Before I go into this group of senators that are sternly warning the ATF during this transition period about potential rulemaking and enforcement of stuff, caution needs to go out there, guys. When you have a question about maybe the item you own, do not call or email the ATF about it for real.

You’re asking the communist tyrant, please, can I have this? Don’t do that. This is where this came from. Watch the video. But don’t ever ask them. There are other people that know everything about this, including the groups that are suing. So if you’re a GOA member, then you call GOA or say, hey, guys, what about this? I know you have a lawsuit. Where do I stand with this? And that will go a long way rather than asking the ATF. All right, before I give you this letter that was sent to the ATF, Steve Dedelbach, who’s quitting, who has already resigned.

Like I said, this was sent to Director Stephen Dedelbach, whose days are numbered. And this group of senators said, Dear Director Dedelbach, we write to strongly encourage the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to firmly commit to and focus on preparing for the transition to the incoming administration of President-elect Donald J. Trump. The incoming administration, including our next attorney general, deputy attorney general, and ATF director, must have the opportunity and ability to set ATF’s priorities and future direction.

ATF’s ability to achieve its statutory mission of combating violent crime depends on a smooth and effective transition. Toward that end, we recommend and urge that ATF suspend and refrain from issuing any further rulemaking. ATF rulings, open letters to the industry or other publications or reports, including academic research reports, accept reports generated in direct support of specific criminal investigations from making formal recommendations to Congress, launching any new regulatory initiatives, or changing any policies, or reorganizing the organizational structure of ATF. Any new policy initiatives undertaken at this late stage will only create instability and detract from the transition and ATF’s focus on its primary mission.

This recommendation should not be interpreted to suggest ATF not continue to provide ordinary regulatory support to the industry, such as issuing federal firearm or explosive licenses in import permits or National Firearms Act forms. During this transition period, it remains imperative ATF remain focused on its primary mission of combating violent crime, which we know it will. We thank you for your service as ATF director and look forward to receiving your continued cooperation during the transition. Now, if I want to intertwine this into yesterday’s video because the email that a GOA member sent to the ATF division that said, yeah, it’s a short barreled rifle. You need to register that. Well, that email went to ATF on December 11th. And GOA got involved in early January and gave them a certain amount of time to respond. And ATF, that division, ignored them. GOA, remember, they have a lawsuit, so they have to do things a certain way. So they can’t just say, look, judge, we didn’t try to rectify this. So Eric Pratt went the next step.

And at the time of my recording, they didn’t respond. However, last night they did respond. And they’re going to really respond early next week. So we’re waiting to see what they say. But this letter from the senators was sent in between that period. So they’ve been put on notice. No BS between now and when Donald Trump’s transition takes effect, but here they are trying it again. Guys, look, my personal opinion is do what you think is best for you. If you have a question on how you’re rolling, I would refer you if you’re a GOA member, maybe call them, maybe talk to a second amendment attorney, whatever you think you need to do in your life to make you feel more comfortable doing it.

But please do not call ATF. That’s like, hey, you know what? I’m thinking about dealing drugs. Let me call the DEA and see if I can deal just a little bit of crack, right? You know what’s going to happen. They’re going to take your door in. So stay away from the tyrannical clowns. And there’s plenty of resources available, whether it’s videos that I put out or anybody else in the second amendment community here on YouTube or GOA or any other group, second amendment foundation, FPC, the list goes on and on and on.

And you can even lean on your state orgs as well. So just a little advice. You can either take it or not. It’s up to you. But the ATF is under extreme scrutiny and they’re under, basically they’ve been warned, you better stop. Don’t screw up this transition. Or else what though, right? That’s the real question. Or else what? Stop it. Don’t do it again. They know the dental box quit. They know that his last day is January 19th. Two days ago, yesterday, yesterday, I think it was yesterday. I don’t even know what today is.

I think it was yesterday, Friday. He had his retirement ceremony in which he was gifted an 80% lower while he was in Washington DC. And if it’s an unserialized lower, the ATF just violated DC law.
