comes from the Health and Human Services Facebook page. And then he said that that just makes him want to eat a donut.
And I’m not even going to show you these very bizarre pictures of Kennedy and other people that look so unhealthy, but this is where it came from right here. I am just flabbergasted over this entire campaign. And I did a video for you a couple of days ago, and I have a substack for you about my chagrin, I should say, of having a convicted rapist, Mike Tyson, as the spokesperson with his prison facial tattoo or drug dealer facial tattoo. I’m going to show you more of this thanks to my healthy Americans. We’ll pause that right here.
I’m going to read to you, some emails that I got. And we’re going to dive a little bit more into this dark and, dare I say, distasteful. Yes, distasteful campaign. And I know that some of you believe that the government should tell you what to eat or should tell those who can’t afford to buy groceries what they should eat. Friends, on that Facebook page with Health and Human Services, here was a comment. What a person consumes is their choice. I honestly don’t understand the government involvement in that process. I have a rare disease that the government is dictating the treatment for.
I didn’t ask to have it, and I have no control over the government trying to dictate how I am treated. There are thousands of us, all ages and backgrounds. I think he means with the disease. And, you know, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, it’s no skin off my teeth. Oh, maybe that’s a poor choice of words, given the bite, like Mike Tyson realfood.gov campaign going on, but it’s no skin off my teeth. If people want to eat junk food, I don’t understand why people care about what other people eat. So on that Facebook page, Bob Kennedy says 70% of Americans are either obese or overweight.
It’s because we’re given food that’s low in nutrition and high in calories, and it’s destroying our health. All right, let’s just pause here for a moment, friends. First of all, I would like to know where those statistics come from. Yes, I’ve been through America’s airports. I have seen people that are overweight. But I also live in a community where most of us are pretty fit and trim. So I don’t know that 70% is accurate. And I really don’t know why it’s even the government’s business to even give us those numbers or to be involved in this issue.
Then Kennedy says it’s because we’re given food that’s low in nutrition. Okay, who is we and who’s giving the food? No one is giving me food. I choose the food that I eat without the government involvement. And I can choose to eat food that is nutritious. I can choose to eat food that is calorie dense or not. And I believe that this is one big, giant smokescreen for what is really destroying our health. And you don’t get that at the supermarket, friends. You get that in a vial, and it’s quite vile. And you get that in a syringe.
I’m just trying to be Delicate here on the channel. In other words, it’s not what you’re eating, it’s what is being injected into you. From a very young age, most people had no say in the matter because they were children and their parents listened to the government. That same government that Bob wants you to trust and he says that we are given food. I don’t know who’s giving us this food. Are you given food? Like don’t you choose your food and don’t you have the right to choose a frozen pizza and soda or soft drinks or chips or candy if you so desire? I went on my soapbox in my video and boy oh boy did I get some comments.
And I got some interesting follow up comments via email. There were a number of people, I’ll just summarize that said, you know, if the government is giving them the food stamps now called SNAP Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, then the government has the right to tell them what to eat. I still find that statement shocking. We looked at that. There is a bill here in the Iowa legislature. In fact, I’m going to share the email with you that a healthy American sent me and we’re going to take a look at that. And first let’s take a look at this email because this Iowa bill from a couple of years ago wants to even restrict the food choices further.
But this one I thought was interesting. It said, hi Peggy. YouTube wouldn’t let me leave this comment, so I’m emailing you. When you said people on food stamp SNAP should be able to buy whatever they want, I thought you were wrong. Because the government is giving them money. The government should be able to say what they have to buy or can buy or can’t. Can’t buy. I think they meant buy. Many people shared this same position, the same opinion. And, and I left a couple of comments and I just said why? Because I would like to know why.
If you believe that, why do you believe that? And then this person writes, but then when I listen to your reasons, I have to admit it made me think about it a second time. Why should poor people not be trusted to choose the foods they will eat? Yeah, I agree with that. And why can’t they buy what anyone else wants to buy? Well, I agree with that too. I mean, we’re either in favor of freedom or we’re in favor of the government restricting our choices. And what somebody else chooses to eat does not harm anyone else.
And they go on to write, and why should I care anyway what somebody else eats? I agree 100%. I don’t understand, you have to admit it’s. I’m going to be a little blunt here, friends. It’s a little bit of a smug and superior attitude for you to care what someone else eats and for you to want to restrict what they eat. Like it’s, it’s snow skin off my teeth. What anybody else eats, I do care if they drink and they drive under the influence of drinking because that does put someone at risk. But somebody eating a pizza or whatever you want to describe as junk food donuts, as we saw in that video, how does that harm anybody? It doesn’t.
