But check that out today because a lot of people are saying, hey, I’m not getting it, so check that out. There’s a lot to cover, though, in the economy. And a few things, you know, one thing about being at a basically a car show and a vehicle show, there was so much happening. And one thing that fascinated me was when you go to different areas of like all these different Japanese and foreign tire companies. There was over 50 at that show. And I’m just walking through this place and all these different tires of places we’ve never heard of.
But one thing that you have is you cannot deny the fact that the auto industry is having a real problem right now. We’re going to cover a lot in this video. So many different topics. But first things first is Stellantis, they’re laying off 1,100 workers permanently right now. 1,100. You know, I have a friend of mine, TK’s garage, and he’s like, I don’t even know how they’re in business right now. So that’s that’s one thing that’s fascinating that comes to the backside of the pier here. I’ll show you some stuff. So Stellantis is, you know, borderline done right now, but they laid off 1,100.
And then, you know, in in New York, you’ve got Sumitoma Tire Company and they’re in their New York plant. 1,350 people getting laid off right now. Once again, guys, there’s going to be an adjustment to the economy right now that we’re all going to have to live through. And the adjustment is the fact that business has been just destroyed during this time. I love this. They do have these surfing competitions out here a lot throughout the year. I mean, I don’t even keep track of them because there’s so many of them. But these guys get going early.
So anyway, Sumitoma, 1,350 people lose their job in November. Isn’t that terrible? It’s absolutely awful. And one thing that’s happened, a couple of things, is Elon Musk, you know, the Tesla numbers have just gone through the roof lately to where they’re a trillion dollar company now. Tesla’s a trillion dollar company. Isn’t that wild to think about? I mean, it’s terrible. You know, I’ve had a lot of people write me. There’s been some videos posted about how people have bought used Teslas. And this is one thing I did not know. And I couldn’t imagine this, going through this stuff with my son right now and that these people, when you buy a Tesla car, hey, come get it.
Well, do I get to drive it? Do I get to inspect the car? No. Come get it. This is your car. Here’s the keys. Show you how to use it. Have a nice day. You know what I mean? And it’s kind of wild that that’s how they do it. So people are upset because one guy bought a used Tesla and he’s having nothing but problems with it and then posted online for everybody to see. But Elon now runs a trillion dollar company. Bentley. You know, we heard about how Bentley was going to go all electric in 2026.
Not so fast. Bentley has decided to put that off until 2035. So they’re still going to make gasoline powered cars. Well, that’s okay. Thank you. You know, it’s funny. I have, you know, thousands of subscribers. I have a core group of people that always send me stuff. Always are contributing to the channel. We’re going to give them, I’m going to give them gifts for Christmas this year. And I’m going to reach out to them. And right now we’ve got it down to 12 that really, really go above and beyond. So we’re going to let these people know what’s going on.
But I was thinking about how everybody’s different walks alive, different parts of the world. And everybody has different needs and different wants on what they do and their expertise. It’s fascinating. So with that, you know, I’m very grateful for this. But I was thinking about my son and my son called me. And you know, your kids, if you have kids, hey dad, you know, it’s usually I want this, I want that. But my son called me to say, I really want to congratulate you on helping me with the car and getting me twenty five hundred dollars more for the payoff on the car.
And I was really, oh, thank you. You know, it was really nice because I don’t know how you did that because they were just so rude and so tight and you pulled it off. And it was just, you know, and again, it’s twenty five hundred bucks, but it was a difference of making the car, you know, seem like it was what he should have gotten over getting taken advantage of. And we have to do this, you know, and we have to step up at times and not get taken advantage of. Right now, there is a report through FEMA and this is despicable.
Now, there’s people that are going to laugh at this and go, I’m good for that. And that was FEMA workers went to Hurricane Milton and if they had Trump signs in front of their house, they just did not put them on the back of the list, skip their houses. How would you feel about that? Think about that. You’re a Trump supporter. Yeah, well, we’re going to help you last. That’s terrible. That’s disgusting. You’ve just had your entire life destroyed. You’ve lost everything in your home and you get to be last on the list because of how you voted.
I’m telling you guys, break down, get a blowout on the side of the freeway and have the mechanic ask, hey, who’d you vote for? Imagine that. That would be awful, guys, because it’s a world I don’t want to live in right now. Okay. Now, here in California, wildfires are going really bad up above Los Angeles and Ventura County in a city called Camarillo. One hundred and twelve houses have been officially destroyed and it is heartbreaking, heart wrenching to think about you get up to go to work one day and oh, you can’t can’t reenter can’t come back and everything is gone, destroyed your lifetime of memories and everything you have in your house.
And that’s the thing that I always tell people, imagine leaving your home and then you don’t come back to it. It’s done. Imagine everything that’s inside that house and how you would feel about that. So people don’t want to sit there and think about that. But these poor people now imagine these hundred and twelve houses that were destroyed. If people said, you know, how’d you vote? Imagine that now you can sit there and you know, and I can again if you guys are on the private channel on the the other channel, you would get it how ridiculous that is because we’ve shared a bunch of stories of where people treated people mistreated people because of how they voted.
