Daily Update #16 – Saturday, January 2, 2021
Great day Patriot,
And Happy New Year!
I hope you’re ready and prepared for whatever 2021 may bring!
I don’t know what’s going to be happening, but I do know there are going to be more opportunities created this year!
The key is to have clear goals and the right mindset, so you can see the opportunities that are right for you.
I’m going to talk a bit more about that in today’s main post.
Cheers!
Jared
“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.”
How To Achieve More & Get The Most Out Of 2021
Similar to the Andrew Carngie quote above, another quote says,
“A person is the happiest when they’re in the process of achieving a worthwhile goal.”
And it’s true. When we have goals we believe we can achieve, we tend to focus on them and actually accomplish them.
That’s part of this 3 step goal setting process you can do to make the most of 2021.
- Define your goals. Set clear and specific goals for yourself. You could have multiple dreams and goals. Write it all down and prioritize them however you want.
- Think about them all the time. Write your main goal on a notecard and carry it around with you. Get pictures that represent it and put those pictures in places where you will see it everyday. Remember the phrase by Earl Nightingale, “You become what you think about most of the time.”
- You have to feel good when you think about your goals. This is often a misunderstood part of the equation. You can have goals and you can think about them all the time, but if you feel bad when you think about them, you’re not going to get the results you want. You have to feel good about the process of achieving your goals! That’s why it’s important to have big goals, but also have clear next steps that are easy for you to believe you can achieve.
One thing I have learned over the years is that sometimes, our goals are there to guide us in a certain direction.
Our goals will likely change as we progress and take action toward them. That’s okay.
Be flexible with the path to get to your dreams, but always progress toward making your dreams a reality for you.
Be well!
In Other News
Effective on January 1, 2021, the Price Transparency Rule (the “Rule”) requires all hospitals operating within the United States to make public a list of their standard charges for items and services via the Internet in a machine-readable format. You can read more about it here.
Today’s Tip
Tip of the day: When writing and creating your goals, remember the best goals are ones that give you a clear mental picture of what you want.
Vague desires often don’t provide the needed energy in order to take action and accomplish our goals. Make sure the goals you set for yourself give you a clear image in your mind of what it looks like when you have accomplished that goal.
