Summary

➡ Dr. Bryan Ardis discusses natural solutions to epileptic seizures, a condition that affects millions worldwide. He explains that there are specific minerals and an amino acid that can reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures, and in some cases, stop them altogether. He also mentions that certain triggers can make seizures more likely for those with epilepsy, such as lack of sleep, stress, and certain foods. The podcast aims to provide hope and confidence for those suffering from seizures, offering potential solutions to consider.

➡ Epilepsy is a condition that can cause different types of seizures, including focal and generalized seizures, which can affect one or both sides of the brain respectively. There are various types of seizures, including tonic, atonic, myoclonic, and clonic, each causing different symptoms. The most common treatment for epilepsy is anti-seizure medication, which helps control seizures but does not cure epilepsy. However, these medications, such as Keppra, can have serious side effects including behavioral changes, depression, decreased white blood cell count, and increased blood pressure.

➡ Lamotrigine, an anti-epileptic medication, can cause serious side effects like life-threatening rashes, lupus-like reactions, and even increased seizures. It can also lead to sudden unexplained death in epilepsy patients. Another drug, Depakote, used for treating seizures, can cause severe liver damage, pancreatitis, and even coma. Both drugs have numerous other side effects, including vision changes, internal bleeding, and psychiatric issues.

➡ Depakote, a medication approved by the FDA, has several side effects including abnormal dreams, depression, hallucinations, hair loss, and even physical ailments like muscle pain and blurred vision. However, studies have shown that magnesium can help reduce the frequency and intensity of epileptic seizures, which are often treated with Depakote. Despite the potential benefits of magnesium, it is not commonly recommended by neurologists for patients with epilepsy. Therefore, it’s important to ask your doctor about the potential benefits of magnesium in managing epilepsy symptoms.

➡ Magnesium and Vitamin D supplements can help control seizures in both infants and adults. Studies show that low levels of these nutrients can lead to more seizures, while increasing their intake can reduce seizure frequency. Magnesium also helps in the production of GABA, a substance that reduces the risk of seizures, and Vitamin D has been shown to have a neuroprotective effect. Despite this, many seizure medications can actually reduce Vitamin D levels, potentially increasing seizure risk.

➡ In various studies, it was found that vitamin D, selenium, zinc, and taurine supplements can significantly reduce the frequency of epileptic seizures. Vitamin D supplementation reduced seizure frequency by 67 to 71%, and higher levels of vitamin D were associated with a 40% reduced risk in seizure activity. Similarly, selenium and zinc deficiency was linked to increased seizures, and their supplementation helped control seizures. Lastly, taurine, an amino acid, when used as an additional treatment, also showed a significant decrease in seizure duration and intensity.

➡ The article discusses the benefits of taurine, a common amino acid, in reducing seizures when combined with certain drugs. Taurine helps restore the balance of free amino acids and other substances in the brain, and can protect against damage from injuries or chemical imbalances. The article also highlights the importance of staying hydrated and maintaining a balance of essential minerals to prevent seizures. Finally, it suggests that supplements containing taurine and other beneficial substances can be easily incorporated into a daily routine to improve neurological health.

Transcript

Foreign. Hi, everybody. I’m Dr. Bryan Ardis. This is the Dr. Ardis Show. And this is actually a topic we are going to be covering today. In this episode is a very personal issue that affects millions of people around the world, literally. We’ll go through some of those statistics here. But it’s also something that a lot of families are embarrassed by. And I discovered over 25 years ago when I was going through chiropractic school. I remember learning about this topic and realizing that the majority of people who suffer with this condition or have a family member who does, most people closest to them never even know it’s an issue because it is so demoralizing, so embarrassing for some reason, and really disturbing to a lot of people that witness.

So this entire topic is actually natural solutions to epileptic seizures. This has been requested by a lot of people who write into the Dr. Ardis Show. They want us to do this presentation. So this is. I hope to God that any of you out there who are listening to this intro and have anybody they know in their life, colleagues at work who have a child, an adult, it doesn’t matter if they struggle with epileptic seizures. It was one of my greatest honors in practice was to help people stop their frequency or permanently stop their seizures altogether.

And there are ways to do that. And yes, I’ve had many patients that have done that. Even those who had so many frequent epileptic seizures, grand mal seizures, they had to wear wristbands to alert all personnel and emergency personnel that they were victims of seizures in case they collapsed somewhere in public and were not coherent by the time they were found. And we were able to even help them never have another seizure for decades while I was in practice. I will talk about some of those talking points, but I hope you’ll share this far and wide with anybody you know who has a loved one or they themselves suffers with any form of seizures.

Now, when I went through school, for most of you, I just want you to know there’s really only two types of seizures I remember learning about primarily, and they were called petty mal seizures. So. And grand mal seizures. Grand mal are the really violent, lots of uncontrollable movements, flopping around and really inflicting a lot of pain to themselves and others around them. Petty mall is more of the ones where it’s really quick, very subtle. Maybe just your eyes don’t move. Maybe the person can’t hear for a few minutes, can’t engage, and then that goes away. But there’s a.

Since the last 20 years, 20 some odd years, 24 years since I was in practice or, sorry, in chiropractic school. It was amazing to go through this, this research and put this together for everybody. They’ve actually designated many, many, many, many different forms of seizures. So we’ll dive into those. But there are some amazing medical research studies that have already confirmed there are very specific minerals and one specific amino acid that they have already been able to prove can either reduce the frequencies the drugs for epileptic seizures cause depletion of which exacerbates the frequencies and intensity of seizures.

And I’m going to show you how they’ve also been able to reverse or at some points permanently stop the epileptic seizures, no matter the type. So I hope you’ll sit back and enjoy this. This is everything you need to know about natural solutions to epileptic seizures. And I hope this provides any hope and demonstrates confidence for people at home that there are things to consider for those families, these individuals, if it’s you of what things you might want to consider or ask your doctor about that might want to be added to. One thing I find fascinating.

You’re about to learn about three specific minerals that they’ve actually tested together with common prescription drugs for seizures. And always the frequency reduction of seizures is greater with the supplement and the drug, if they even stay on the drug. And many times, you’ll see as I show you these research studies, there’s minerals you can supplement that outperform the seizures that are actually not affected at all or improved with drugs. And we’ll talk you through that, which is amazing. So let’s dive into this. Remember, if this hits home for you, if you want to share this somewhere, go to the Resources tab at the Dr.

Ardis Show. Download this PowerPoint, it’s free. And go send it to them. It’s got everything I’m about to show you. I’m going to walk you through a 100 plus slide PowerPoint. I’m going to show highlighted statements to follow the narrative of what the medical profession tells you about seizures, what the different forms are, what they say are the causes. And then we’re going to dive into what the medical research has, has confirmed for decades are possible antidote solutions to consider to reduce the fear of the frequency of seizures or outright might eliminate them. So here we go.

