I gotta address this, because, you know, I’m always bothered by certain things that happen in the community, and I also am bothered by why don’t we get outraged at the things that happen that shouldn’t be happening, but only thing that we get outraged at is when it’s something that’s white versus black or black versus white. If a white person do something to a black person, oh, tear my hair out. If a black person do something to a white person, oh, we gotta start a gun for me. How come we’re never engaged when certain things happen in a community that happens pretty regularly in a community that we don’t really give any visibility to? This is a local story that happened in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and this is of a neighborhood or a man in the neighborhood, a 19-year-old is no longer with us because a 51-year-old man got into it with a 19-year-old, tracked him down in broad daylight, and decided that he wanted to take his life.
Take a look. A Sunday morning shootout in the Seagaville neighborhood leaves a 19-year-old dead and a 51-year-old behind bars. The shooting was captured on a neighbor’s surveillance camera. Larry Robertson is now facing a murder charge. Fox-Fort Worth’s Davidson Tenderly has more on what happened before and after the shooting of David. Yes, Stephen Heather, that shootout happened in the middle of a neighborhood. At least one bullet went inside someone’s home. There were parents and children out and about when this happened again around lunchtime yesterday. One of those neighbors who witnessed the shooting turned over some surveillance video to us.
I want you to use all of your senses to take this in. Listen to what’s happening. Listen. Watch. Pay attention. Over some surveillance video to us. A shootout in the middle of a Seagaville neighborhood Sunday morning. A 19-year-old man is dead. 51-year-old Larry Robertson charged with murder. 51-year-old man is dead. 51-year-old Larry Robertson. A 51-year-old man. Is in what looks to be a respectable neighborhood. Getting into it with a young boy and having a shootout. Really, it looks like it’s just one way. It looks like it’s just him, the one that’s shooting. Tracks the dude down.
Jumps out of his Kia. And literally, Moses the guy down and didn’t even think twice about it. Got in the car and just drove away. This is sad. This is sad. This is so sad. It is very, very sad. Because I know a lot of times we always talking about how the young boys is doing stuff, but where do you think they get it from? This arrested development of these guys that never grew up, where do you think they’re getting it from? Where do you think they learned it from? Charged with murder. My daughter was laying down on the bed watching TV and the bullet came back and she was screaming.
The shooting rattling to Nisha Ortega’s family. And stuff is just out of control. We’re supposed to be in a safe environment and if you’re not in safe in your home, where are you supposed to be safe at? Surveillance video shared with police and obtained by Fox 4 reportedly shows Robertson driving a black Kia passenger car near the 19-year-old who’s wearing a red sweatshirt. You hear words exchanged, then gunfire. Oh, the 19-year-old is shooting, too. Look at the 19-year-old. I didn’t even realize it. The 19-year-old pulled out on him, too. Then gunfire. Yeah, they shoot. They’re having a shootout.
This is sad. This is very, very sad. I was feeling sorry for the 19-year-old also. Um. This is bad. This is very, very bad. This is bad on all fronts at this point. It’s horrible on all fronts. Everything about this is horrible. Every single thing about this is horrible. He’s shooting out with a 19-year-old. The 19-year-old is daring him to do it. Do it. Do it. He pulling out also. He didn’t know that the 51-year-old was going to come out with the chopper. And the 51-year-old probably felt justified because they feel like this is a stand-your-ground space or something like that.
Nah, dog. Nah, this is bad on all fronts. This is horrible. We monsters. We monsters. Ain’t no telling where them bullets went. That could have went into somebody because the bullets don’t stop. It got to land somewhere. The bullets don’t stop. It’s got to land somewhere. Probably went through somebody’s house, somebody’s window, hit somebody’s garages, all of this stuff. Stray bullets kill people all the time. This is bad. This is very bad. This is very, very, very bad. This ain’t even close to stand-your-ground. Ain’t even close. This is why I don’t argue with people. The 19-year-old runs out of frame as he’s shot.
Caught 911. Ortega says she tried to help the young man before he died. And I was just trying to keep him awake, you know, like, tell him, don’t go to sleep, don’t go to sleep, you know. The Kia drives off. According to an arrest warrant, Seagaville police located the Kia and arrested Robertson, who’s sharing his story with investigators. I agree it don’t apply to this, Yukar. 100% I agree it don’t apply to this. And as far as I know, he is being cooperative. According to the arrest affidavit, Robertson, who lives in the neighborhood, told police, that dude came around my house, he had a pistol, he pointed it at me.