So this person writes, I see. That does not make sense to me. If someone wants to eat junk food, that is no busyness of mine. Yeah, I agree. So I know what you mean about the government shouldn’t restrict what people can buy, even if they are getting government assistance. It makes me think that if I had to get unemployment, I have to spend the money the way the government tells me to. See, I think that’s an excellent point. It’s not exactly apples and apples, but you can make that hop, skip and a jump because that is the nature of incrementalism.
If they’re telling you what you can do with the money that you’re getting for your food and now they’re going to tell you the money that you’re getting for your unemployment, or maybe you work for the government and the government tells you, oh, I don’t know, you have to be injected with a substance in order to keep your job. Gee, that happened, didn’t it? So they write, I was fighting with you from the beginning about the government can’t tell us what to put in our bodies, so why should that be any different from the food we eat? Thank you for helping me think about this differently.
So I really appreciate that. Okay, this was another email that came in and this really was shocking. Oops. Okay, well, this came from Jacob and he writes, many thanks for your most recent Mike Tyson RFK and Maha. Best regards. A modest Iowa proposal. So he’s now giving me. He has embedded this article from 2023, a modest Iowa proposal to ban access to fresh meat and other grocery staples for SNAP recipients. So the bill called House File 3 that I just had a screen grab for you a moment ago which did not pass. But remember, these things are done kind of with predictive programming to desensitize people or get them preconditioned to accept these ideas where here they wanted, they would restrict the SNAP recipients access to fresh meat because apparently meat would not be that healthy for you.
They want you to eat canned fish. And here you have it. Republicans in the state legislature are proposing to ban food stamp recipients from purchasing fresh meat with their benefits, pointing them instead to canned fish. Well, I would for one would like to know which of these Republicans in the Iowa state legislature are being paid off by the tuna fish lobby and industry. All right, so friends, the other thing that really troubles me. Got another email for you here. Another thing that really troubles me is when you learn more about snap. And in fact, let’s do that first.
This is the US Department of Agriculture. This is the agency in the federal government that oversees the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. And you know, actually I think that is a good way to spend our money. I think there are people that need this help and I far be it for me to restrict them from being able to use it. Are there people who are rigging the system? Absolutely. That exist in every walk of life, in every industry, in. I mean they rig the system at the job where you work or work. So that definitely exists. There is corruption, yes.
But there are people, people that I have known personally that needed this and benefited from it. So just off the cuff, I’m not opposed to people needing these benefits. They might be disabled, they might be elderly, they may have health issues. So I think there definitely are some safety nets that are useful. What I want to show you is this map with waivers approved by the fda. And what does that mean? It’s kind of the opposite of what I thought it meant. I thought it meant that the states that have waivers don’t restrict the foods that can be purchased by the SNAP program, but it’s the exact opposite.
They have to get a waiver from the federal government saying yes, they can restrict people from purchasing certain items in their state. And here it is. I wanted to go right to the source. No AI here, friends. My own research. So Arkansas restricts the purchase. This is going to go into effect in July in Arkansas. I thought they were a freedom loving state. They’re going to restrict the purchase of soda, fruit and vegetable drinks with less than 50% natural juice, unhealthy drinks and candy. What are unhealthy drinks? You see, friends, it’s a hop, skip and a jump away from saying you cannot purchase frozen pizza, you cannot purchase meat.
And then it’s just that incrementalism toward what your health insurance company is going to say that you can purchase or any of us can purchase. And what really troubles me is that it’s the government putting the restrictions on the Retailers. So the retailers are the ones who say to the person in line, I’m sorry, this, your debit card can’t pay for this birthday cake for your child. I mean, come on, you guys. You want the government to restrict what people can buy? It’s just why? That’s my question, and I would like to have a reasonable answer.
Well, Peggy, it’s unhealthy. Yeah. And why do you care what someone else chooses to eat? In the beautiful state of Florida, where I currently am, in April, there will be restrictions on soda, energy drinks, candy, and prepared desserts. There’s the birthday cake. Friends, I am 100% in opposition to this. I, I, I actually am speechless. It is controlling people’s choices. It doesn’t matter to me that the money comes from the government. Why is that different? There are people that work for the government, so they’re getting government money. Are they going to be told what they can spend that on? As the person who emailed me said, what about unemployment? Am I going to be told what I can spend that money on? So all the states in green are the ones that have been pressured and coerced by Bob, who probably wants to send you to a fat farm.