Let’s dive in. We’re glad you’re here today. Thanks for joining us. All right, let’s dive in here. This is Natural solutions for Epileptic Seizures. Scan the QR code if you have not known about this podcast in the past. Scan that QR code, put in your email and we’ll notify you whenever our next presentation, speaking engagements, wherever around the world I am, you can find me. All right, so this is from epilepsy.com why are we doing this in February of 2026? Did you know the second Monday in February is International Epilepsy Day? Well, this is the notification.

This is why we’re doing this in February of 2026. So what is epilepsy? Epilepsy as defined as the fourth most common neurological disease. Sorry, I’ll go back in the world. If you have epilepsy, surges of electrical activity in your brain can cause reoccurring seizures. I went back again, sorry. Understanding Epilepsy Basics Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes recurring unprovoked seizures. According to epilepsy.com, your doctor may diagnose you with epilepsy if you have two unprovoked seizures or one unprovoked seizure with a high risk of more. How they know that, I don’t know. Not all seizures are the result of epilepsy.

They say the word epilepsy simply means the same thing as seizure disorders. Isn’t that funny? Not all seizures, they said the previous statement, are the result of epilepsy. But the word epilepsy simply means the same thing as seizure disorders. All right, so they’re interchangeable words. What is epilepsy according to epilepsy society.org.uk how seizures start. The brain has millions of nerve cells which control the way we think, move and feel. The brain uses electrical signals to send messages from one nerve cell to another. If those messages are interrupted or the electrical signals do not switch off when they are no longer needed, this interruption or buildup of electrical signals can cause a seizure.

Epilepsy is common. Let’s. Let’s read that part of the article. Anyone can develop epilepsy, they say, at any time of life. It happens in people of all ages. There are over 600,000 people with epilepsy just in the United Kingdom. I thought there was only 600,000 people in the UK altogether. Maybe they’re all having seizures. It’s not a very big place. What causes epilepsy? Well, according to epilepsysociety.org number one is a genetic tendency passed down from one or both parents. That’s my favorite. Let’s blame. Blame our epileptic seizures on your epidemic seizures. A genetic tendency that is not inherited but is a new change in the person’s genes.

Yeah, that didn’t happen unless you took some gene altering vaccine. A structural, sometimes called symptomatic change in the brain such as the brain not developing properly or damage caused by a brain injury, infections like meningitis, a stroke or a tumor and then structural changes due to genetic conditions such as tuberous sclerosis, a rare condition that causes growth in organs including the brain or neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition which can cause growth on the nerves. How is epilepsy diagnosed? Unless someone is having a seizure, there is often no obvious sign that they have epilepsy. Many people will have a one off seizure at some point in their lives.

But a diagnosis of epilepsy is usually made after a person has had more than one seizure. The person who has the seizure may not remember what happened. They want you to know what are some of the triggers from epilepsy society.org for some reason or for some people, certain situations can trigger or set off a seizure. They state triggers don’t cause epilepsy but they can make seizures more likely for a person with epilepsy. These are some of the things they say can trigger seizures for those with epilepsy. Lack of sleep, stress, alcohol and drugs not taking anti seizure medication, asm, anti seizure medications Flashing lights or moving patterns called photosensitive epilepsy periods females a high temperature like a fever.

Febrile seizures they call those. Some foods and drinks are not or not eating properly. I’ll stick there for a second. Just so you know, the most common cause for all seizures before we even go there is a food allergy sensitivity and you either have an IGE response or an IGG response. And there’s easy ways to test what your food allergy is that is triggering your seizures. Some essential oils which are used in complementary therapies. They state the CDC and their article titled epilepsy. They have an article subsection types of seizures. They say there’s focal seizures. Remember earlier in the introduction I said they used to just be called petty, mall and grand mal.

A micro seizure or a big one. Now you’ve got focal seizures. These are also called focal onset seizures. These begin on one side of the brain. They may cause changes in awareness, behavior or sensation or abnormal movements usually on just one side of the body. Then there’s generalized seizures also called generalized onset seizures begin or appear to begin on both sides of the brain at the same time. They usually cause a loss of consciousness or awareness and may also cause abnormal movements on both sides of the body. A person with epilepsy can have more than one type of seizure.

Now when you describe seizures, there’s these four major types of descriptor terms for seizures. You have tonic. Tonic seizures are muscles become stiff. Atonic is sudden, unexpected loss of muscle strength or tone. So they’re completely flaccid. Myoclonic, short, lightning quick jerking movements. Clonic periods of rhythmic shaking or jerking movements. Picture like Parkinson’s, I imagine. How is epilepsy treated? Well, most commonly for the 600,000 in the UK and the millions in America and the millions worldwide, anti seizure medication is what they’re going to Recommend. Up to 70% of people with epilepsy could have their seizures controlled. They say stop having seizures with the right medication.

Anti seizure medication is taken regularly to prevent seizures from happening by reducing the brain’s excessive electrical activity. Anti seizure medication is not used during a seizure to stop it and it does not cure epilepsy. We just want to make sure that’s highlighted. Any of you out there thinking anti seizure medication is a cure for epileptic seizures, it is not a cure for epilepsy. You will be on these for the rest of your life because they’re going to tell you we don’t know how to stop it. Now these are the generic names of the most common epileptic seizure drugs.

And I’m not going to run through all of them. I just want you to see them. They’re in alphabetical order. You can look at them if you’re wondering. The most common that most people know about is called Keppra and you’ll see Kepper at the very bottom of the screen. To the right you’ll see the brand name Keppra. To the left you see the generic name which reads Leva, Tyrasetam, whatever that is. So anyway, you can go through that list. Those are all the generics and it continues because they’re not done with that alphabetical list. Just keeps going all the way to Z.

These are the most common anti seizure medications prescribed by your medical doctor. Now, what we want you to make sure you understand about the most commonly prescribed drugs for epilepsy. I’m going to walk you through what the most common drugs are. This is Keppra, so you’ll see the brand name highlighted underneath. Levotiracetam is the generic name I just fumbled through a second ago. What is it? Look at the bottom. This is from drugs.com is used alone or together with other medicines to treat certain types of seizures in people with epilepsy, including partial onset seizures. Myoclonal seizures and tonic clonic seizures.

This is what it looks like. This is the tablet form. This is the extended release tablet is for adults and children at least 12 years old. This is another version of the same drug. This is for children at least 4 years old who weigh at least 44 pounds. And then there’s other brand forms or used in adults and children at least one month old. So here are some of the known published side effects the FDA knows about, made sure the manufacturer of this drug or any of these drugs are promoting for epileptic seizures. And I just want you to know what the most severe are.

