Hey everybody, Economic Ninja here. I hope you’re doing well. You know who’s not doing well? California consumers. Gas prices are about to see a 50 cents per gallon increase in taxes. And if you think this isn’t about to happen just because they’re suggesting it, get ready because it is absolutely going to happen. Check this story out. Says this is out of Fox KTVU. California gas prices could spike 50 cents under new climate offset idea. And trust me, if anyone’s really good at taxing the public and destroying their wealth, it’s California. Says this is out of Sacramento.
California’s already high gas prices could see an additional spike of almost 50 cents a gallon tucked inside a little known draft report aimed at meeting the state’s aggressive emission reduction goal. You know, like when Newsom came out and said all cars need to be, you know, electric by a certain date. And then we don’t even currently have enough electricity in the state to charge the cars we’ve got. But okay, whatever. But hey, Newsom’s crazy. It says the California Air Resources Board is the state’s regulating body charged with implementing the most ambitious climate action of any jurisdiction in the world because someone’s got to lead the crazy somewhere.
And they want to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. Well, an amended version of carbs, low carbon fuel standards was released in a preliminary report in September and included potential price pass-throughs for customers as the state moves towards its clean energy air goals. You know, this is almost like COVID, you know, and Newsom was telling you all what you had to do in California, but then he’s throwing parties for his friends and family at his winery, you know, that he owns, and no one’s wearing a mask. It’s like that. Standby. The report projected that by next year, gasoline prices could go up an average of 47 cents per gallon with similar, similar annual increases thereafter.
On average, from 2031 through 2046, the proposed amendments are projected to potentially increase the price of gallon by $1.15 per gallon, the report found. Now again, I want to remind you, we’re in a worldwide crisis economically, where half the world’s breaking away from America, and they are already dealing with, we’re dealing with higher oil prices in the stock market. Okay, this is just taxes we’re talking about in the state of California. Now, CARB was set to hold a hearing on proposed amendments in March, but ended up postponing the action until yet an unknown later date, saying it continues to receive substantial feedback on the proposed regulatory package.
So I just want everyone to know that this substantial feedback is people saying, hell no, we want to pay higher fuel prices. That’s what’s going on. So they’re just pushing it off, because they don’t want to show you that the state’s about to rob the crap out of you at the fuel pump. This is insane. Hey, just curious, we’ll do a little poll. Type one, if you want higher fuel prices, and you want to see the state of California rob more of your money, because I can guarantee you, it’s not going to a green initiative, it’s probably going to go to more fuel for Gavin Newsom’s pump.
Or type two, if you think this is absolutely insane, and hell no, you want more higher prices. Just type two, I’m just curious to see what the pulse is of Californians. Now, a vocal critic against tax increases in the legislature is Senator Janet Neugen, oh, weird Republican, characterized the proposed hike as a secret tax increase, saying it will result in financial hardship for most of the state’s residents. Well, good news, Janet, the ninja’s on this, there’s no secret, okay? It’s straight up tax, it’s theft, it’s fraud, and since I know that money’s not all going to go to the green initiative, or making anything more green, it may water these plants in the state parks, but that’s it.
It’s absolutely nutball. Now, Janet goes on to say the astronomical taxes and the price of everything from food to gas is driving people out of California. People are putting their rent on credit cards. She said, so what does the state do? It imposes a secret 47-cent fee in addition to the state’s gas tax, so now we’ll be paying over $6 a gallon. Now, you notice right here at AMPM, they’re saying the cash price is $509 per gallon, and $519 for the cheapest, but yeah, good news, AMPM likes to screw you at the pump too, and they hide a hidden fee if you want to use, you know, an ATM, things like that.
It’s absolutely nutball. So, if you’re going to pay the credit card, you’re going to pay $519 if you’re going to pay with an ATM, or we’re going to hide things. See, the government and companies are hiding stuff left and right, but the truth is, when you go to the pump, you feel the pain. When you go to the grocery store, you feel the pain. We need to end this. I guess we all should just leave California. I already did, but are you with me? Type 3 if you want to leave California and think the state is nutballs.
They just want everyone successful to leave, and they just want to fill it with immigrants so that they can keep doing crazy things. Good news. California’s imploding on itself. Hope you got something out of this. The Economic Ninja is out. [tr:trw].
