All right, friends, Peggy Hall back with you from the healthyamerican.org. You know these guys, don’t you? There’s Elon Musk. You know what I think about him. What is it? Is it really viable? Is it really worthwhile? I’m going to share with you the top things that they hope to be doing and I would like to hear from you. Friends, we are talking about Elon and Vivek, and the headline that I grabbed here is from Forbes and it says, Elon Musk’s dog may cut, I guess that’s how you pronounce it, may cut these federal agencies. So department of government efficiency. Now there’s a dog coin and this is, I guess his funny joke of calling this after the coin. So I find it a little juvenile, but he strikes me as kind of juvenile. I know, I know he’s some genius that can’t string two words together. And I’m not going to poke holes in the Elon Musk ship.

If you are a fan, I say, let’s keep an open mind and see what kind of results he delivers. I’ve got plenty of people in my audience that have very strong opinions about Musk as do I. So please watch my Musk playlist if you’re interested in more of that background. So the headline says billionaires, Elon Musk and Vivek, Vivek Ramaswamy, co-heads of the Trump administration’s department of government efficiency. It sounds like that comes from a bad novel. I’m sure it comes from like George Orwell’s 1984. Think about it. The department of government efficiency, probably, I mean, if you look at the bill that was passed for the Inflation Reduction Act, that increased inflation, if you look at the bill that was passed for the Affordable Healthcare Act, which made healthcare unaffordable for most people, it makes me think of this department of government efficiency, is it going to be efficient or is it going to be another bureaucracy? So they want to slash federal spending by $2 trillion.

All right, just get rid of health and human services. They have a budget of $1.7 trillion. I’m going to be covering that in an upcoming video. I’m no fan of these huge bloated governmental agencies. Just get rid of all of it. I don’t really know what they’re doing and why we need them. So that right there would take care, would be a huge step in the right direction with Elon and Vivek wanting to slash federal spending by $2 trillion. Get rid of that department. I’m in favor of getting rid of the department of education.

There certainly is no need for that. And there are so many of these agencies, all of these federal grants that are going actually outside of the United States. I’ve done videos on this before, billions of dollars that are going to researchers to study crazy things in countries around the world that have nothing to do with us. Cut all of that immediately. That’s what I would do. I want to hear what you would do. Please drop a comment and let me know. So the writer of this article says that it is likely to be a difficult gambit.

It’s going to be hard for them to get this through. And there are other lawmakers who are also floating spending cuts. Now, it’s going to be interesting looking at the makeup of the Congress and the Senate. And many of you have said, gosh, Peggy, it’s not like a Republican one. Okay, we’ve got Trump, but everybody that he’s surrounding himself with are basically hardcore leftists. So yeah, we will have to wait and see, but here are the key facts about what they, meaning Elon and Vivek want to do. They’re going to lead this bureau and it was named with that meme that is often referenced by Musk for that type of coin.

I guess it’s not Bitcoin, but one like it, the dog coin or the dog coin. I don’t follow that stuff. So it’s not going to be an official government agency. Hallelujah. I applaud that. But it is an advisory board, which will provide advice and guidance from outside the government. And that’s what Trump has declared. So, you know, Trump is a showman and he wants to grab the headlines. He sees himself as bigger than life. And to me, announcing this department of government efficiency fits right in with his character and personality and whatever roles he’s playing on the major stage of politics in order to say, look at what I’m doing.

And he had Musk on board. He was there at the, you know, election evening. And I know that they had been working together apparently prior to that. So it could be all a bunch of splashy headlines that kind of fades away as time goes on. I’m going to be watching it with some curiosity. Trump says that the department’s primary objectives are to dismantle government bureaucracy slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures and restructure federal agencies. Gee, that’s a pretty tall order. And my question is, why doesn’t he do it from inside the government? Certainly there must be positions and other individuals that can do that.

It seems to me. So some of this, this department and the announcing of it can get a lot of people cheering and enthusiastic about what could pass. However, Trump also said that he was going to put Hillary in jail. He never did anything about that. And there were great things I think that came out of the administration over the previous years in terms of we had a robust economy. I think overall people were optimistic. Of course, everything came to a screeching halt in 2020. That was absolutely heinous. And I agree with all of you that are saying that he was the father of warp speed.