Robertson’s family later told police two males were seen on surveillance footage loitering around their home and one knocked down their door. Robertson’s family says he later went out looking for the two. Footage shows Robertson return, then leave when he’s clearly observed to be carrying a rifle. The department, however, believes the fatal shooting should have never happened. It shouldn’t have never happened. You know, this is not the way to solve it. You know, gun violence never solves anything. While the affidavit mentions both Robertson and the 19-year-old exchanged gunfire, it does not specify who shot first. Both appear to display a weapon around the same time.
No weapon was found on the 19-year-old, according to police records. It’s unclear if someone else was with him out of view during the shooting. He got rid of it, he tossed it. And then he just was gone just like that. Ortega, who says she watched the 19-year-old pass away, describes it as a haunting encounter. It just was, like, shocking. I don’t even want to stay here no more. It’s not safe, you know? That’s unfortunate, bro. It really is unfortunate. Now, somebody is gonna go to jail, somebody is gonna lose their life, and nobody wins. Nobody wins in this situation.
I don’t know why people can’t figure out that nobody wins in this situation. But again, why is the community not outraged? How come we don’t hear from Al Sharpton? How come we don’t hear from anybody that is protesting against gun violence? The thing that is going to kill you more in the black community is probably gonna be somebody else that look like you. Valid, invalid, standing by my house, we got into it. It’s clear that the guy went looking for the other guy. He went driving around to find the dude. He lined up, he got out the car, he went and got his rifle, because nobody carries a rifle inside of their car.
They may carry a pistol, but they do not carry a rifle inside of their car. He went looking for him, and the dudes was tough, and he shot, they shot, and now somebody is dead. I don’t feel like he gonna be justified, that’s why he talking to the police without a lawyer. He gonna tell them, no, man, he shot first. No, you went looking for him. You went looking for him. This is two wrongs together combined. Now, somebody is gonna be dead, and somebody is gonna go to jail for the rest of their life. Two wrongs together.
Somebody is gonna be dead, and somebody… Yo, hold on, listen, listen, listen. This is this is bad all the way around. So, again, prayer is up. It’s unfortunate. You can walk away, you can avoid it, you can call the police. If the police had pulled up and he had a gun on him, he probably would have been arrested, he probably would have faced gun charges. So, you know what I’m saying? Shout out to everybody that has some sense about him. Don’t get caught up in his nonsense. Don’t get caught up in his foolishness. It’s not worth it.
Stay away from it. [tr:trw].

As a 70 yr old woman living in the house I grew up in watching my area go from a safe, respectable community in the 60s to a unsafe, criminal, drug, thug infested ghetto- I can tell you this: with the courts all favoring criminals over taxpaying law-abiding homeowning churchgoing victims, the only way to get rid of the cockroaches is to exterminate them, because they breed more cockroaches.
So- IF – the 51 yr old is a normally respectable citizen and the 19 yr old thug DID trespass on his property with criminal intent, then I say BRAVO- he’s done the rest of the world a favor! I’ve been victimized quite a few times and I am sick & tired of not being able to feel safe & secure and protect myself- or MY property-&/or make citizen’s arrests like we used to could do before became America was overthrown by bleeding heart “woke” liberals. The last incident I still have to live with was when I caught the recently released from jail geeked out known 30 yr old crack dealer that lives across the street peeking in my bedroom window, and I was told by the police that I could not shoot his eyes out unless he was armed, inside my house & threatening bodily harm! Can you believe that!?! The laws are SO wrong anymore! They used to be right, where you could shoot a thief stealing your car (or even your lawnmower, bicycle, mail, dog, lawn furniture, whatever on your property!), but an old lady not to be able to shoot a dangerous, druggie window peeper, possibly masturbating or scoping her out for a future possible theft or sexual assault? That’s just not right!!!! This is not the USA I grew up in!
However, there are several 3rd generation (🙄)drug dealers& thieves, even two gang related suspected attempted murder and also a heroin addicted schoolteacher in my neighborhood(& somehow obviously “connected”to corrupted city council members or law enforcement to be able to “keep on keeping on”- so it’s possible even at 51 yrs old it could be drug or gang related. A thorough investigation needs to be done and determined if the man was righteously doing his neighborhood a service or not.
If it turns out he’s truly one of the “good guys”, the community should back him and thank him- not only for saving future victims of the young thug, but also think of ALL the $ he saved the taxpayers for the thug’s legal costs and incarceration, etc.
I’m telling you, the only way 🇺🇲 is ever going to be a safe, peaceful place to live again, is if good citizens become proactive against the growing criminal element in our society.
As one great philosopher said ” All it takes for evil to rule, is for good men to do nothing”.
So I disagree with you sir. That “turn and walk away” you spoke of is just another form of this incredibly stupid modernday
“”🙈🙉🙊 “”mentality that’s ruining our blessed America way of life & jeopardizing the future for our kids.