So when you look at the list, there’s going to be a very common, very common side effect in clinical trials with these drugs on humans is anything that created 10% or more of the trial participants taking the drug had this experience. And they’ll show you the percentage to the right of the actual symptom. Common is anything that’s up from 1 to 10% of all participants in a study had had that symptom reported as a side effect to the drug. These are the known toxic side effects of anti seizure drugs. Number one for the nervous system, headaches.

And 14% of all people that take these drugs, somnolence, which means they don’t participate in any activities. They’re just, they literally are just sitting around like malaise is what I imagine psychiatric very common non psychotic behavioral symptoms and up to 38% of people psychotic symptoms and up to 17%. That’s a lot. So just make sure y’ all all are aware. If anybody knows on Keppra and they have psychotic episodes or non psychotic episodes, it’s a lot of them. One in five psychotic, one in two and a half people are going to experience non psychotic behavioral symptoms.

And you can go to drugs.com and actually dive more into what that means or just take non psychotic behavioral symptoms, put it in Google and see all the myriad of symptoms your patient or loved one’s gonna have on KEPPRA. It’s almost 40% of all of them. So if you’re like, man, my kids really changed since we put them on this drug behavioral wise, yeah. 40% of them do up to 10% of all people on Kepper, this generic name of it, Levotiracetam, depression, nervousness, amnesia, can’t remember where they were, what they’re doing, anxiety, hostility, emotional ability, irritability, mood swings, hypersomnia, insomnia, apathy, tearfulness, negativism, oh, panic attacks.

After the FDA approved it, you’ll see it at the bottom. Not sure panic attacks are better for someone with seizures, but maybe you think it is blood conditions or disorders. And up to 10% of people on Kepper they will experience decreased white blood cell count. That now means they’re going to get every infection you can imagine. You’re going to see lower white blood cell count, which your immune system cells defend against cancer and infections. Now you can’t fight it as well. Decreased neutrophil count. This helps with allergy symptoms, histamine reactions, increased lymphocyte counts, leukemia. Anybody? Higher eosinophil counts.

Just know these are some of the side effects. And those are all allergy related. The eosinophils too. Dermatological Steven Johnson syndrome. Look that up. It’s awful. Look up toxic epidermal necrolysis. Oh my gosh. These are side effects after the FDA approved it. But so they don’t have a percentage from the trial. Very common for Kepper, asthenia and fatigue. Then you have 15% fatigue and 1 in 10 respiratory. Those on Keppra will experience up to 10% of them. 1 in 10 will experience increased coughing episodes, rhinitis or runny nose, pharyngitis, sore throat and sinusitis. Sinus infections caused by Keppra.

Now weird. And then GI symptoms. Up to 10% will experience diarrhea, constipation or gastroenteritis. So how many epileptic seizure patients are actually diagnosed with IBS later? Because the drug most commonly put on causes this. 1 in 10 pancreatitis. After the FDA approved it, Diplopia in up to 10% of all people. This is double vision. Double vision for the liver, abnormal liver function test, hepatic failure, liver failure and hepatitis have been reported after the FDA approved it. But there’s no real numbers correlated. But medical doctors reported that a side effect of Kepper after prescribing it, musculoskeletal, muscular weakness.

Well, most of them already have it. Neck pain and up to 10% your immune system. Those on Kepper will see an increase of 13% infections while on Kepper. And that’s because of the decrease in the white blood cell count you saw earlier. It’s no different than going on steroids when you go on a steroid for pain, surgery, whatever. Acne, doesn’t matter. Rosacea, autoimmune disease. When they put you on it, it’s turns off your immune system and they will tell you be careful not to be around a whole lot of sick people or try to stay well because it reduces Your immune system’s cells numbers.

Then for metabolic anorexia is occurs in up to 10%, 1 in 10 of all Keppra prescribed patients. And then for the heart, check this out. 17% of all people in the clinical trial saw an increase in their diastolic blood pressure, particularly in those less than four years old. Well, if you started Keppra or a four year old or younger started Keppra, it doesn’t matter. And you’re you saw a.17% of all people saw an increase in their blood pressure. What do you think’s the next thing you’re going to be prescribed? You’re going to be told you need a high blood pressure drug and you’re going to be told it is genetic just like your seizures are, which is a flat out lie.

No, the drug Keppra causes 17% of people, even in the clinical trial, which are short term to develop diastolic high blood pressure. Lamotrigine, which you’ll see Subvenate, Soupenite, Lamiktal, whatever these brand names are. You know, it’s hard when you don’t have children that you raised because you raised them vaccine free, drug free. I didn’t have any of these seizure issues whatsoever in any of my children, so I never had to treat them ever for any period. So I’m not very familiar with all these generic names of these seizure drugs. But what is lamotrigine? Lamotrigine is an anti epileptic medication also called an anti convulsant.

This drug is used to treat epileptic seizures in adults and children and is used for bipolar disorder as well and manic depression and adults to delay mood episodes. This is what it looks like. This is its black box warning by the fda. Just so y’ all know. Did you know it came with a black box warning which is the most severe warning the FDA tells manufacturers of drugs to give to patients who are prescribed these drugs. Cases of life threatening serious rashes. Life threatening is the keywords life threatening rash. How many of you even knew that you could get a rash on your body that could kill you? Cases of life threatening serious rashes, including Stevens Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis or rash related death have been reported by those using this drug.

Ask your doctor if deadly rashes are right for you. The role of serious rash is greater. The rate of serious rash is greater in pediatric patients than in adults. Take notice because they prescribe this to both. Benign rashes are also caused by this drug lamotrigine. Hope I’m pronouncing that right. It’s immunological impact on your immune system after the FDA approved it. Progressive immunosuppression, lupus like reaction. How many people with seizures were put on this drug and then later diagnosed with lupus and told that’s an autoimmune disease that is genetic? Excuse me. It is published on drugs.com that it is known that lamotrigine given to children and adults with epileptic seizures causes lupus like reactions, which would be butterfly rash, gut sensitivities, joint pain all over your body, you name it.

As far as the nervous system goes, up to 38% of people will develop dizziness, headaches, and 30% ataxia. Picture Parkinson’s. Can’t walk, no gait. That’s 22%, 1 in 4, somnolence and 14%. Why aren’t we engaging in life anymore? Why doesn’t our kid have any hobbies? Why don’t they want to play, go outside, be with their friends, participate in sports anymore? Oh, 14% of everybody on this drug becomes somnolent. Go look that up. Up to 10% of all people experience on this drug, which is for seizures. One in 10 will experience seizure exacerbation, I repeat, a common side effect of lamotrigine prescribed to children and adults for epileptic seizures.