And he wanted everybody to get that product into their arm. And I’m not in favor of that at all. He kept Fauci going and Deborah bricks and all of the other casting characters that he had. So yeah, that didn’t play well for me at all. So Ramaswami, who by the way, I wanted to give you a little bit of background on this man, because I really didn’t know that much about him. So he founded Roy Vant Sciences, a pharmaceutical company in 2014. And I thought that was very interesting. And he was born in Cincinnati to immigrant parents.

And it is very interesting seeing the rise of Indian immigrants in politics. And some of you would say that that is intentional and that some of these individuals are placed there purposely. But think about it. You had Harris, who was Indian, and Vivek, and there are others that sort of have shown up during all of the Kooties hogwash over the years that have been in the freedom movement or have been prominent voices. And then interestingly, Vance’s wife, the vice president elect’s wife, is Indian. So it’s interesting. I find that very interesting, the rise of Indian immigrants in politics.

So he got a bachelor’s degree in biology, later earned a degree from Yale Law School. And we know that a lot of politicians all stick together from Yale. They call them Yailies. And there you have it. So he started, he has been very much involved in pharmaceutical and biotech industries. So I’m not in favor of pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Can I say that on this platform also? All right. Let’s go back and hear more about what they plan to do. Okay. Vivek says that he wants to look for cuts to the Defense Department’s budget.

What do you think about that? He says the agency has nearly a trillion dollars of budget. They can’t even tell you where it goes. Well, I’ll give you one up. Health and Human Services is the largest department in the federal government with a $1.2 trillion budget. So nearly double the Department of Defense to tell you to stop smoking cigarettes and wash your hands after you use the toilet. That’s basically what public health does. So yeah, I’m not in favor of that. And they waste a lot of our money. So Trump, here we go.

Trump says that this commission will wrap up its duties by July 4th. So there’s another intentional date, 2026. So giving them a little more than a year to do their work. Although Musk posting on Twitter said he expects it to be done much faster. Details remain very light on exactly how this agency will operate. And it’s unclear how much funding the commission itself would receive. I think they should get no money whatsoever. This should all be done voluntarily if they’re billionaires, right? And it’s unclear how that is all going to actually play out.

Vivek called for a massive downsizing and Musk says he wants a roughly 75% reduction in the number of US federal agencies, although any of these changes, of course, need to get approval through Congress. So let’s just reaffirm that it’s basically what they say, lip service. So they could come out with all these kinds of things that Trump could applaud, and then it could get bogged down in the Congress. And Trump could say, well, I tried. And maybe that’s sincere. Just saying, just saying some people call this opium, meaning keeping you hooked on hope.

Always saying it’s just around the corner. These changes are just around the corner. Sit tight. I think y’all been sitting a long time. All right, so here are some specific things that they would like to do. So the Pentagon, looking, oh, I just mentioned that looking for cuts in the Defense Department. How about this one, Corporation for Public Broadcasting? I would say get rid of that 100%, right? PBS and NPR? Why does there need to be government backing for media? That doesn’t make sense to me at all. Perhaps there was a time and place for that many moons ago, but certainly not now.

So that I would be in favor of that. How about this? Making cuts to Planned Parenthood, I absolutely am in favor of that. So Musk and Vivek say that they would like to cut nearly $300 million to these progressive groups like Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood receives about $50 million from the federal government. Why? I really am asking why? I don’t have an as a valid answer for that. They also plan on taking aim at $1.5 billion for these grants to international organizations. And I think that has to do with all of these grants that are being doled out through the National Institutes of Health and USAID and all sorts of other agencies that spend your hard earned money frivolously.

Just in the side here, friends. Imagine if you got to keep the money that you earned. If the government didn’t pick your pocket every paycheck, you would be able to afford the food and the clothes and the housing and vacations and invest in gold and have something for your retirement. So it’s because you don’t get to keep the money that you rightfully earned. That’s where I would like to see these cuts. Why do we need to have federal income tax? Anyway, I don’t understand. I’m not in favor. It started with a 1% tax.

You want to roll it back to 1% on everyone equally across the board. Think about it. The billionaires just by virtue of the amount of money that they make would already be giving more. Why should they have progressively higher taxes when they’re already the net amount of money is already more? So I would be definitely in favor of eliminating federal taxes and at the very least reducing it so it’s equal across the board. Get rid of all those attorneys, all those tax preparers. Sorry, Tim, my CPA, but seriously, there are entire industries that have grown up around this that are just layers that are unnecessary in my humble opinion.

