Hey, welcome back. I’m Dan. This is I, Allegedly. And I have breaking news for you. And the wait is over. Donald Trump has announced his running mate. And it is J.D. Vance from Ohio. The Senator from Ohio, J.D. Vance. And James David Bowman is how he was born. And took his mother’s name, Vance. And he has been a Senator for a couple years now. And in 2020 was an intimate, adamant proponent to Donald Trump. He was against Donald Trump to say the least. And he has circled back and taken that back when he became a Senator.
He has changed his attitude. But this guy’s got a really interesting past. You guys probably didn’t know. Is that this guy grew up dirt poor. I mean, not like with a little bit of money. He grew up with nothing. In fact, he wrote a book called Hillbilly Elegy. And the book was eventually turned into a movie. It was a 2016 book that was an absolute bestseller about his wacky family. And just how upside down they were. And when you watch this movie, it’s got Amy Adams and Glenn Close. And it’s the story of a guy that gets an urgent phone call from law school.
You’ve got to come back home immediately. And he just realized everything that made him leave in the first place. Grandma and mom are just complete messes. But it’s just that Hillbilly lifestyle. And again, it was very, very difficult to watch, to say the least. Sorry, guys. I’m not looking at the camera. I’m just trying not to get ran over and stuff. But will this change things, guys? Will it make things better? I mean, it’s wild to have a guy born August 2nd, in 1990, I want to get his date right, so I don’t look like a total fool, 1984.
And I think I was born after I graduated high school. So 39 years old, very young. Who was also 39 years old when they became vice president? That would be Richard Nixon as well. So it’s kind of interesting to see history unfold before our eyes. What do you guys think about this? And does this change things? Will it make people get along? Will it make you vote for the sky? Will it make you not vote for the sky? I just think that this is a very non-polarizing pick. I don’t think that this is a guy that is bad for this guy.
I mean, again, this guy’s an American success. They’re going to dig up everything about his past. You know, he was taught by Brett Kavanaugh, one of the Supreme Court justices. They’re going to have every conspiracy theory known to man about this guy. He’s got three children. He’s been married since 2014. He, to Asha, is his wife’s name. But again, how I get these wild trivia facts in my head is beyond me. But what do you think about this? Seriously, with what happened over the weekend and with what’s going on, does this affect anything for you? Does this make you want to vote for this guy? You know, when you start hearing about potential runny maze when they had Tulsi Gabbard and Nikki Haley and Marco Rubio and Doug Burgum and Vivek Ramaswamy, you know, all these different people.
I mean, again, so many people that could have been chosen and they chose Jamie Vance. So once again, guys, you know, this, whether you like this guy or not, it’s irrelevant. The point that I want to make is that this is truly an American success story. This is a guy who grew up with nothing. I mean, if you see that movie, that movie, I could not finish that movie because it was so tough to watch because white trash, I mean, I’m sorry, is, you know, is as bad as watching some drug addicts and stuff at times, because it’s so difficult when you see, you know, all this stuff, you know, this music playing at the taco stand.
So I’m going to turn my direction. But let me know, guys, because I mean, Glenn Close, you know, was brilliant in it and Amy Adams was brilliant in it. The movie got nominated for all these different awards globally, four different Oscars, hair, makeup, things like that. And Glenn Close got nominated for Best Supporting Actress and didn’t win. She won a Golden Globe, I believe, that year, though, for that. I know she was nominated. But again, you know, J.D. Vance, Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate. So what do you guys think? Seriously, let me know.
Let me know. And, you know, do things like last weekend with with the attempt on Trump’s life, does that change things or do you think this was he made his decision weeks or months ago? I don’t know. I really don’t. Because politics, man, politics are ruthless. I saw a great interview with Ivanka Trump talking about how it is the worst business in the world. And, you know, here is a woman that let’s face it, she’s got all the money she’ll ever need, married to Jared Kushner. And she just said it was absolutely horrible.
And to be in that business and how ruthless and cruel people were. So does this change things for you? Trump Vance, 2024, is that who you’re going to vote for? You’re not going to vote for that. Now, the next question we have to ask this is that is Joe Biden still going to be in office right now? Is this going to sit there and are we going to see Joe Biden continue to run the show for the next few months? Now, once again, all the money people are talking about how, hey, they’re stuck with this guy.
They can’t get out of this right now. And so they have to stay with Biden and Harris. Now, the Biden could drop out. The money would still go to Harris. But it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. So, you know, kind of a wild time right now, guys. It really, really is. You know, the last time we had this much, you know, animosity going into a convention really was 1968. But I was way too young. I was four when that happened to give you guys an idea how old I am.
But unity, civility, is dead. OK, come on, guys. This is ridiculous right now. We live in a time right now when if you mean think about it, if you like the wrong team, the soccer match over the weekend and they ripped the stadium apart because they had no security and no you know, the Copa soccer event, football, whatever you want to call it, guys. Ridiculous. OK, but they ripped an entire arena apart. And two years from now, we’re going to have the World Cup. So that’s coming to a theater near you.
So J.D. Vance is the selection. Let me know what you think about this. And again, the thing about this, it’s wild, guys, that really is shocking is that this guy grew up with absolutely nothing. I’m talking nothing, guys. And that book that he wrote in that movie, you know, where that says to say it all, man, it really does. So you’re going to have everything. Everything’s going to come out about this guy and then some this weekend. Share your thoughts in this breaking news. Let me know what you think. And onward and upward, guys, you want to email me? Hello, what I allegedly dot com.
And again, for those of you that get your panties in a bunch, when all of a sudden I talk about anything that’s not, you know, business related. This is business, guys. This is going to affect everything because a lot of people out there that could have been chosen as his running mate. And I’m glad that he went this direction personally, just because I think Bill Gates is an idiot. And I think that people associate him with no worse. So that’s just you and I. Like, subscribe, share your thoughts. Let me know what you think.
But J.D. Vance is Donald Trump’s running mate for 2024. What do you think about that?