One in 10 will have seizure exacerbation. Seizures more often and more intense. That will happen. Imagine. I wonder if anybody’s ever had this happen to them. They’re diagnosed with seizures, have a kid or daughter have one or two seizures and they’re diagnosed with epilepsy and they put you on this drug and then you saw exacerbation of their seizures. And how many of you have been told it could be the drug? Or how many were told this is why you got to stay on the drug for the rest of your life, because you can’t make it go away.

But the drug is actually causing it and they never knew that. How many people are on this drug and it’s exacerbating, causing their seizures? And no neurologist or general practitioner who prescribed the drug has told them tremors, speech disorders. You see that? That’s up to 10% of all people. How come my kid can’t talk anymore? Now look at this is.1% of all people in the trials on this drug had sudden unexplained death in epilepsy. Okay? So if that’s. Let’s just say there’s 100,000 people in this study, 100,000. Let’s just make it simple. For every 100 people, one.

One for every hundred, one will die from sudden unexplained death in epilepsy caused by lamotrigine, the drug that they were prescribed for epilepsy. And it is a known published side effect and the FDA knows it. The FDA still approved the drug. It’s on the package insert. You’re welcome. Metabolic weight decrease and up to 10%. Weight gain at up to 10% peripheral edema, facial edema. Who doesn’t like their leg swelling and face swelling called angioedema. About psychiatric side effects of this drug. For seizures, lamotrigine. Up to 10% will experience depression, anxiety, irritability, abnormal thinking and nervousness. Up to 1% will be diagnosed with panic attacks, personality disorders, psychosis and suicidal ideation.

Thinking of ways to kill themselves. Just know they know this about these drugs for the eyes. Remember, any of you can find this. It’s on drugs dot com. Go look it up. I’m just shocked that nobody looks this stuff up. All right. Everybody just thinks the FDA approved the drugs. It’s got to be safe and effective, no problems. Why does Dr. Ardis hate this stuff? Oh, because you’re not reading the package insert. They already know. These drugs do horrible things to people. All right. Ocular, Your eyes. Diplopia. Double vision will occur in one in three people.

Blurry vision will happen in 16% of everybody. Visual vision abnormality. What do you can either see or not see? So up to 10% of you, one in 10 will have changes in your vision at a bare minimum for the GI, 29. 20% will experience vomiting from the drug. That’s one in five. That is a poison symptom, by the way. So the body perceives the drug as a poison. The nausea and another 19% hemorrhage. And 10. Up to 10% will hemorrhage internally. Rectal hemorrhaging. You’ll be bleeding out of your ass. One in ten from this drug. Lamotrigine Gene or gyne or Gene.

Ask your doctor if rectal hemorrhage is right for you. Bleeding out of your butthole is right for you. It might be. It might get you out of a lot of meetings at work. Maybe that’s what you’re looking for. Mouth ulcerations. I mean, this is the side effects of the drug rhinitis. And 14% of all people, runny nose, looks like allergies and hay fever. Oh, I got hay fever. No, you don’t. You’ve got side effects of lamotrigine poisoning, skin disorders, rash. And up to 14% contact dermatitis in 1 in 10, dysmenorrhea, vaginitis, inflammation of your vagina, urinary tract infection, libido, increased urinary frequencies.

Up to 10% of all people, 1% will see their libido almost disappear, which is okay. They’ll put you on Viagra, Cialis. Other 10% or more fever will be experienced by 15% accidental injury. And 14% of all of you, muscle skeletal, you’ll see neck pain, up to 10 muscle pain, myalgia, decreased reflexes, back pain. Look at that. Up to 1% arthritis, leg cramps, myasthenia, twitching. Are you one of those 1% waking up with restless leg syndrome. Is that you? Did you know it’s a sign of the drug, a side effect of the drug. Migraines. And up to 10% of all people, if you had seizures, do you think migraines makes your life better? 1 in 10 tachycardia.

And 1% of all people on these drugs. When there’s millions of people on these drugs. These are thousands of people by the way, dealing with now heart issues, tachycardia, then being put on drugs for that. Depakote is the next drug we’ll highlight. It affects the chemicals in the body that may be involved in causing seizures. Depakote is used to treat various types of seizure disorders. This is what it looks like in various forms and sizes. This is your black box warning. I know it looks small on the screen, so I’m not even going to read them all.

Except I’ll read the first one. Hepatotoxicity, which is liver toxicity. Sorry, it’s even small on my screen, which some cases are fatal have come from Depakote. Just so you know, that’s the black box warning from the fda. Ask your doctor if liver failure is right for you. Very common side effects, 10% or more. Abdominal pain, diarrhea, gingiva, gingival disorders, pancreatic. Oh, look at this. Pancreatitis. And 1% of all people on Depakote. Look what it says. Life threatening pancreatitis. Their pain was so bad they died. What about the liver? Severe liver damage including hepatic failure, sometimes resulting in death as reported after the FDA approved it and medical doctor started prescribing it.

Nervous system amnesia, catatonic reaction, convulsions. Those are seizures, people, hypertonia. That’s up to 10% of all people on Depakote will have convulsions. What do you think a seizure is? Speech disorder, stupor, hypertonia, hypertonic reactions, memory impairment, coma. And up to 1% of all people on oh, my God. Coma. Reversible Parkinson’s. Depakote causes Parkinson’s. When you come off of it, the Parkinson’s goes away. That’s what reversible Parkinsonemia is, or Parkinsonism is for the blood thrombocytopenia. Blood clots in your brain, blood, blood clots in your body. That’s up to 10 or more of all people. More than 10% of all people on Depakote.

Hemorrhage, bleeding internally, leukopenia, reduction in white blood cells, and 1% bone marrow failure. What? Have you heard of bone marrow transfusions for leukemia patients? Bone marrow failure is deadly. That’s where your immune system and red blood cells come from. Oh, my God. Now you’re going to need transfusions all the time. All right. Respiratory. More than 10% of you on Depakote will experience flu syndromes and respiratory infections. Reoccurringly. Tachycardia for the heart. And 10% of all people on Depakote. Bradycardia after the FDA approved it. And then hematoma formation is a side effect of Depakote. Published by the FDA.

Up to 10% will experience abnormal dreams, depression, hallucinations from Depakote personality disorders will be diagnosed. This is 1 in 10 on depakote thinking abnormalities. More than 10% will get really nervous and have nervousness tendencies or anxiety or panic attacks diagnosed. Very common. More than 10% of all people in Depakote human trials experienced hair loss on their head. Alopecia. Ask your doctor if hair loss is right for you. I think I’d freak out. Lupus, erythematosis. And one in ten people on Depakote. Oh, my goodness. All right, this is the urinary tract, genital urinary tract, vaginitis, vaginal hemorrhage.

