Hey friends, Peggy Hall back with you from the healthyamerican.org. Yesterday I did a video for you about the controversial pot proposition in Florida, and there were so many great comments. And did you know that the same controversial proposition is on the ballot in South Dakota? Yes, South Dakota of all places, even if you don’t live in South Dakota, stay tuned and buckle up because this could be coming to a state near you. And I’d like to hear from you in a comment. Who do you think is behind this proposition? Do you think a lot of freedom lovers who like to smoke pot got together and got this on the ballot? Or do you think it’s big business that is going to benefit big business and that’s going to expand government regulation? Stay tuned and I’m going to tell you all about that.
First, I want to tell you all about the benefits of collagen. I want to thank the sponsor of today’s show. I’ve got two shows for you today, so stay tuned for the second one. And oh, we’re going to talk about this sub stack in just a moment. But first, let’s hop on over here because people have been asking me about collagen, saying, Peggy, does it work? How does it work? Do you take it and what kind should I use? And that’s what I’m going to answer for you. You see a lot of people go about trying to improve their appearance or getting rid of aches and pains or improving their gut function and they go about it the wrong way.
What is the root of these causes in many cases is the decrease in your natural collagen reserves because after the age of 20, your body produces about 12% less collagen each decade. So just add it up. So if you’re experiencing, for example, aches and pains in your joints, you’re having problems with your gut health, or you’re having excessive sagging skin and wrinkles, you know, in relation to your age, you may be collagen deficient. Plus, knowing if you should take collagen isn’t enough. You need to take the right kind of collagen. And that’s why I love this ageless multi collagen, which you can get at healthwithpeggy.com.
It uses the right type of quality source collagen, and this will give you the best chances of restoring your bright youthful skin, promoting your joint comfort, supporting healthy gut function, and improving the condition of your hair, skin and nails. And I love this amazing collagen mixture. It helps to rejuvenate revitalize my skin. And it’s unlike the typical college supplements that you get at the store. Some people told me they were buying this stuff like at the grocery store. I highly recommend trying this follow the dosing on the package. It’s highly effective because it combines the top five critically important types of collagen for skin health.
So as I say, it can help reduce the visible signs of aging, promoting a youthful glow, skin elasticity and hydration. Now, check it out for yourself. And do your skin a favor and your pocketbook. You can’t go wrong. Check it out. See if it’s a good fit for you. And that’s at healthwithpeggy.com. Let’s take a look at this, friends. This is the video that I did for you yesterday about the pot proposition in Florida, legalizing pot in Florida. Now, you can already, already get it for medical reasons. And I did a deep dive into this because even people who are in favor of cannabis for all, they recognize that this proposed state constitutional amendment in Florida squeezes the little guy and it benefits big business and it expands government regulation. In Florida, this measure will not allow you to grow pot in your backyard.
People think that’s what it means, that it’s suddenly not going to be regulated. It’s going to be more highly regulated. The price may go up because now these businesses are going to have to have more regulation. And of course, they’re doing it because they want more customers. So all y’all there that are anti-big corporation, if you vote yes on Prop 3, you’re promoting big corporations. It’s as simple as that. And I love this comment from one of my healthy Americans. And not everybody sees things the way I do. That’s great. I think we should have a diversity of opinion, but please have some type of rational reason for your opinion.
And we had a healthy American said, I don’t like this amendment because it was developed by a company that will benefit from it. People can only get this from that company. How is that constitutional? And someone else said, I hate that they have legalized pot here in New Jersey because you smell it almost everywhere you go. I have many weed-smoking neighbors in my building and that nasty smell is on their clothes. It irks my spirit, and I don’t like having to be exposed to the secondhand smoke from it. Someone else said, I’m here in Florida.
