Summary

➡ The Canadian Prepper talks about how the European Commission is launching its first EU-wide stockpiling strategy in response to increasing threats of war, economic crises, cyber attacks, and pandemics. This strategy includes stockpiling food, water, fuel, raw materials, medical supplies, and personal protective equipment. The EU is also investing in medical research and development, and improving transport and logistics infrastructure for rapid crisis response. Citizens are being encouraged to maintain personal emergency kits as part of this preparedness strategy.

Hi folks, CanadianPrepper here. I want to bring something to your attention today, and it’s the European’s alteration of its preparedness strategy. Just today we have learned that the European Commission has launched its first ever EU-wide stockpiling strategy. Okay? Now, as I’ve talked about at length on this channel in recent years, the preparedness measures and the lengths that countries are going to with respect to Western countries preparing for potential disasters, specifically war, economic crises, cyber attacks, or pandemics, has been accelerated drastically. And this new information that we’ve received today confirms that indeed they are preparing for a major event in the near term.

Now, if you follow the Prepper News Channel, which is a spin-off of the Canadian Prepper Channel where we do daily updates, cover all kinds of current events as they are disaster-related, we interview various guests and experts in the fields of geopolitics and economics and military matters, you’ll know that the war in Ukraine is actually intensifying since Trump was elected. In fact, an interesting statistic that is worth noting, and really speaks volumes, is the fact that under Biden’s term, the largest ever amount of drones fired within a 24-hour period from Russia in the direction of Ukraine was 180.

Yesterday, that record was smashed when 780 drones were flown from Russia to Ukraine, and it was not a flash-in-the-pan anomaly. In fact, in recent weeks, we have seen with regularity, days in which 500-plus drones have been fired in that direction, and the Ukrainians are reciprocating in kind. So the war is increasing. The rhetoric between Trump and Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly more hostile, and the veneer of civility and bromance that was supposed to end this war within 24 hours has seemingly all but subsided. So the EU, in being proactive, is looking towards Providence.

Now, prompted by rising threats of potential war with Russia, of course, pandemics, blackouts, and natural disasters, they’re now completely overhauling their stockpiling strategy. Not only are they simply acquiring provisions and preparing their populations on a nation-state level, but now this is EU-wide, European Union-wide. Of course, Denmark and many other prime ministers and presidents across the EU have warned that within the next two to five years, they could be in a direct conflict with Russia. Many people aren’t too sure what that means, considering one presumes that that would immediately go nuclear.

But maybe it wouldn’t, for all we know, these things could play out much longer than we originally anticipate. So here is what they are starting to stockpile in order to mitigate any sort of supply chain crisis that might arise from being cut off from not only Russia, but also China, which of course is the manufacturing hub of the planet. They’re now stockpiling more food, more water, more fuel, and more raw materials. Europe is largely dependent on a lot of these things, importing a lot of these things, and I would encourage people to try to emulate this preparedness strategy.

I always say, if you want to be a proficient prepper, just take a look at what the government is doing. If there is a strategic reserve in a given class of commodity, then that is something you should seek to emulate, whether it is oil, in the form of fuel, stockpiling the legal amount of fuel, and making sure that you’re keeping it stabilized, and making sure that you’re rotating it regularly, whether that’s having a strategic grain reserve of your own, whether it’s having a strategic bullion, gold reserve, if you have disposable income, and so on and so forth.

Medical supplies, including antibiotics, vaccines, personal protective equipment, diagnostics, and therapeutics. The United States has a strategic stockpile of medications, and in fact it is located covertly across the country in numerous locations. The locations of these facilities is secret. They’re in unmarked buildings, because in times of crisis, this relatively small amount of medical supplies is going to have to be distributed to the broader population. But it is entirely insufficient to meet the needs of the better part of the population, especially in a national crisis, never mind a regional crisis. We’ve all known how the government has dropped the ball regionally, whether it’s natural disasters or man-made disasters.