Who likes to bleed out of their vagina? If you want to do that. Depakote does that in up to 1 in 10 people. If you’re like, you know what? I want to get out of work next week, but I don’t really have any symptoms. Maybe I can make my vagina bleed. Go get a prescription for Depakote or go in a back alley. Do it on the black market. Get some Depakote overdose on it. You’ll bleed out of your vagina. Polycystic Ovarian syndrome is diagnosed as a result of Depakote alone Male infertility, enuresis, urinating in your bed at night.

That’s what enuresis is. Anorexia. And 10% or more of everybody taking Depakote musculoskeletal. We’ll highlight this. Osteoporosis and fractures in 1% of all people. Crazy muscle pain, arthritis. More than 10% of all people on Depakote experience amblyopia, blurred vision and diplopia. Double vision, asthenia, 10% or more. Oh, that’s weakness of all your muscles by the way. Deafness, fever and 10 of all of you, vertigo, tinnitus, ringing in your ears. If you want to have deafening roaring in your ears, take that. And now it’s time to dive into what Dr. Dr. Ardis recommends to deal with epilepsy naturally.

So sit back and enjoy. We’re going to read some highlights from from peer reviewed published clinical trials on specific vitamins, minerals, an amino acid, specifically one that has shown a lot of promise for reducing the frequencies, durations, intensity or just absolving epileptic seizures. So this is what we want you to share with everybody at home. Alright? So this is from the Nigerian Journal of Clinical Practice. Serum magnesium in adult patients with idiopathic unknown why and symptomatic epilepsy in Northeast Nigeria. Alteration in the homeostasis of trace elements such as magnesium may play a role in the development of epileptic seizures.

This study aims to investigate the levels of blood level magnesium in people with idiopathic we don’t know why generalized epileptic seizures and symptomatic seizures. Clinical and experimental investigations have shown that magnesium has an important role in neuronal nerve excitability, which is what happens during a seizure and depletion causes a marked depletion of magnesium, causes a marked very obvious irritability of the nervous system, eventually resulting in epileptic seizures. I have been called the magnesium doctor all over the world for years. There’s a reason magnesium is amazing hypomagnesemia. Low magnesium alters calcium movement, destabilizing excitable membranes and exerts a voltage dependent blockage of the NMDA receptor channel.

For all you nerds want to know how magnesium works? These channel abnormalities associated with low magnesium are thought to play a role in epilepsy. Well, how many neurologists are recommending magnesium to children with epilepsy or adults? Our study shows that patients with IGE idiopathic general epilepsy had significantly lower magnesium and calcium compared with those with symptomatic seizure and controls. Similar studies have revealed lower magnesium levels in epileptics than in regular people without epilepsy and an associated significant increase in the blood level of calcium levels in epileptics. And I need to stop here for a second. Everybody look at me.

Everybody listen. There’s only one mineral that makes a muscle contract voluntarily or involuntarily and that is calcium. Seizures are involuntary contractions of muscles. That’s excess calcium. Magnesium is the mineral that initiates relaxation of a contracted muscle. So even for your heart, for example, when it beats, calcium initiates the contraction. Magnesium relaxes it. What are seizures? Excess excitability and contraction of all muscles. So when they’re saying here is. They’ve seen similar studies where magnesium’s low carbon causing epileptic seizure and calcium was too high causing excitability of muscle contraction and seizures. That’s very important to remember. By the way, one of the reasons I don’t recommend calcium supplemented.

These findings suggest that lower blood levels of magnesium may play a role in people with IgE idiopathic general epilepsy. However, no correlation was found with seizure frequency. Okay, so how often they came wasn’t really different. But those who had seizures and those who didn’t, it was lower magnesium in all of those groupta. Researcher observed significantly lower blood levels of magnesium in patients with idiopathic epilepsy. We don’t know why they have it than in controls. And the blood levels of magnesium level was lower in those with severe epilepsy compared with those with mild to moderate epilepsy. Ask your neurologist, ask your primary care doctor of your epileptic loved one if magnesium is right for them.

Because it is. Many monogenic epileptics are ion channelopathies. Ion channels ions are sodium, magnesium, you name it. Channelopathies and seizure can pre evoke, be provoked by many different insults in those ions. Magnesium ions, salt ions, calcium ions in several different brain networks. Thus, low serum magnesium level may serve as a trigger. The use of magnesium supplemented was associated with decreased number of seizure days per month in drug resistant patients. So if someone with seizures was given Keppra, for example, or Depakote and they did not see a reduction in their seizures when you put them on magnesium, you saw a decreased number of seizure days per month.

And therefore the use of oral magnesium supplemented may be a useful adjunct in addition. Adjunct means addition in the treatment of epilepsy. You’re welcome. Penn State University Plasma magnesium and calcium levels in Children with epilepsy in Lagos, 45 children with epilepsy and 45 people without epilepsy were recruit were recruited from the Pediatric neurology unit of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital. The blood level of magnesium and calcium was significantly lower in the patients compared to the controls. Conclusion Magnesium and calcium levels are lower in the epileptic children compared to the controls during the seizure free periods. Ask your doctor if magnesium is right for you.

Next is from the journal called Nutrition Online. This is a very reputable medical journal online. Dietary intake of magnesium and the risk of epilepsy in middle aged now we’re outside of children like we just discussed middle aged and older Finnish men from Finland. This is a 22 year follow up study in the general population. A 22 year study. That’s a long time. It’s quarter of a century. This study found that an inverse association between dietary intake of magnesium and the risk of epilepsy among middle aged Finnish men. The less magnesium they supplemented or ate, the more seizure and epilepsy events they had.

This association remained significant after adjustments for a number of potential confounders. We included other demographic statistics. Smoking, age, alcohol. It didn’t matter if magnesium was low. You saw higher amounts of epilepsy in those 22 year analysis. We also found a direct association between CRP, C reactive protein concentration and inflammatory marker, indicative also of heart attacks and the risk of epilepsy. We considered the possible role and interaction between magnesium and this inflammatory marker CRP concentration in subjects with epilepsy and found that the inverse association between magnesium and the risk of epilepsy was not strongly mediated by the inflammatory process.

So keep reading. Watch this. This is the first protective study prospective study to consider the association between magnesium and CRP and the risk of epilepsy. And it showed an inverse and significant association between magnesium being supplemented and and epilepsy risk. I can show you many more of these studies. I’m just giving you some of the really exciting ones that really summarize it. Well in layman’s terms I thought for you to see children now adults. A randomized open label follow up study compared the efficacy and tolerability of a drug for epilepsy called adrenocorted tropic hormone plus magnesium sulfate and acth, the seizure drug alone for the treatment of infant spasms.