And again, this is the thing that I get a kick out of. Oh, they should treat them like that. Really, really my late girl from the one that died of cancer two years ago was left of left of left. Okay, but smart, beautiful, you know, and we always got along. And again, it had nothing to do with her political beliefs because we got along really well. Okay, and one thing that she hated was injustice things like this. Oh my gosh. She would take care of it things like my son Grant’s getting taken advantage of by the insurance company.
She would have stepped in for that one too, but it’s all you can do guys. It’s all you can do and you have to work together. Everybody’s got to calm down right now and imagine a world where we’re on the same team because I’m telling you guys, it’s gonna, you know, people don’t want to hear this. Oh, you know, so much is happening. You know, couple things that really infuriated me was interest rates could cut another 25 percentage points, you know, a quarter of a point and interest rates don’t go down for mortgages and everybody’s waiting for this miraculous drop.
And one thing that’s happening next week is as big all these different foreclosure shows are going on right now and you’re going to see all of this activity finally get started to where you’re going to see the foreclosure activity get picked up commercial side and residential side. There’s just just going to happen right now. Now, the one thing that really got me is drone pal after they did the quarter point drop, the Messiah steps forward and says, hey, you know, somebody asked him, hey, if you were asked to leave, oh, I, you know, we’re the fourth branch of government.
I’m not leaving. Who says guys, you know, when you look at the Federal Reserve and that story about that, don’t you want to find out what’s going on there? Don’t you want to answer to certain things like that? I like guys like Ron Paul, who’s always said that’s out of the Fed and all those signs you see on the side of the road and everything like that. Oh, man, that would be the greatest thing ever. But Jerome Powell says he’s not leaving. He’s been appointed. He’s not leaving early. There’s nothing you can do to make him leave early.
You want to bet? You know, yeah, there can be a lot of things to make people do different things early. You know what I mean? So anyways, we need answers for some of this stuff financially. And I just, I think we do. Tired of us. Everybody’s got, you know, the answers. Everybody’s in charge. Just ask them. You know, Jerome Powell is kind of full of himself. So it’s going to be interesting. You know, one thing I told you guys about is the mergers. And that is Applebee’s and IHOP are forming stores together right now.
Isn’t that crazy? Restaurants that you walk into and it’s both. Oh, my God, this is heaven. I want you to tell me one thing that any of you have sit there and go, oh, my gosh, I go to Applebee’s and eat eggs. Oh, my gosh, I go to IHOP and eat eggs. You know, no, nobody does that. It’s crap. It’s, you know, my son used to like to go there because they used to put frosting on pancakes. Oh, my God. You know, work in that type 2 diabetes now early. Come on, let’s get it going.
So. Surfing competition over there. But anyways, guys, it’s a beautiful morning. Love getting out here very, very early. You know, so you’re starting to see a lot of stuff just come to light. You know, Freightways magazine. Pull forward and said the freight recession is over. We’re starting to see an uptick in shipping. Business is off, guys. You’re starting to see so many people that have been affected by this that I think it’s going to take a year or so until we see a big difference. I still think we’re going to have an awful Christmas.
I still think that Black Friday is going to be off. I think you’re going to see a lot of things that are, you know, are going to be just going to be a bad year as far as shopping, as far as the stores. You have all these different places. So many places are closing on Thanksgiving. You’re seeing that they’re not going to do any early shenanigans. So many places already have their Black Friday stuff already announced for a week or so early. That’s done. So it’s going to be interesting.
A few things. What else? You know, one thing that blew me away is there’s an article on CNN of all places. And Hormel is consolidating products. And a lot of stores, think about what I’m going to say, sell 71 different types of pepperoni. Huh? How do you have 71 different types of pepperoni? Well, they’re going to start changing that and they’re going to consolidate things like that. Okay. One thing I love to read is different industry magazines. The food truck industry, I get a lot from different restaurants that are starting food trucks and then how to start a food truck.
But they had a couple great articles and that was, you know, 12 ways to start a food truck. That’ll be below for you guys. And then, you know, when you look at growth industries, you look at industries that are successful. The catering industry in 2025 is going to be a $70 billion industry. The food truck industry is going to be something that’s going to be huge for that. So it’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out, you know. You’re seeing more and more stores that are locking up product and you hope with the change in laws for crime and things like that, that we’re going to see changes where you’re going to be able to walk into by deodorant and not have to have it locked up behind lock and key.
So, you know, lots going on. Just wanted to give you guys a quick video this morning. And, oh, my gosh. What else? Oh, well, and you guys are an up node. You know, people are upset because the Starbucks app keeps going down and they think it’s some type of conspiracy, kind of like the whenever they offer incentives and discounts. Why is it the app goes down? Why is it that McDonald’s, you know, milkshakes go down? Who knows? So with that, you know, it’s like who sits there and thinks, OK, that’s a conspiracy.
Finally, Citizens Insurance in Florida, you’ve got this to look forward to. The average policy is going to go up another 18 percent above and beyond everything else that we talked about. So just a quick video to get back and, you know, you need a little fee therapy every now and then to start your day. So please let me know what you guys want to see onward and upward. It’s good to be home. It’s always good to be home. I appreciate each and every one of you. Let’s all work together moving forward.
Everybody would be happy in the new year. Hello what I allegedly is my email address. Hello what I allegedly dot com is my email address and I will see you guys very soon. Thank you. [tr:trw].