Most every person I know has voted no on Amendment 3. But I did hear from a healthy American who said, I voted yes because I thought it would help the economy. But after hearing your video, Peggy, I would have voted no. And then I love this one here. In fact, I’m going to share my screen so you can see it from DigiDog or DigiDog. Here’s what he says. It was more fun to buy from your buddy, hang out, laugh. Now it’s a store. Well, the proposition on the ballot in Florida is not going to allow you to buy it from your buddy, hang out, and laugh legally.
You still will have to buy it from state-regulated agencies. And you can bet that these huge corporations that bankrolled this measure in Florida and in South Dakota, they are not going to look kindly at the mom and pops trying to break into the cannabis business. So what I want to do is read to you a couple of things that came out of South Dakota. And this is from a healthy American. She said, Hey, Peggy, I just sent you a reply about the propositions in Florida. And Dakotans 4 Health is the name of the grassroots agency that is pro baby killing and pro marijuana.
And they are sponsoring the amendments that just got $500,000 in funding. She said, in the previous years, they raised around $375,000 significantly less than the pro-life groups. Guess where the funds come from? She writes, Governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker. This has to be illegal somehow, right? Now, this is her email. I have not vetted that information specifically. I still will, but it just came in and I wanted to bring this to you. She says, at the very least, it is immoral and unconstitutional for one state to mess with the laws of others. Please bring awareness to this.
The people of South Dakota do not want any of these measures. There are seven on the ballot. It has to stop. To all those people who want a blue state, she says, live in one and leave the rest of us alone. And she said they are trying the same thing in South Dakota. The organization sponsoring this is Dakotans 4 Health. And then she wrote, apparently, health and death are the same thing. The cannabis measure would add a lot of red tape and the abortion one would remove the red tape. And there would be no government regulation.
Please pray for us. The cannabis one is not going well and the lefties are losing their mind. She’s writing. The abortion measure is so close. They brought in over $500,000 in funding to ram their opinions and death wishes down our throats. I feel like sending them each a greeting card and suggesting that they just move to California. The weather is better and they can soak in the riches of a leftist paradise. We moved from New Jersey to South Dakota and we never knew freedom until we moved to South Dakota. I don’t need New Jersey and New York coming here.
There are plenty of messed up blue states and the door is always open. If you don’t like it here, find a new home. I hope Florida can beat these. I’m so grateful to all my healthy Americans who send me these story ideas. I’ve got a new video for you tomorrow from someone in Idaho also fighting back against these propositions. So stay tuned for that. I’m going to interview a woman who has got a viral video going. But what I wanted to read to you was an opinion piece. And I will have a link for you in my sub stack.
And this right here, I’ll just share it with you so you’ll see where it is from. And it is SouthDakotaSearchlight.com. It’s commentary by Dana Hess. And the title is Twilight Zone Could Await If South Dakotans Approve Marijuana Measure. I want to read a little bit of this to you because I think it is so well written. And it says the ballot, this ballot measure would legalize adult use, but the sales would be up to the lawmakers. So think about it, friends. This benefits big business. Now, if the ballot were to say the state is no longer going to regulate marijuana and just have it enjoy it like it’s minty or something, right? You can grow mint in your backyard.
You can grow weed in your backyard. If that were the case, I think a lot of people might be in favor of that to get the government out of your business. But all y’all who are like, yeah, marijuana for all. You’re just voting for more government intrusion into your business and your choices. I don’t think you really want that. This is a major bait and switch on you. So don’t fall for it. So the commentator says this is like something out of the Twilight Zone. Imagine a world where marijuana is legal, but there’s no one who can sell it to you.
You’ve entered a place where the will of the people bumps up against the ideals of the legislature. You’ve entered South Dakota. This state may be headed to the Twilight Zone if measure 29 is approved by voters. This measure allows the possession of up to two ounces of marijuana and six marijuana plants. So this is different than the one in Florida. There are also provisions that allow the possession of marijuana edibles and cannabis concentrates. And I just want to make an aside. Some of my healthy Americans said that they are against the edibles because they are more attractive to children who might ingest them and think it’s fun and harmless.