The government simply does not have the surge capacity to deal with mass casualty events and the disruptions that arise from said events. They’re also stockpiling CBRN gear, so that is personal protective equipment that could protect them against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear events. That could be things like gas masks, and hazmat suits, and overboots, and gloves, butyl rubber gloves, and Geiger counters, things for testing, and things for decontamination. So the governments are preparing those things in Europe. Critical minerals, and even nuclear fuel. In fact, the strategic stockpile of many Eastern countries goes into far more depth.

China, for example, stockpiles things like copper, things that are essential for them to build weapons of war. So in such case that there is a slowdown in the global supply chain, or globalization, and global trade in general, they can continue to build the weapons that they’re going to need to fight the war. In some of the bunkers in Russia in World War II, there were stockpiles of various types of metal that were used to manufacture different pieces of military equipment. So that’s the extent to which governments will go. It’s not just about food, and medicine, and ammunition.

It’s about the raw materials that are used to make the weapons that will be needed, and to rebuild critical infrastructure. 200 million euros are being allocated to HERA to support medical, R&D, and emergency response. Really a drop in the bucket when you consider it. But nonetheless, this is part of a much broader move, and of course, this is the EU. So this is not individual countries. Individual countries are spending a lot more, but in a lot of people’s opinions, not nearly enough. That 5% increase in NATO military spend is likely going to, a lot of that is going to find its way into this sort of critical infrastructure of fortification as well.

Gaps and duplication in member states’ reserves will be identified and addressed. So the countries who are prepared, and who have been preparing for long periods of time like Finland, and places like Poland, places that they’re really ready to fight a war, maybe not as ready as they need to be, but much more ready than places like France and the UK, they might unfortunately be forced to share their stuff with other countries. I don’t know what sort of enforcement mechanism is going to be in play here, but that’s the idea. Upgrade to transport and logistics infrastructure for rapid crisis deployment.

This is the Schengen approach, where they want to ensure that should German tanks need to rapidly get to the front in Poland or wherever. Let’s not joke about that, but that they can do this quickly. So they’re trying to build these massive corridors that are going to facilitate this rapid military deployment to the front line. Citizens are encouraged to maintain a 72-hour personal emergency kit. Well, that really is just the start. One of the best emergency guides, in fact, that I’ve ever written, or written, ever read, and in fact, I did a video dedicated to it.

I believe it was the Latvian 72-hour guide. It was kind of disguised, however, because it wasn’t really a 72-hour guide. It was how to prepare for the end of the world, essentially, and how to prepare for specifically a war-torn environment. And they went into great depth about what to do in certain situations in order to evade capture, in order to deal with combatives, and numerous things like that. So when they say 72 hours, they don’t want to spook the population. If you were to tell the population, hey, you need to prepare for a month, or for weeks, or for worst-case scenario, six months to a year, that would really start to scare people a lot.

For starters, a lot of people don’t have the resources in order to do that. So when you tell people that, they could potentially freak out and resist whatever decisions that you’re making as it pertains to foreign policy. And you don’t want those protests getting in the way of things. There’s going to be medical and biological preparedness, medical countermeasures, accelerator launched to support health, innovation, and production. Wastewater surveillance is going to be implemented for early disease outbreak detection. And of course, cyber is going to play a role here, because all of these systems could potentially be vulnerable to cyber attacks.

A diagnostic hub set to launch by 2026, and therapeutics hub by 2027. The general idea is to build resilience against disruptions to essential goods and services, and create flexible, region-wide, specific preparedness measures in such case of a war risk in Finland, or a wildfire risk in Spain. Let’s be honest, this is about war. But of course, they’re going to discuss it in the context of these other potential disasters. But the reality is they’re really preparing the population to engage in a war with the East. Shift preparedness from a secondary concern to a frontline defense priority.

That’s pretty serious. Considering at one point, people were laughed at for watching this channel. And when people did watch this channel, they had to do it in secret. They had to turn the volume down to make sure that the people in the next room couldn’t hear what we were talking about. Now, it is all the rage. Avoid repeating national level hoarding and disorganization seen during the COVID crisis. Now, in terms of what specific countries are doing, these are things that you may or may not know. In the United States, 2.8 billion is going for nuclear satellite upgrades, nuclear command and control upgrades that was just announced today.

