Now, the, the commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police decided he was going to, well, his attorneys appeal that decision, looking to strip the rights away again of 18 and 20 year olds in Pennsylvania. And that case has been kind of a catalyst for other states in their fights as well. This has big implications nationwide as both SAF and FPC have joined forces in a bunch of different states to fight these bans on adults who, based off of text, history and tradition, were the ones that help us liberate ourselves from the tyrannical crown of Britain.
So what happened? The commissioner appealed this win from January and wanted to go to an en banc hearing because the three judge panel said, you know what? No, that’s not consistent with this nation’s historical text or tradition of firearms regulation. That’s the Bruin decision. So this is what came down from the en banc panel. I’ll just read it to you. It says, the petition for rehearing filed by appellant in the above entitled case having been submitted to the judges who participated in the decision of this court and to all the other available circuit judges of the circuit in regular active service.
No judge who concurred in the decision having asked for rehearing and a majority of the judges of the circuit in regular service, not having voted for rehearing, the petition for rehearing by the panel of the court en banc is denied. What does that mean? Means that case is not going to be reheard. So the victory stands. So good on FPC, good on Saf, guys. Support those who support you.
Join those groups. It costs less than a large pizza, and you can donate regularly just by drinking phenomenal coffee at blackout coffee. Again, $2 for every item sold for each one of their lines of our products. We donate back every single month. And this is good. Now, is this the end? Technically, the Pennsylvania state police could try to get it to the Supreme Court, but that could be very bad for them because this court is the most second amendment friendly Supreme Court that we’ve had in the history of this country.
So I don’t see them going back against Bruin or going back against Heller or going back against McDonald or all of a sudden saying that, you know, these people who have been adults aren’t adults. It’s funny because the government likes the sliding scale on age. When are you an adult? Well, it depends. I mean, if it’s for wanting you to vote, then it’s 18 and we want to really move it to 16.
The Democrats say if it’s for cigarettes, it’s 21. If it’s alcohol, it’s 21. But if it’s to send you across the country, across the world, rather, and possibly die, well, then that’s 18. So what about defending yourself? If we’re going to train you in firearms, shouldn’t you be the same age? No, we’re going to move that to 21. Doesn’t make any sense. But what say you, my friends? I know there are some 18 to 20 year olds who watch this channel.
We would love to hear from you as well as what you think about this whole issue. This is something that divides our community. There are some people who watch this and who have been with this channel for years that will say 18 is too young. That’s an interesting take. Let me hear from you down below. Be safe. Stay vigilant.