So I just wanted to acknowledge those comments from you. This analyst goes on to say in his opinion piece, this measure calls for the transfer of marijuana without consideration. That’s the phrase. That means someone has to give it to you for free. Maybe your friend with six marijuana plants will be nice enough to give you a little. There will be no legal marijuana sales except through the existing medical marijuana program until the legislature takes action to authorize retail sales. Advocates for legalizing the sale of recreational marijuana. It’s so funny that it’s called recreational. Like that’s how you recreate.
It’s interesting to me. I like to swim, walk, do other things, but to each his own. I just don’t want the government being in my business. Imagine if the government regulated how many laps I could swim every day or on what days I could swim. They try to do that in California when they closed all the swimming pools. Or what’s next? I’m not in favor of the government being in my business related to health at all. Next week, after the election, I’m going to bring to you some coverage about this. Make America healthy again because I’m in favor.
It goes too far. I don’t want the government regulating my health choices, period. So here we go. Advocates for legalizing the sale of recreational marijuana learned a harsh lesson in 2020 with the passage of Amendment A in South Dakota. That marijuana omnibus amendment contained everything you’d ever want to know about recreational marijuana and medical marijuana. How to sell it, how to tax it, and how to regulate it. You’re voting for government expansion. Wait around for a different bill if you want to have legal marijuana. How about have the government out of your business altogether? He writes, the South Dakota Supreme Court found that Amendment A ran afoul of the state law requiring that the ballot issues must have only one subject.
While voters like the measure, the Supreme Court was right. Amendment A was overflowing with different issues. That’s why Amendment 29 is such a scaled back version of the ballot measure that was approved in 2020. If voters approve of it, the regulation and the taxation will be left up to the legislature. And that’s why this ballot measure could be quickly snuffed out. South Dakota’s legislature is heavily skewed toward the Republican Party. After November’s election, it may tip even more precariously to the right. It doesn’t even sound like this guy that’s writing it is much of a righty.
He says, after the last legislative session, a group of veteran lawmakers said that they weren’t running for office. Although it has happened before. It’s also hard to imagine that South Dakota’s legislature, which is top heavy with Republicans, will follow the will of the people if the measure is passed and set up rules for the lawful sale of marijuana. So there is a little bit of a safety net there in that the, it’s kind of like what happened in California in previous years where ballot measures were passed, but then it was left up to the legislature to do the final pieces, and it never went any farther than that.
I don’t know that much about the ballot measure for abortion. I did not have a chance to look into that, but I will tell you, as I wrote in my sub stack related to the constitutional amendment that is coming up in Florida and the constitutional amendment that was passed in the state of California two years ago. Right there in the state of California right after section one, which says all people are by nature free and independent and have inalienable rights among these are enjoying and defending life and liberty, acquiring, possessing and protecting property and pursuing and obtaining safety, happiness and privacy.
So, the California constitutional amendment that allows for killing innocent developing babies is in direct conflict with section one of the California Constitution. So if you are a follower of the healthy American you know that I have a great deal of compassion for all those who have been affected by abortion. Many in many healthy Americans actually have written to me saying, talking about their remorse and their regret and their past experiences and how their attitude and perspective has changed over the years that now they realize they were manipulated by the media and society and culture to believe that these developing babies were just a clump of cells.
That’s why they were called an embryo and a zygote instead of a human baby developing baby. And they were convinced to put convenience over motherhood. They believed in those my body my choice slogans popularized in the 1970s not realizing that there was another body involved of tiny vulnerable growing body that somehow didn’t get a choice in the matter. So, I have all of this in my sub stack about the proposition in Florida, and I want to thank all of you for being on board as healthy American stay tuned I’ve got another video for you, and I’ll see you tomorrow for another brand new video, and I hope you have an opportunity to join us for the free webinar for all of our financial partners, and that is on Saturday.