Arms to Ukraine will, of course, be resumed. Trump is backing sanctions on Russian energy to the tune of 500% tariffs if any country decides to buy Russian oil. Now, that’s dependent on whether or not there’s some sticking points with respect to getting that passed at this point. But essentially, Trump wants the power to veto it and not need congressional approval to remove the sanctions if he so chooses. But it appears as though that’s the direction we’re moving and that is clearly targeting the Chinese, which will be very confrontational. There’s a lot of rhetoric that is just generally escalating.

In the United Kingdom, they are now going to be coordinating their nuclear deterrent more closely with France. That was also just announced today. They’re going to be doing a strategic defense review, which is going to include powers to mobilize the reserves and industry and protect critical infrastructure, including undersea cables. National Resilience Academy and the civil defense exercises have been revived. There’s been a strategic focus on critical infrastructure, cyber, and as indicated, undersea cables. In France, there was a civilian crisis manual that is currently in development. Their stockpiling guidance was issued, expanding missile and air defense programs.

So we’re seeing rapid militarization across the EU. The nuclear deterrent remains independent, but it is now being coordinated with the UK. And indeed, France has offered to extend a nuclear umbrella to other nations that don’t have a domestic nuclear capability. In Germany, Operation Deutschland outlines NATO mobilization logistics. Of course, they’ve been preparing their population or advising their population to prepare for disruptions and prepare for war. Civil infrastructure prepping for wartime disruption, major defense spending increases, and a domestic stockpiling push. In the Nordic states, restored Cold War style defense systems and bunkers.

Finland is mandating conscription and citizen preparedness. Sweden is mass ordering artillery shells and reissuing civil defense manuals. Just today, they put in the largest ever order for artillery shells, which is still relatively small. I believe it’s 60,000 artillery shells. Now, to put in perspective, that’s what Ukraine probably uses in a month. So I guess it’s better than nothing. Poland and the Baltics, which of course includes Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, will be accelerating troop buildups and NATO integration. They’re anticipating the placement of a German brigade there in the coming months or years, knowing the pace that these things move.

Massive infrastructure upgrades for the US and NATO troop movements there. Lithuania is expanding its bomb shelters. Of course, they backed out of the Ottawa Treaty on mining their borders, so they very well may start to mine their borders. And they’re going to be reinstating conscription. Poland is also heavily reinforcing its border defenses and expanding its armed production and the acquisition of armaments from other countries. Chief among them, of course, is the United States. In the Netherlands and Belgium, in Rotterdam and Antwerp, prepping for NATO military throughput, very similar to the Schengen strategy.

They pledged to reach 5% of GDP in defense spending, and emergency logistics drills are underway for port lockdowns and evacuations. As I indicated, the European Union as a whole is also prepared to fight a war, or they think they are, they’re getting ready to anyways. And the readiness 2030 initiative is aiming to mobilize up to 800 billion euros in defense modernization. So it appears quite evident that the governments of the world are taking this stuff seriously. And I suspect if governments are being proactive in such a inflationary, economically austere environment, then I think that’s a sign that perhaps you should too.

I would encourage you guys to check out the videos we’ve released recently where we talk about how you can get started building stuff. I did a video recently on the bug out rule as shown here. It’s a very entry-level type video that kind of goes over everything you might want to consider in your go bag. We’ve also recently released a video 10 items that you should stockpile for World War 3. We have a lot of those videos on this channel. I would encourage you to go back and we even have advanced stuff for people who are already moving off the grid and expect more of that to come.

Once again, if you want to stay apprised of what’s going on and stay ahead of the information curve, I would strongly encourage you to go check out the Prepper News channel. There we cover all kinds of current events related news. There’s usually an update every day, if not an interview that gets released every day to keep you ahead of what’s going on. Thanks for watching. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe if you enjoy the video. Canadian Prepero. [tr:trw].
