Here’s a look at some of the highlights from this year, and what you can expect from this channel in the future. We started off the year with a deer hunt with our friends over at the Arcopia YouTube channel. Learning how to acquire food from the land is arguably the most important aspect of survival. We did several videos showing how a prepper approaches stockpiling, going out to various stores and giving ideas on what to hoard before it hits the fan. Have you guys ever seen the movie Zombieland? These were in high demand. Woody Harrelson spent his lifetime looking for Twinkies, so we’re going to get Twinkies just for the hell of it.
We showcased home fortification and security ideas. We did some pretty explosive testing, and we even kicked in a few doors. Here’s Canadian pepper! We published a front-to-back series on comprehensive firearms training with our friends over at the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights. This is a six-part series that’s going to allow any novice shooter to get to a point where they’re proficient in the basics. We demonstrated numerous methods for water acquisition, storage, and purification for grid-down emergencies. We built a massive color-coded, syntropic food forest that will produce food for decades to come. We practiced skills like how to make soap from scratch, and even how to grow various herbs for medicinal purposes.
We did a series on advanced first aid with our friend Dr. Tima Jintan. We built a massive greenhouse so that we can extend our growing season and don’t have to rely on the grocery store. I’ve been working all day. I just had some help show up, and we’re going to continue to build this out. I’ve got to show these guys how to do it, because quite frankly, they don’t know what they’re doing, so they need an expert here to show them what to do. So let’s go check in and see what’s going on here. We learned about solar technology and shared our front-to-back experience of the construction of our solar system.
We even laid the groundwork for bunker construction with our friend Ron from Atlas Survival Shelters. You’re going to want the recreational value out of the bunker, as most people do, because then you could turn it to a wine cellar, a gun room, a mother-in-law suite, or just a party room for the kids. Put the mother-in-law down there and shut the door. Well, you could actually put the wife, if you really want to get technical. We’ve had many notable guests on the channel this year. We started off the year interviewing Sean James from MySoftReliance, who provided a wealth of insight into homesteading.
I see the divergence between, you know, an analog world and a virtual world that I don’t like, and I no longer feel like it’s a part-time, or potentially a part-time endeavor for somebody. I think we’re going to have to make a decision. Steve Syros, a leader in the freeze-dried food industry, came down to teach us all the ins and outs about freeze-drying food. Like, just even thinking about this pizza, like, you might be able to grind that up, make some kind of paste, and then toast it. Or, like, you might, you know, there’s just different things you can…
Pizza paste. I try it. You’re just being nice. Kind of. We talked to cyber security and AI experts like Cassandra. Geopolitical and financial commentators like Paul Craig Roberts and Gerald Salente. If this thing escalates, it’s going to be…it’s World War III. World War III’s already begun. Financial commentators like George Gammon and Doomburg. Authors like Bradley Garrett shared insights into preparedness culture. These debates are had all the time about, you know, what is the best methodology? Is it buying five acres and growing food? Is it building a bunker? Is it, you know, stockpiling your garage? You know, people are trying things out.
And, like, this is the whole game. Scientists like Leon Simons talked about the perilous state of our climate. Natural resource experts like Nate Haggins provided novel insights on resource depletion. Our entire economic system has been predicated on more and more oil that is roughly the same affordability every year. And that is about to change right now. We tested more gear on the channel this year than I can remember. In addition to dozens of miscellaneous tabletop reviews, we did things like testing 20-year-old freeze-dried food. I’m not even s*** you guys. This is better than most of the freeze-dried food I’ve ate that is fresh.
That’s an absolute banger. Showcased a variety of backwoods shelter solutions like the world’s biggest backpackable tent and new and innovative inflatable options. They give you this inflator pump and they give you instructions on what PSI to pump it up to. I, of course, didn’t bring those instructions. Why? Because I’m a man and men don’t need instructions. We like screwing things up. We did real-world bug-out testing of items like the heat hog heating system in our off-grid bunkie. Marshall, are you liking this heat? You liking that heat, bro? Are you warm, good sir? Yes, sir.
In addition to the numerous guns we reviewed, we even showcased auto-reloading crossbow options at the new archery range. We compared homesteading tools like chainsaws and handsaws. We tested out various security systems. Chief among them is my personal favorite, the Dakota Alert Perimeter System. This is something we rely on every day at the homestead. And because we’re not technophobes, we even talked about cutting-edge drone and thermal imaging technology. Attention. It is feeding time. Have you received your daily ration? Congratulations. We explored numerous concepts on the channel, like the 35 different types of hybrid warfare, 50 things that you might see before nuclear war, the philosophy of preparedness, how to build your own identification portfolio.
We talked about the element of disguise in various gray man strategies, how to amass a one-year stockpile of supplies. We even devised a comprehensive self-assessment tool and rating scale to determine how well you might fare when the shit hits the fan. We even had some fun vacuum sealing anything we could find around the office. Speaking of fun, we also like to enjoy ourselves when making these videos. And that meant countless comedy skits, and even our first ever Christmas special. We made a playlist for most of these videos that you can see in the description section below.
All that said, we have a long way to go before we’re fully prepared, and we look forward to continuing to share our evolution and self-reliance We have a lot in store, so stay tuned. Thanks for your support this year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2025. Canadian Prep for Out. [tr:trw].