I don’t care for the food shaming. It is absolutely reprehensible and it is anti freedom. All right, I got this off a website that has an app that helps people track what they purchase with their SNAP benefits. So dog and cat food is not eligible. Are you okay with that? Let’s say that you fell on hard times and you were using the SNAP benefits. You’re not able to get a rotisserie chicken over here. You’re not able to get dog food. You’re not able to get paper towels or medicine. And you can’t get your child an ice cream cone yet.
Remember that image? Oh, I’ll have to come up with it. Here. Here’s the image. Your friend and not mine. Ellen Mush there. And Trump and Trump Jr. And this guy over here and this guy over here with everything that the SNAP recipients can’t purchase. And Trump himself. Well, both of the Trumps look pretty pleased. It does look like Bob there is a little skeptical. However, he did pose for the photo. Friends, you see those condescending individuals that want to tell other people what to eat, but they’re going to eat what they want to eat. So, yeah, little snark today.
It’s totally called for. So the SNAP is funded through the regular federal budget process. It comes through legislation called the Farm Bill. So again, I Have no problem with people getting their whatever it is, maybe a couple thousand dollars, I don’t know these days, the price of food. And if they want to buy. And if they want to buy a rotisserie chicken, if they want to buy dog food, if they want to buy a frozen pizza and fresh meat. Because remember this incrementalism, they’re going to restrict more and more and more. Let’s go to this final email that I got from a healthy American.
Hi Peggy, I am a new fan of your show. I appreciate your perspective. I don’t think any public funding, taxpayer dollars went to the Mike Tyson ad. It was funded by Maha Action and that is right here. And I really want to thank those of you that looked into this for me. So you can donate to bully people about what they should and shouldn’t eat. You can donate to food shame and fat shame people into their choices. You can donate to pay for advertisements like this that are violent and abusive. You’re okay with that? The gang tattoos? Well, I’m not okay with it and I’m certainly not okay with this.
She said this ad was done with RFK Jr’s approval, of course, as he and Tony Lyons, who’s the head of this Maha action, are close. I was unable to find out how much money they brought in because their Form 990 has not been filed yet. I will have to replay you my video. One of the best videos in my opinion I’ve ever done about how to find out about nonprofits that you might want to support and what they’re doing with their money. I’ll have to replay that, she says. I agree it was a creepy ad. I don’t do Facebook.
But when looking for the Maha Action link, I found their Facebook page and I took a screenshot of these awful pictures. So look at all of these people, including a young person that does not look like an adult. I don’t know who it is. I will be horrified if it’s not an adult with the one eye symbolism. And they’re all in this dark black imagery. No color, no health. Does this look like the picture of health to you? Do any of these people actually look healthy with the dark circles under their eyes? If I were to look at their ages, I would probably conclude that they have accelerated aging, maybe from something that was injected into their body.
I’m very, very distressed to see that this. Who’s that guy? The chiropractor? Berg. Berg. Dr. Berg, the chiropractor. Some of you told me he is a Latter Day Saints. Anyhow here’s that other guy, the means Rockefeller connection. So I don’t even know most of these people, but I find it atrocious. This is their Healthy Food Initiative. When you want to see a beautiful plate of fruits and vegetables to entice you to eat more healthy, shouldn’t education and encouragement come before all of these restrictions? So, my Healthy American writes, illuminati eye symbol aside, do these people look happy or healthy? Does processed food kill? Certainly it plays a part in a person’s health, but there are other factors, as you know and have mentioned.
The whole MAHA movement is such a disappointment. It really appears to me to be just another part of. Of the political. Excuse me, the political industrial complex. Thank you for your work. As you can hear, my voice is a little rough. I’m going to arrest that now, and I look forward to reading your comments. My question for you is why? Why do you care what other people eat? Why should their food choices be restricted? It’s a sincere question and I would like to have an answer. Because I always favor freedom. What someone eats does not harm anyone else.
And even if you have never had a donut or potato chips or a slice of birthday cake or a scoop of ice cream or a pizza or French fries or a burger, maybe you have never eaten any of those things in your life. Does that give you the right to tell other people what they can eat?
