BA WORRIED ABOUT 5G FB BANNER 728X90

Summary

➡ The David Knight Show talks about Toyota, a major car company, is making a lot of money by focusing on hybrid cars instead of fully electric ones. Despite some governments not liking hybrids, Toyota continues to sell them and is also exploring hydrogen technology. They’re also working on a project to capture and recycle carbon dioxide from cars. This shows that Toyota isn’t fully convinced about electric vehicles and is looking for other ways to reduce emissions.

Transcript

But let’s take a look at what they’re doing with the cars, because you can see how the central planning is going to work out. It’s already crashing and burning, literally, with the evs. One major car maker resisted ev mania. Now it is raking in the cash, and that’s Toyota. You look at Ford and GM, massive losses added to the bottom line from their EV stuff. Toyota got a lot of criticism because they, you know, we really think the hybrid thing is the way to go.

So the problem, though, is the governments don’t like that with a hybrid, even though reduced emissions and up the gasoline stuff. And it was practical for consumers because you still could have an engine that you could fill up. Oh, but no, we got to have absolute zero emissions. And so now they’re banning the hybrids in various places, but Toyota is continuing to sell those and selling them 40 times as many of those as they do the battery operated electric cars.

And Toyota is looking at this and saying, you know, this just is not sustainable. The technology is not there. And so they said, well, you want zero emissions? Let’s see if we can’t do it some other way. So they started playing around with hydrogen stuff, which is not finished. That technology is not done either. There’s no distribution network for it. But it’s like, okay, you’re telling me that you’re concerned about emissions.

Well, let’s see if we can do something about emissions. And I think they’re kind of puzzled. Like a lot of doctors and nurses were puzzled by the pandemic. MacGuffin, they said, okay, so you’re telling us there’s this virus that’s out there. Well, you know, what you do in terms of putting people on invasive ventilators, that doesn’t seem to work. And why don’t you let us try this or try that or try this other thing? How about ivermectin or HCQ and zinc or something? No, what it does.

But this Toyota thing is going to capture air and then extract the co2 from it, and then it’s going to use waste heat from the engine to inject the co2 into a disposable liquid. Now, I’m hoping that you’ll be able to do a co twoectomy of this thing. Maybe this will be a way for them to sell the cars. And as long as we can stop inspections at the local level, then you could pay extra to get this bag on the side and like some kind of a colostomy or something.

Co2 colostomy. Just cut this thing off. When you get it home, pay somebody. I’m sure there’d be a budding market for people to cut that off and then to reprogram the computer so you don’t have this nagging light and sound or something saying, it’s not working. It’s not working. It’s like, yes, I know, because I threw it in trash can. But anyway, the project is also another sure sign that Toyota remains strikingly unsold on electric vehicles.

Yeah, you can imagine the consternation of Biden and these central planners. It’s like, I think we’ve got them. Everything that people do is going to create carbon dioxide. So we tell everybody we got to measure the carbon dioxide. And then Toyota comes up. The engineers at Toyota come up with this, well, we can recycle the carbon dioxide and we can do more of it than the car is actually using.

And I just see Biden, we thought we had them with our sky hooks and now they found a way to redo the sky hooks. What are we going to do now? Because that’s what this is. This whole ridiculous scheme that Toyota is coming up with is nothing more than a pacifier that they’re sticking in the mouth of politicians like Biden. Toyota, depending on their engineers instead of government, says, s flow 818.

Yeah, you’re absolutely right. License says this could ironically be good for farmers who want to add co2 to their greenhouses. Yeah, we’ll see what form it takes when they convert it to a liquid. I’m almost wondering if they’re going to turn that into a fuel because they did this ridiculous thing with Porsche. Right, trying to say to the german government, don’t ban our internal combustion engines. We got an idea of how we can repurpose fuel.

We can extract co2 out of the air. All right, well, where are you getting your energy? How you’re going to generate co2? No, we will use windmills and we’ll put them at the tip of South American Patagonia or whatever, where the wind is constantly blowing. And so it’ll be pristine energy and we’ll use that energy to extract the co2 out of the air and we’ll make a liquid fuel that can be then put into a standard internal combustion engine.

It’s built to run on gasoline or something like that. They called it e fuel. Now, as you can imagine with this bespoke fuel that comes from these pristine area of these windmills in a certain area of Latin America, you can bet this thing is going to be really expensive. But, hey, we’re talking about porsches here, right? But maybe with a Toyota, maybe they’ll grab this stuff, turn it into a liquid, and then maybe you can even feed it back into your tank.

Who knows? Like a perpetual motion machine, it runs off of thin air co2. And that means that we’re going to have to make more co2. Those of us who don’t choose to go that route, we’ll be doing our part for the environment because we’ll be putting the co2 out there that the plants and now the Toyotas need in order to run as a public service. My barbecuing and raising cows and all of these, any activity that I engage in.

Toyota is writing a windfall of hybrid vehicle sales on its way to posting projected net profits of more than $30 billion for the fiscal year ending in March. How does that compare to some of the others? Well, $30 billion profit. Ford is making a $4. 3 billion profit. Toyota is making 30. Now, Ford could be making $9 billion profit, which still would be small compared to Toyota, but they had a $4.

7 billion loss, and so their net income is only 4. 3. Similar situation with GM as well, because Toyota has decided that they’re not going to let Joe Biden design the cars. Or Ursula, fond of lying in the UEU a 6. 6% increase in sales. Instead of car dealers that are just stacking up, they’ve got inventory in most of these other car dealerships. It’s 150% greater than it was last year.

So Toyota sold 15,000 evs. They’re just battery evs, but they sold 600,000 non rechargeable hybrids in the US. In other words, 40 times as many. And that is what people are looking at. In other words, it’s a practical situation and it’s a technology that is far more practical because it’s far more mature. Ford jumped onto this because, you know, hey, Biden said. So company previously planned to be able to produce 300,000 evs per year by 2023 and 2 million annually by 2026, but it delayed or missed both targets, according to NPR.

Moreover, Ford lost, like I said, $65,000 on every ev they sold, which is absolutely astounding. I mean, they’re not selling these cars even though they’re more expensive. Some of these cars cost less than $65,000, and yet they’re losing $65,000 on each one of these cars. That’s where their $4. 7 billion loss came in. I guess they decided they’d make it up on volume. We’re losing $65,000 per car we sell, but we’re going to make it up in volume.

They’re also slowing down their investment. They plan on putting? 12 billion into the EV business. But, you know, this is the way it works. If you keep losing money, you don’t have any to invest. Toyota appears to be in better shape than competitors because Toyota chooses to be less guided by central planners and political correctness and more by consumers.