A group of subjects who received both the drug and magnesium were 73.7% seizure free at 12 weeks. So three months of taking the drug and magnesium 73% no longer had seizures compared with only 47% of the same control group who only got the drug. So they saw an improvement of seizure free activity in almost half of all the children in this study with just the drug but when they took the drug and magnesium. So ask your neurologist, anybody on Keppra Depakote if adding magnesium would help reduce the severity the fear and anxiety mom and dad around your children having seizures.

Because 73.7% were free of seizures at week 1212 with magnesium added to their drug. Case Reports Case report studies have also shown that oral magnesium supplementation can control seizures in infants with low magnesium. Did you know that? Do pediatricians recommend magnesium to infants who have seizures which by the way are most likely caused by trauma at birth or vaccine injuries? I’m going to repeat. Case report studies have also shown that oral magnesium supplementation can control seizure in infants. Meaning you can give magnesium supplement orally to infants who have low magnesium. And in animal studies low blood magnesium concentration is associated with seizures.

A deficiency in dietary intake. This is another animal study with rats, a deficiency in dietary intake of magnesium was associated with a reduction in the thresholds and latencies of seizures. In contrast, the administration of three weeks of magnesium supplementation was shown to increase those thresholds what it took to induce a seizure and and the latent periods of seizures. So they saw an improvement. Magnesium supplementation has also been shown to enhance the efficacy of anticonvulsant properties of a drug called valproate in drug induced treated rats. Inflammation may play a role in the pathophysiology of epilepsy. Inflammation in both animal and human studies have suggested that magnesium may decrease inflammatory markers just like crp.

I just showed you in the last study. In humans a low intake of magnesium was associated with higher levels of CRP concentration which leads to more epileptic seizures. I just showed you that statement in the last research study. In animals, infused magnesium deficiency was associated with higher levels of pro inflammatory cytokines like CRP and such as tumor, necrotic factor and interleukin 6 more inflammatory markers. In this present study a higher concentration of CRP was significantly associated with a risk of epilepsy. And a dietary intake of magnesium stopped the association of CRP causing epilepsy. So regardless if they’re going to blame your neurologist or medical doctor is going to blame that you have inflammatory markers in your blood triggering your seizures.

Magnesium still works regardless of the inflammatory markers like crp. It doesn’t matter. You still take magnesium and the seizures go down or stop altogether. Now for the nerds out There you can read this slide. I really, when I went through this, I really didn’t want to read this to you because I don’t want to confuse you. I think some people get lost in this stuff, but I think this is important for you to read. For all the nerds out there who know anything about seizures, you may know this terminology. NMDA receptor antagonists, which are drugs for seizures have been shown to have anticonvulsant properties reducing convulsions.

And magnesium is a non competitive NMDA receptor agonist antagonist. Magnesium behaves like that drug called NMDA receptor antagonist and that is it is able. Magnesium is able to manage neurotransmission through blocking voltage dependent NMDA receptors. In addition, magnesium is needed to bind the majority of monoamines to their receptors. Magnesium seems to be a cofactor for the synthesis, the development and making of the human body of gaba. Synaptic GABA has a potent, potent, potent anticonvulsant property. And GABA synthesis reduces the risk of seizures. Magnesium helps to create more GABA in the body. GABA production in the body, as that goes up, reduces the risk of seizures.

You’re welcome. Now watch this. BDNF which I had to go look up, Has a critical role in the modification of the structure and function of the central nervous system as well as a neuroprotective effect. Magnesium has been shown to significantly increase the expression of bdnf. So let’s go back and read this. BDNF beginning of sentence. Has a critical role in the modification of the structure and function of the central nervous system as well as neuroprotective. Magnesium has been shown to significantly increase the expression of this. This substance that prevents neuro damage. It’s neuroprotective. So I want to show you what BDNF stands for because I didn’t know.

BDNF stands for brain derived neurotropic factor which is a protein that supports the survival, growth and differentiation of brain cells called neurons and spinal cord cells. It plays a crucial role in learning, memory and the overall health of the nervous system. According to Medline plus Magnesium read that last statement. Has been shown to significantly increase the expression of bdnf. Significantly increase this thing. And what does this thing do? BDNF read above? It plays a crucial role in learning, memory and the overall health of the nervous system. Well, how many of you have children? Husbands, spouses, wives? Have you ever said I want dumb children? I want ones that struggle in school who can’t remember anything.

Struggle with learning, you might want to start giving them magnesium. Regardless if they have seizures or not. Magnesium has been shown to significantly increase the expression of bdnf. In conclusion, a high teri, a higher dietary intake of magnesium, was associated with a lower incident of epilepsy. And this association was slightly mediated by CRP inflammation. Now, I’m done with the magnesium stuff. We’ve showed you children magnesium studies. We’ve showed you the scientific, nerdy stuff. We’ve showed you Finnish studies on adults in the general population over 22 years. Magnesium for epilepsy. Magnesium for epilepsy. There’s thousands of these studies.

We just gave you some of our favorites. Now, this is from Neurobiology of Disease, a very reputable neurological medical journal online. An elusive causal link between epilepsy and vitamin D in children. Just for all of you who may be new, may be new children and adults do not have epileptic seizures because they’re deficient in a drug of any kind. They’re not deficient in Keppra. They’re not deficient in Depakote. They’re not. No. They are mineral and vitamin deficient. And you’re about to learn about some many more of these. But I’m gonna try to run through these quickly.

Remember, you can download this PowerPoint. Go research this all you want. The links to the actual research studies we’re quoting here are right there on the screen and they’re in the PowerPoint. An elusive causal link between epilepsy and vitamin D in children. Vitamin D and epilepsy. Christian, a researcher, and his team in 1974 first proposed the promising results that the frequency of epileptic SEIZ was decreased in a controlled therapeutic trial on 23 epileptic inpatients after treatment with vitamin D in addition to anticonvulsant drugs. So they gave them vitamin D with the drug afterwards. A neuroprotective effect of vitamin D and a rodent model of epilepsy was unveiled in 1984.

I’m showing you these dates because in human trials, animal trials, they have seen vitamin D has been working. This is 50 years now, 1974. This is 50 years, a half a century. How many neurologists are recommending vitamin D after 50 years of positive research findings? In 1979, three years after I was born, Offerman and his team first reported the high prevalence of low vitamin D status among children with epilepsy. Another study presented that 4% had deficient and 51% had insufficient blood levels of vitamin D in children with drug Resistant epilepsy. Got any kids on drugs that’s not working to reduce their symptoms? Vitamin D since 1979 has been proven to do it.

