Summary

➡ Arcadia Economics taks about how when the dollar weakens, markets like bonds, stocks, gold, and silver, which are all valued in dollars, are likely to increase in value. This is because these markets benefit from a weaker dollar. So, if there’s news of a weaker dollar, watch how these markets react, as they’re likely to go up in value.

Transcript

The end gets stronger. And then you come into your markets domestically. Bonds should rally. Stocks should rally. Gold should rally. Silver should rally. All these markets are dollar denominated and so they’re going to benefit from a weaker dollar. And clearly the dollar’s effect on markets has been less important recently. I mean, who’s really looking at the dollar as a reason to buy or sell gold lately? However, I can say that when you have an underpinning in a market that wants to go up, it wants to go up, right? Stocks want to go up.

Gold wants to go up. Silver wants to go up. Copper may not want to go up right now. But Bitcoin definitely doesn’t want to go up right now. Well, when bullish news comes out for them, like a weaker dollar, they’re going to go up. So you want to see how the markets you care about react to the conference. If the conference is dovish, the dollar will weaken. If the dollar weakens, watch how your favorite assets move. [tr:trw].