Musk, I don’t like to say that word. Elon also wants to get rid of or take aim at the IRS and I was just talking about that. So creating a free tax filing app, perhaps simplifying the tax code. Yeah, that can be done incrementally. Congress can pass some changes to simplify it and certainly keep the new tax laws that are favorable to we, the taxpayers. And I know there are many of you that are free agents or sob sits and you don’t pay federal taxes and I applaud you for that. I don’t want to go to prison so I’m paying my taxes.

All right, we talked about prison previously. I don’t want to spend all of my time dealing with courts and attorneys and all of that. I’ll just pay what is due. All right, how about the FTC, the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission. They are looking at cuts to those agencies as well. And this is interesting. Elon and Vivek have not identified specific cuts to NASA. What does that stand for again? Not a space agency, something like that. But congressional authorization for some funding to the agency, some of those authorizations are set to expire this year.

So cuts could be made from the more than 500 million that is given to that agency. So I find that very curious since Elon is launching rockets into space. It’s kind of hard for me to say. All right. So remember, this Department of Government efficiency is just window dressing. All right. I hope that they came up with some great plans that can actually be implemented through Congress. All right. They really can’t make these cuts on their own. And Trump can have some, he has some leeway within his own departments, but Congress actually is the one that authorizes the money.

So if Trump wants to eliminate some of the roles, if he wants to have some layoffs of individuals within his executive branch, my understanding is he has that leeway to do so. So of course, the Senate would also be involved. And here’s something, some ideas that came up changing the composition of coins to reduce the cost of producing pennies and nickels. Seriously, that’s like California getting rid of straws in order to improve the climate. Like it doesn’t work that way, you guys. This is kind of a ridiculous one. I think there are bigger fish to fry than changing the composition of coins.

But say you, maybe I’m completely off here. So Elon and Vivek say that this is kind of strange. They plan to embed the dog appointees in government agencies. How are they going to do that? Aided by advanced technology. I guess they’re not calling it AI anymore. I don’t call it AI. I call it computer programming. There’s no such thing as artificial intelligence. So now they’re calling it advanced technology. I think that’s a better phrase. Machines can’t be intelligent. They don’t have a capacity for that only human beings and are lovely animals.

All right. They want to identify the minimum number of employees necessary for an agency to perform its core functions. The move will likely result in fewer employees as they plan on cutting administrative overgrowth. I’m all in favor of that through large scale firings. I guess the federal employees are not going to be in favor of that. And the relocation of federal agencies out of Washington. That’s interesting. They also expect and welcome a wave of voluntary terminations. You mean, that’s interesting. They’re going to terminate their own job. And they wrote in, this was actually an article in the Wall Street Journal.

So they said they are going to impose a return to office policy that would require federal employees to work five days a week in the office. I think that’s quite controversial. Let me know if you worked from home over the last few years or maybe even prior to all of the Kubis hogwash, or maybe you have retired at this point. Let me know if you are more efficient working from home, fewer interruptions, or maybe you like the interactions on the job. All right. So there is a James Comer is a Republican from Kentucky in the House, and he’s the chair of the House Oversight Committee.

And he has asked Marjorie Taylor Greene to chair a subcommittee that will work with the Dogue to focus on government waste. It is expected to be established early next year. And the deadline for cuts is July 4th, 2026. All right. Just wanted to bring that to your attention, friends. I found it kind of curious. I want to keep an open mind. You know, I like to have a little fun on this channel. A little snark, you know, maybe a little humor here and there, because I just find it a little strange, like the Department of Government efficiency just sounds like it came out of a bad novel, bad movie, and that the exact opposite is going to happen that is going to result in the most inefficient government possible.

I hope that I’m wrong. What say you? Hey, friends, I’m wrapping this up. Actually, Thanksgiving is tomorrow. And I’m so grateful to have you on board. I’m going to take a couple of days off. I hope that you are too. And I will be back with you with brand new content on Monday. Remember, this show currently is Monday through Friday, 4pm Pacific, that 7pm Eastern. Don’t wait for a notification. Heaven knows that YouTube is not going to send you one. But do me a favor, double-check that you are subscribed and hit that bell notification.

And it would be great if you show up when we broadcast at 4pm Pacific so you can comment and share and like and help me out with this algorithm because YouTube has definitely throttled my videos. And this truth is too hot for the platform to handle, but I need your help to help me get it out. All right, friends, see you after the holiday weekend. And I hope you have a warm and wonderful holiday. [tr:trw].