Might want to ask your neurologist why are they not recommending vitamin D and magnesium after watching this show. Dr. Dr. Ardis is doing the research. Why aren’t they? Sheilaas and his team reported a 25% prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in an unselected population of children with epilepsy. Similarly, a study conducted on on consecutive epileptic patients observed a vitamin D deficiency in 45% of those patients. According to the very recent meta analysis looking at a whole bunch of research studies within the pediatric epileptic population children with epileptic seizures, the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency stands at 52% of all those children aged 5 to 18 years old and 46.7% for those aged 0 to 5 years old.

Sone Mez, another researcher reported a significantly lower level of vitamin D in 60 children newly diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. This means we don’t know why they have seizures compared to 101 healthy controls even after adjusting for the sampling season. Treatment naive children no drugs with no treat Children with epilepsy never been treated with drugs. Treatment naive children with epilepsy and adolescents with genetic generalized epilepsy have a 40.5% prevalence of vitamin D deficiency. This deficiency was associated with increased frequency of seizures, longer disease duration, having seizures for a longer period of time and an earlier age of onset.

Consistently, the average blood level of vitamin D in those children with newly diagnosed epilepsy were significantly lower than those in healthy children. Generally for those older, enzyme inducing anticonvulsant drugs like phenytoin, whatever that is, Pht, pheno, phenobarbital, I know that one and Carbaza Pine, they are capable of reducing vitamin D levels. So there’s a causal link between vitamin D levels being low, leading to more seizures. Did you know? These three common drugs given to seizure patients for epilepsy, those drugs by themselves reduce vitamin D levels, which increases your risk for more seizures. Ask your doctor if lower vitamin D levels are right for you and why, if your children are on this, any of those three drugs, why are they not prescribing vitamin D alongside the drug read below.

Enzyme inducing drugs for seizures can reduce vitamin D levels in children with epilepsy. That’s according to three research studies from 2016, 2019 and 2014. And then there’s another classic anti seizure drug. A medication called valproate was confirmed to cause vitamin D deficiency, which leads to more epileptic seizures. We just showed you the studies. And that’s been confirmed in three different research studies too, by different teams in 2020, 2018 and again in 2020. Chris Jansen, in his research study in 1974, there were 23 patients, including both children and adults, with epileptic seizures in the treatment group. And they received 4,000 international units per day of vitamin D for 28 days.

And then after that they got 16,000 international units. Okay, so per day for the subsequent 28 days. So 4,000 international units for the first 28 days. And they went up to 16,000 international units for another 28 days or a month. The control group received a placebo for the initial 28 days, then was followed up by 8,000 international units of vitamin D for the next 28 days. Their findings indicated that vitamin D supplementation effectively reduced the average frequencies of seizures by 67 to 71% compared to the initial frequency, confirming its anticonvulsant effects. Anybody out there with epileptic seizure, Children and adults who don’t have those people on magnesium or vitamin D, wouldn’t you love to know this information? That within two months of giving 18 or 16,000 international units of vitamin D or just 8,000 international units, researchers have already confirmed as far back as 1974 that you can reduce the frequency of seizures by 67 to 71%.

There is no seizure drug that has those numbers. Aren’t you glad you hang out with the Dr. Dr. Ardis Show? I am. I love learning this stuff. A retrospective study in children and adults with epilepsy found that the higher levels of vitamin D and the use of vitamin D supplements were associated with a 40% reduced risk in seizure activity. And that was three, four years ago, 2022. Our recent retrospective study also supported these findings in children with epilepsy concerning the potential of vitamin D supplementation in treating epilepsy. In treating epilepsy, that’s Dong and his team in 2022.

The results revealed that vitamin D supplemented not only corrected the blood levels of vitamin D in children with epilepsy, but also significantly improved seizure. How many people want their children to have more seizures? How easy is it to get our vitamin D3K2 supplement in our magnesium complex and start having your kids take it? But the proportion of seizure free responses increased from an initial 49% to a final 76%. From the beginning to the end of the study. 76% of all of them had were seizure free. Why don’t neurologists know this? Vitamin D3 supplemented for seizures magnesium for seizures children age 2 to 16 years old suffering from epilepsy.

In another research study in 2024, they assess the impact of vitamin C supplementation on Seizure control. In 2024 the results demonstrated that after a six month evaluation, the proportion of children who were seizure free rose from 69 to 83.6% of all of them were seizure free after six months of supplementing vitamin D. Children 2 to 16 years old. This is two years ago. This is not old studies is new. Ask your doctor if vitamin D is right for you. Now look at the last statement. 83.6% following single monotherapy means single monotherapy and vitamin D supplementation. Incredible.

Well, what else do we know in an adult population? Halo and his team showed that vitamin D supplementation resulted in improved seizure control in patients with pharmaco resistant epilepsy. Adults that had drugs that never worked for epilepsy they saw improvements in vitamin D supplementation. In those patients with low levels of vitamin D. They received an oral dose of 40,000 to 200,000 international units Bolus of vitamin D in order to normalize their vitamin D deficiency. They were so deficient they had to take up 200,000 international units. We recommend 10,000 a day. Subsequently the treatment comprised a daily maintenance dose of 2,000 to 2,600 international units.

They had to give them a whole bunch to get their vitamin D up to normal levels in their blood. For those patients with normal blood levels of vitamin D the results showed the reduction in seizure numbers was significant with an average reduction of 40% compared to the baseline when they started. Vitamin D deficiency exacerbates seizures. Pre treatment of vitamin D mitigates them via seizures via mtor dependent suppression of autophagy effects reversed by MTOR inhibitor raa. All the nerdy stuff confirming the pathways critical role. These findings suggest the neuroprotective effect of vitamin D might contribute to exerting anti seizure effects.

Quote medical doctors researching vitamin D supplementation. All right, so now you’ve heard about magnesium, you’ve heard about vitamin D. Now let’s get into some of my favorites and just say no. In case you’re wondering, does this really apply to epilepsy? Epsom epilepsy? Look at the research journal that’s published this online, the medical journal. It’s called Epilepsy research. Deficiency of selenium and zinc as a causative factor for idiopathic intractable epilepsy. What? Have you ever heard of a neurologist recommending selenium and Zinc for seizures ever. I have never. There have been numerous reports on the association of trace elements, trace minerals and epilepsy, adding more complexity to the situation.

Oxygen radical formation has been found to be both the cause and the result of epileptic seizures. You see the researchers there, Selenium abbreviated se, zinc abbreviated zn, and copper Cu are three trace elements that are involved in the metabolism, the breakdown of oxygen radicals. Selenium is involved in the reduction of peroxide by participating in the structure of gpx, which is a very important antioxidant enzyme, having to deal with glutathione. Low levels of selenium and glutathione peroxidase have been found in patients with epilepsy. Oh, really? Yes. In another study that was conducted on two patients with intractable epilepsy, the seizures ceased with selenium supplementation in addition to antiepileptic therapy, which suggested that the benefit of the supplementation and which was confirmed by the return of the seizures after they stopped selenium, but not the drug.

