➡ The CIA was made in 1947 to do two jobs: understand the world and carry out secret missions. It often acts without following rules, doing what it wants when it wants. The CIA has done many secret missions to change who’s in charge in other countries, but these usually end badly. These missions can involve taking over governments, making countries unstable, or putting pressure on other countries’ armies.

When the CIA was established in 1947, it was established with two different tasks. One was intelligence, in other words, analysis, understanding the world, and the second was covert operations. And basically, the CIA has been a lawless extension of the, the White House and the Pentagon and the security establishment generally to do what it wants, when it wants. And there have been dozens and dozens, by a realistic count, 80 or more covert regime change operations by the United States.
Now, they generally end in disaster. These are coups or overthrows of government or destabilization of countries or other kinds of pressures on militaries of other countries and other means to bring down another government. .