This is amazing, by the way. All right. Notice they only give drugs prescribed for seizures. This is awesome. I hope you guys are seeing how cool this is in this study. Let’s read it again. It’s awesome. Two patients with intractable epilepsy. The seizures ceased with selenium supplementation when they were already on antiepileptic drugs, which suggested the benefit of the supplementation. And it was confirmed it was the selenium that stopped the epileptic seizures. They ceased to happen. No more seizures in these intractable epileptic 2 patients. They confirmed it was the selenium in combination with the drug that did it by the return of the seizures after cessation, after stopping the selenium supplementation.

So they’re still on the drug. They still had the seizures. That was in 1994 by Ram Acres and his team. Ask your doctor if selenium is right for you. Antiepileptic therapy was the main cause of the decreased selenium levels per se. You see that the drug they give children for seizures was the main cause of the decreased selenium levels. Wait, what? Lower selenium, you have more seizures. The drugs they give you for seizures reduce selenium in the children. Children with epilepsy have also been found to suffer from relative malnutrition, which adds to the severity of the intractability of their seizures.

Anti seizure drugs cause your children and yourself to lose the minerals that stop you from having seizures or prevent you from having more frequent seizures or stop them Altogether, if you supplement them. In our study, a significant decrease in selenium and zinc levels was found in patients with idiopathic idiopathic epilepsy and there were no differences in the gender or ages. The significantly decreased levels of selenium in our study reinforced the results of Ashrafi in 2007, who also found low levels of selenium in patients with intractable epilepsy. Our results seem to positively correlate with their results regarding low selenium levels in patients with mostly idiopathic epilepsy.

This is the first study to evaluate trace element levels in patients with idiopathic epilepsy. And it showed that the blood levels of selenium and zinc levels in patients with this type of epilepsy were significantly lower than those of normal children of the same age who did not have seizures. So ask your doctor if zinc and selenium are right for you. Now for the last. I would like to say this is the last. This is the last nutrient we’re going to present. Taurine is an amino acid, Taurine as an added treatment to valproic acid which is used to treat seizures and it modulates epileptic seizures and improves the brain aminergic system in ptz drug induced to cause seizures.

They use this drug called PTZ in rats to make them have seizures. So I want you to know the medical profession knows how to induce seizures in mammals. They do it with chemicals, which is why I educate all of you on why you should drink pure water. You don’t know what they’re putting in there. In the present study, pretreatment with taurine as an adjuvant to the drug VPA showed a significant decrease in seizure duration and seizure intensity. This is the drug. Junient and his team in 2009 reported that treatment with taurine at 150 and 300 milligrams per kilogram.

Twelve hours before a drug treatment, another epileptic drug induced a notable reduction in seizures for all taurine dosages tested in the medicine medication treated mice. The most significant effect in the drug treated mice was obtained with a taurine dosage of 150 milligrams per kilogram, the lowest dose of the two. Or sorry, not the lowest. They did 75 milligrams, 150 and 300. It’s the middle dose that was the most significant. So just, just imagine who this applies to. Do you know anybody on Keppra? Depakote has seizures? Selenium, zinc, you just learned about vitamin D, magnesium, and now you’re Learning about taurine, all the studies I’ve already shown you, when you combine any of those with drugs, you see less frequent seizures, which is a plus for everybody.

The combination of taurine and the drugs for seizure as a pretreatment significantly improved the concentration and restored the concentration of free amino acids, monoamines and its metabolites in the cortex of the brain, in the hippocampal regions of the rat brain as compared to the group pretreated with the drugs for seizures alone. Taurine is the most abundant free amino acid in the mammal brain and is critical for proper brain development and functioning. Taurine has also been considered as a neuroprotector following injuries. Taurine attenuates or stops the release of D aspartate, the analog of L glutamate, in mouse corticosterotrol slices with chemically induced ischemia.

Those who have chemically induced stroked rat brains. Taurine prevents all of it. It’s amazing. It has been suggested that taurine protects neurons against glutamate excitotoxicity by preventing glutamate induced membrane depolarization. Fancy terms. Just read the next. Taurine may have a role in establishing equilibrium between the excitatory seizure activity and inhibitory processes in the brain. As an antiepileptic taurine, its activity on GABA receptors reverses seizures mediated by a GABA antagonist, the drug called picrotoxin. Through delaying the start of seizures, taurine delays the start of any seizures even with drug induced seizures. And the present study assured these results via its action on improving the neurochemical parameters.

The current study revealed that the CO treatment with taurine is a pretreatment to the PTZ injection that causes seizures in rats. Is promising and it could improve the neurological and therapeutic effects of drugs used to induce and treat chemically induced seizure animals. You’re an animal. You’re a filthy animal. Remember, home alone. All right, so this is our magnesium complex. You’ll see the doses there. Magnesium is right for epileptic seizures. Vitamin D3 and K2, perfectly dosed selenium. There’s your 200 micrograms zinc. Plus there’s your 30mg taurine, your 500mg. So easy. Anybody with epilepsy, just open these capsules, pour them into anything, mix them into a blender, smoothie, whatever, for your kids.

But I’m not done. I have one more thing I need to show you. These are our multivitamins and they have a lot of the zinc selenium in Our adult multivitamin gummies. They can be taken by children too, if you want to. Still not done. Healthgrades.com can dehydration cause seizures? How does dehydration cause provoked seizures? I’m gonna, I’m gonna read this to you. Being dehydrated is one possible cause of electro imbalances. This refers to changes in the balance of minerals known as electrolytes. Some minerals are zinc, we’ve already talked about selenium, magnesium. Electrolytes have many important roles and contribute to nutrition, waste management and organ function.

Due to this, electro imbalances can significantly impact health, including the function of the brain. As a result, sometimes severe dehydration leading to electrolyte imbalances may cause a provoked seizure as a symptom. What are the symptoms of electrolyte electrolyte imbalance? So anybody out there wondering, well, I have seizures or I know somebody with seizures. I ask you, do those individuals or yourself have any of the symptoms on the screen which are evidence symptoms you will have when you are electrolyte imbalance, which are minerals you will be low in? When you’re dehydrated, you’ll see fatigue, nausea, constipation, dizziness, weakness, dark urine, dry mouth, dry skin.

Is that you? Here’s some serious symptoms of electrolyte imbalance. Change in alertness, behavioral changes such as confusion, delirium, lethargy, hallucinations, delusion, sunken eyes, rapid heartbeat, no urine output, poor skin elasticity. That’s why hydrate complete was born. 40 essential nutrients lost in every drop of sweat, loss from dehydration, urinary tract infections, you name it.
